I Got My Veil!!!

Thank you so much guys, you are all right though, it was so sweet of my mom and I really really appreciate it. I think I am going to start a tradition with it, since my mom got it for me, and try to pass it on, first nieces and then my own kids, to wear it. Hopefully some of them will want to wear it. -

Ladies, you only have to wait till Saturday for the veil pics, lol is that so hard. I will post pics on Saturday, I promise, of me in my dress (first fitting but it should be totally done except for any changes I might need) and I will be wearing the veil. That is so much better then just the veil. lol Laura, I have my other veil now that I do not need at all. So, if you are interested, you should come and check it out, after my wedding of course. I will post pics of the shower as soon as I get them. -

The Michaels near us has tshirts in just about every color you could want. Maybe you can order them through Michaels and pick them up at the store to save on shipping costs? If you are really stuck trying to find them I would be more than happy to buy them here and ship them to you if it works out fairly cheaply for you. Just let me know if that would help you out. If you calculate the shipping, we are located in Albany, New York zip code 12203 in case the shipping calculator needs a zip code. The Michaels near us had no brown, no natural and only see through white ones. So, I don't even know if they have them in the other colours and they were just out or what. I went on the first day of the sale though. The sale is over now, so that would not matter. I have been searching on line and the shipping is a lot of money. I know they would weigh a lot, but come on $35 for shipping, seems crazy to me. -

FH has a bunch of shirts that he did the iron on transfers for for his band, and he did them in black and forrest green and navy and they all worked out perfectly. I wonder if its the brand of transfer paper you used. -

Well, they were $4 for $10 at Michaels and I thought that was a good price, but they only had see through white ones and no other colour that would work for us. Also, I need them soon, I leave in 27 days for my wedding, so I need to get them soon. I should have done this a long time ago I know, but it was a money issue, so I had to get the bigger priorities purchased first. -

They were o.k. for .99 cents a piece though. The ones you posted look exactly the same... Hand Fans, Paper Fans That is too bad. I guess that is the good thing about heading to china town like I did, I got to try out tons till I found the ones I wanted. Has anyone got the ones from the Knot and can you tell us about them?

I know this question has been asked before, BUT, I need to know where I can get some delivered to Canada for cheap. I need at least 23, but if they are a good deal then I will get them for everyone, so 51. I am looking for blank t-shirts, preferrably in chocolate brown or natural or white (not see through though) that we can but a t-shirt transfer on with our logo for the men. We are planning on just the men right now cause we got Pash's and flip flops for the ladies. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If so, you can tell the other brides if they are good quality, etc. lol That is your consolation prize, helping other brides on the board. lol

I actually did pretty well with my eating, Jill was right I was doing too much talking and moving around to eat much. I will not tell you what I did eat cause it will make you all drool, but it was a great time. I will have pics soon. My friend took 2 rolls of film and has some digital ones. So, she will send them to me when she gets a chance and I will develop the film ones hopefully tonight.

And, I got a few very thoughtful gifts, but most people put in money so my FH and I can get a really really good digital camera. I want to start taking photography classes after the wedding, so this is the perfect gift and FH loves to take pics as well. In a nut shell, it was amazing. I am so not used to things being thrown for me, I am the throwee, not the honouree, lol so it was a strange feeling. -

I know they have them in large sizes at Staples. So, why not try that option. I think they even have whole sheets, ie one huge clear label. -

Alright, I am soo happy. I will start with some background. (this is going to be long) I bought a veil a few months back that I liked, but did not LOVE. I bought it because it was cheap and nice and I am too broke right now to spend more money on a veil. I went with one of my BM's to pick up her dress and the put us in a room upstairs. She is getting married next August, so I made her try some dresses on because she has not done that yet. So, while finding dresses for her I stumbled across a veil. I LOVED IT!!! It was exactly what I was looking for. There was no price tag on it, so I asked the girl working there. She came back up and said it was $179. My heart sunk because I knew I could not buy it. My BM even said "maybe I should buy it and you can wear it first". I thought that was soooo sweet, but she does not even have a dress yet, the veil might look terrible. So I said thank you, but I can't let you do that. Right after I left the store my mom called me, so naturally I told her all about it. She agreed that it was too much to spend right now. I asked FH when I got home if I could have it, he said no, it was too much money to spend right now (he did not know I already had one). So, I was crushed but let it go. Yesterday was my shower. I opened my mom's present second last. I opened the box and saw a sticker that said Bridal Wreath and my heart started to beat fast and I got tears in my eyes, and then I cried a little. I opened the tissue and it was my veil. My mom got it for me. She actually ran to the store when I got off the phone with her and told the lady I was just there and tried on the veil. The woman remembered me because I loved it. She said it just came in THAT DAY and that is why there was no price on it. I was the first and only person to try it on. She said "it was meant to be". Sorry, I just had to gush cause I am sooo happy. I have no idea why because its just a veil, but it spoke to me, I swear. And then my mom did the sweetest thing. I do not have a pic, FH was home last night when I got home from the shower. I will try to take one tonight, but its hard to do by myself. I do have a fitting on Saturday, so maybe I will wait till then and try it all on together. Sorry for the long post, but I had to tell you all how happy I am and how sweet my mother is.

Mel, I think it looks great. I totally don't think you need anything else. What are your colours? Maybe a ribbon in your colours instead of white might add a little more to it. But, I don't think you need anything. I really like it. Since you have nothing better to do, can you make me one as well. My colours are pink and brown. LMAO!! -

I don't because I bought the spary (I am putting it on the tables at my wedding, not giving one to each person) and the spray was $3.43. I just say the towelettes in the bins, did not see the price. They were not made by OFF though, they were Deep Woods. Maybe those ones are cheaper. Did you check out the Deep Woods ones? -
