Seriously isn't sodium bad and makes you retain water? Yes, sodium is really bad. You are supposed to stay away as much as possible. You can combat bloating by drinking lots and lots of water though. That is so awesome that your dress is fitting better. I agree, it is motivation. I still have 3 more weeks of bootcamp, and then I will get my butt to the gym as much as humanly possible before the wedding.

Huh, how do I get it. lol I have a friend in NY, but I am not sure when he is coming here next. And what happens if it does not fit or does not look good. This is sad. lol

I think its included in the cost though, if they have to take it in more, I don't think they charge you more. For the price they quote you, they have to make it right.
  4. Welcome back and congratulations. I love love love your dress, its beautiful and looked amazing on you. You looked so radiant. Did your DH's ring not fit? I can't wait to hear all about it and see your pro pics. I am so jealous because as you know I wanted to get married in Costa Rica.
  5. I really wish they shipped to Canada, I am in love with this dress ECI Ruched Eyelet Dress - Dresses - Nordstrom.com
  6. So, I just went to try my dress on again (I got new shoes and they are shorter, so I had to catch her before she hemmed it, I did not want to pay more for her to hem it even more) and, I need to have it taken in even more! I am so excited, that is 2 times it has had to be taken in cause I lost weight. YAY!!! I am hoping it will be taken in 1 more time before the wedding

I will need the mental break from my cake anyway, I get clouded and frustrated sometimes. I can work out while they are baking.
  8. I am so glad you worked out so hard Jill, that is awesome. Thanks for all your tips for the shower. You are totally right. The issue is I can't work out at home at all, and I will be making a cake all night tonight and tomorrow morning (it takes me a long time) for the party tomorrow which starts at 1. So, no working out possible either tonight or tomorrow. I have an elliptical in the basement that I would love to use, but we are in the midst of finishing our basement so its a mess down there and there is no room for me to use it. So I am kinda stuck. Maybe I can bring it up tonight and then back down after. I have people coming to see my house after the shower, so my house also has to be clean (my friends who live in Toronto where I used to live have not seen our new house yet). So, if I have time where I am not making the cake, I should be cleaning. lol At least I will be busy running around, that will be somewhat of a workout.

You know what I just thought about, I got my period this morning, so maybe I am bloated and retaining some water and I lost more than 1 lb. I am holding on to that hope. I guess I will know next Friday morning for sure. lol
  10. It is too big on you, but do you have to get another size or just have it altered? How much time do you have cause it did not take long to get at all. It does look really great on you, but I can tell its too big, so it will look amazing when it fits right. Congratulations. Do you love it? You have not told us. lol

LOL I know wine/liquor/beer/soda/pop isn't good for the diet sooo what I do is I order a vodka pressed with a dash of cranberry juice. It tastes AMAZING. PLus it rehydrates you too. Or you can do rum and diet coke. What do you like to drink Julie anyways? haha I like all the girly slushy drinks that are really bad for me. I also love Malibu, so I do that with cranberry and/or diet coke. Maybe I will have Malibu with club soda and a splash of cranberry, that might be good. Its not so much the drinking that I am worried about, its all the food. We are foodies, we love food in my family. So I know there will be lots of it. I am not going to say what I know will be there cause it will just make people hungry and give them cravings, but its going to be HARD. My sister already warned me about the food. lol
  12. Was that too mean? I hope not. lol So, I have been eating so well, aside from last weekend. And I weigh myself every Friday. I also went to bootcamp twice and it was HARD last night. I only lost 1 lb this week. I know I am happy that its something, but feel like it should be so much more than that. Only 5 more weigh in's till I leave, I better get at least 2 lbs next Friday. Although, this weekend is my step-dad's 50th birthday and my shower. Oops.

  15. Yay, its about time. I love love love it. You look so good in it and you are glowing and happy. I love that. I can't wait to see the pics on your wedding day. Congrats, the dress is perfect on you.
  16. Its 2:48 my time. Jill, what time zone are you in? lol I need to see the pics.

  18. They look so small though, I am worried about them not fitting enough sand. We have a pretty huge vase. lol

Yes, I think the $230 is pricey too, but I totally understand why. She has to chop a lot of material off and the lace on my dress goes down at an angle, so she has to raise the lace up so it doesn't get cut off. She's fixing the neckline to make it lay flatter, she's cutting down the modesty panel because I didn't want it all the way up the corset. She's putting in cups, she's doing a really cute bustle, she has to hem the crinoline under my dress and she's also hemming my crinoline skirt that I'm wearing under my dress because its too long, like everything else. I think thats everything, so I do understand that she's doing a lot of work I may try my dress without the additional skirt when I get it. I bought a narrow one because I didn't want it too poufy, but I still feel like its too poufy, so maybe when I get it home I'll try it alone. pictures to come soon, around 2:00 I will be sitting here waiting for the pics!!

I have a lean cuisine for lunch and a string cheese for an afternoon snack and I'll probably be having a grilled chicken salad for dinner again. Great job Jill!!! Make sure you work out tonight. I had a good day yesterday. Today so far I have had a boiled egg and 1 piece of whole wheat toast and I am not drinking a skim milk latte with a splenda and some cinnamon. I brought a 300 cal frozen meal for lunch but forgot that I made plans to have lunch with a friend. So hopefully can find somewhere that as a good salad or something low cal for lunch. Not sure about dinner yet.
  21. I bought a vase with a lid (stopper) at a thirft store and am going to add some of our ribbon to it. My question is, what do I use to pour the sand into the vase that I am keeping? I don't want to buy more glass containers and try to bring them all with me without breaking, its going to be hard enough to worry about one. Help please!
  22. I also got mine at Old Navy. I asked everyone what shoe size they are so I had the exact ones. Believe it or not I found out the most popular size was a 9 then an 8, I totally would have thought 7 or 8. We also have one girl who is an 11, so I am very glad I asked everyone first.
  23. She is killing us isn't she. I keep checking and checking and checking and nothing. Jill, where are the pics?
  24. Heidi, I am so sorry for your loss. I know I hate it when people say sorry, but I never know what to say in these situations. I feel terrible that this is happening to you. At least its happening at a happy time in your life when you have a new baby and wedding to look forward to. Remember that he did love you, he was not himself for the past while, but he still loved you. Remember the good times you shared with him and the good things about him. No need to worry about that bad anymore. I lost my dad when I was 3, so while I know what its like to lose a father, I don't know what its like to lose one I remember. My thoughts are with you and your family. Take care of yourself and your baby.
