Alright, I will leave the date out just to be safe and maybe do it later if I want. Thanks so much for the advice, what would I do without you guys to help me make my decisions. -
Show us your flower girl dresses
JulieG replied to PaulaV's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
That is beautiful. I love it. We went with simple dresses from Burlington Coat Factory cause we know the girls will never wear them again. There are 3 of them, 1 5 months, 1 25 months and one 14 months. These are the dresses they will all be wearing and there is a pic of my niece who will be 25 months when she is wearing it, trying it on when she was a little younger and it was too big for her. -

Can you find one in pink that ships to Canada? lol I love it, I would totally put one on my purse, but I have looked and not seen any. Brown would work as well, my colours are pink and brown. -

Ours will just move inside if the weather doesn't cooperate... It is an option to move to another location, but we do have our hearts set on getting married on the beach. So, I think we might opt to change the day over changing the venue. Does that make sense? You are right, I never thought about just a heart and J, that works. -

As far as initial, I'd put your married initials over your maiden initials if you are going to change your last name. My married initial eh, that will be the first time I ever use it. lol Kinda freaky. But you are right, it is my name. Also, good point, he has pretty small fingers. I will just put the quote and then the heart and initials and if there is room, later I can put in the date when I know the right one. I thought about that, but I feel like I want to do it now as its his gift. I could just leave out the date and put more good than bad and heart J? What do you think about that. I could always add the date later I guess. What initial do I use? -
Now that we finally have our bands, I am going to get FH's engraved as part of his present. I want to know what to do. On the inside I want to put "More Good Than Bad" an inside joke, and I also want to put the date of our wedding and a heart and my initials. So, do I put the date? I am worried that the date could change cause of weather, so should I chance it? Also, do I put a heart and then JR, or JG (my new initials once I get married)? Advice please.

Okay, crying now. I have to figure out a way to honour my brother in law without making my sister ball. I love these ideas, but I think they might be too much for her to handle. I will figure it out though. keep the ideas coming.

Courtney, I love love the maggie dress and think it would look great on you. If it makes it any easier to decide, I say go for it. The other store makes me mad. I refeused to buy any dress in a store that would not tell me the designer and the make of the dress. They do this because they are charging you MORE and don't want you to go elsewhere to buy the dress. So, I refused to ever buy a dress from one of those stores. We have 2 in my city, I went in once, this is the game they played, and I never went back. FYI, I fell in love with shoes in one of those stores, they were really busy, so they accidentally left me with the box and I wrote all the info down. She seriously tried to take the paper away from me that I wrote it on when she saw me. I laughed and said yeah right and walked out of the store. They were selling the shoes for $140. I got them online for $60. So, this is an example of what those stores are like. Totally up to you though, its your dress and you need to love it no matter what, but I thought if you are tied, then why give that store your business. Oh, I also told the store that was why they were NOT getting my business. -

I bought my dress today (ebay)!

So I am figuring that the longer I can get them to store it for me, the better! I DO feel much better. I love this dress. I don't look in the mirror and think, "it is going to look so good when I lose 10 lbs". I look in the mirror and just BEAM. No negative thoughts about it at all. I am not sure if I can/will get pics tomorrow though. Tonight we are having our "block party" and tomorrow I have a pretty full day, so if I am hungover and all bleery eyed, I ain't doing it! But the shop is only a few miles from my house, so I can stop by another time for pics. I think it is too much money, but any other dress would have been settling. I am so happy that you are so happy. This is how you are supposed to feel about your dress, not the way you felt about the ebay one. I think thats an awesome idea, paying it slowly so they have to hold it. Good call. If you are hung over, take pics where we can't see your face. lol A lot of people on here do that. No worries, we will know its you. Beaming - that is exactly how its supposed to be. -

WOOO HOOO I am so so so happy that you got the dress you loved. You have to post the picture again cause now I don't remember which one it was. When you go in to sign the contract, take your camera and take a pic of you in it. We ALL want to see the dress that you fell in love with. With your mom paying $1000 and the 40% off discount, you still need to make a payment plan? I am scared, what did I talk you into. Just kidding, its the dress you love and you have lots of time to pay it off. And, hopefully you can sell it after. Contratulations on getting the dress you love. -
I am in love with that dress. Seriously, I have never seen anything like it. I love it!!! Oh yes, the pictures, lol. Stunning Leigh, not that I am surprised, your work is always amazing. It looks like such a fun couple and such a fun wedding. Could that dog be any cuter?

If you have help from your mom, get some drugs in your body and get your butt over there and try that dress on for her. When she loves it as much as you do, she will tell you to buy it. So no excuses, take some pain killers and just go. Go on your lunch or leave early or something, but GO.
