I was admitted to the labor/delivery unit, which was nice because they have nice private rooms and after 12 hours of hell in the ER I was ready for some peace and quiet. Anyways, I had an ultrasound and all is well with the baby. I was given 11 bags of IV and IV Reglan and Pepcid. Now I am home and have to continue on the pill form of Reglan and Pepcid and try to keep some food down. Hopefully I don't end up back in the hospital but if I do they told me I will be able to get right up to the maternity floor instead of staying in the ER so that's good. Man, I would love to fast forward right to my due date!!! I am so sorry to hear about what you are going through. I ended up in the hospital early on as well, I was on a gravol drip for hours because of my nausea. I went and got drugs from my doctor the next day and got better once they kicked in. I hope the same happens for you, I hope what you are taking helps and from now on it gets easier. I am sorry you are going through all of this.

Foods not available in the US (but are in Canada)

And they are bigger than M&M's and a sort of oval shape. This is the box And this is what they look like And they taste soo good. -
Dreams Punta Cana (Formerly Sunscape the Beach) when I was there for a wedding there were at least 3 weddings a day. My friend could not have her reception where she wanted because there were 3 other weddings on her day, so she got the only option available to her. Granted she planned NOTHING in advance, so that could have been avoided, but there was seriously weddings everyday and a lot of them. I am sure that has changed though now that its Dreams.

I had no idea you didn't have ketchup chips, they were my fave as a kid. Someone said we don't have butterfingers, but we do. I know that for sure, I love chocolate bars. You have so many great things there that we don't have here, we get some of them eventually, but you get it all first. Whenever we go on a road trip to the US we hit a grocery store. My DH does not drink, but loves non-alcoholic beer and you guys have so many great variety's that we don't get here, so I always get that for him. I am shocked you don't have smarties, those are a big part of childhood, kids love smarties. And we do have Miami's still, I saw one not long ago at the grocery store, just an FYI. I would love to hear about more things that you don't have that we do, that is pretty cool, I am so used to it being the other way around. Oh and our Ice Tea is awesome, the stuff in the US is just strange. And the way you drink hot tea is weird to, we put ours in a pot and steep it, but you guys just give us a mug to put the bag into, its sooo wrong, it needs to steep first -
I am sure I am in that other thread that was posted, but I got them done for my wedding and I loved them. I got up everyday and did not need to put on make-up at all, perfect in the heat, because they looked great and I was ready to go out with only sunscreen. I do recommend setting up an appointment to get them removed though, once they start to fall out they bug you and you will pick at them and that is not cool because you pick them off and your eyelashes come with them. So, either have the redone (they fill in the empty spots for a lot cheaper) or have them removed right away when they start to come off. I can't speak for all places, but the one I got stayed on for a good 4 weeks before any came out. And I swam everyday all day and showered at least 2 times a day while in Cuba.

Laura, your pictures turned out amazing, who did you use again? You guys all look sooo happy and so in love. You looked stunning, your hair came out perfect and I love how happy you look, you are radiating. Rayden is just the cutest thing ever!!! I can't wait to see the reception shots. Thank you all for the compliments on the cake. It was a lot of work, 24 hours worth of work to be exact (not in a row), but I was happy with the way it turned out. For my first tiered cake I think I did pretty good. I learned some things along the way, thanks to Laura and I will be sure to not make the same mistakes again in the future. Glenda I would love to bake for you everyday, it really is a dream of mine to do this for a living. Sorry for the hijack, back to the stunning bride and her picture perfect family!!!

Everything looks good. It was so exciting to meet our baby for the first time. I was sure it was going to look like an unrecognizable blob but it didn't it looked like a baby with a huge head and tiny body. They said it was kind of too early to get measurements of my cervix which is what I went for so I have to go back Aug. 25th for another ultrasound. The baby's heart was beating 160 bpm and measured big so my due date is moved up from Feb. 10th to Feb. 2nd. I'm so excited! That is great news, I am so glad to hear everything went so well. And yay, another ultrasound. I would have another one if they let me. I would do it every month.

I came to realize this the hard way. Your FBIL sounds so much like my brother when it comes to spending habits. We gave 2 yrs notice to everyone to save. During the past year I have seen him spend money hand over fist buying cars (already had 2) and "toys", all the while saying he'd be there. Time for deposit comes and an hour after the deadline I get an Facebook message (grrr) with a sob story about all the upcoming bills he has, it would cost too musch to get a house/child/pet sitters and he just can't afford to come to our wedding. Although, I think 95% of his reason is that my sister booked and he hates her (got to love family issues), rather than money issues. I came to the conclusion, our day is going to happen regardless, the way we want and those who want to be there will try their best to do so. My advice is to hold off on the bridesmaid dress for little, set a cut off date for the FBIL, if he hasn't booked that date then he's not going to be part of the wedding party, let him know, and if he does book by then your mom has the time she needs to make the dress. Otherwise you are going to have so much more stress than you really need. Very well said. One of my best friends and BM for my wedding bailed on me very last minute. She already had her deposit paid and the dress paid for, and bailed when it came time to pay the final amount. I offered to pay for all of her trip but $400 and she had already paid $100, so she only had to come up with $300 and she had a year to save for it. I watched her spend money on stupid things, etc. but I really wanted her there so was willing to push our budget to get her there. Turns out she could not even come up with $400 in one year to be at her best friends wedding. So, I finally said screw it, its too much stress for me and more money and she does not seem to be trying hard enough, so I decided to let it go. I was so happy once I did, I felt better about everything and I hate to say it, but I did not notice on my wedding day that she was not there. I was so busy with the wedding and being in love with my husband and happy, that I didn't think about her. Do not worry if you have more people on your side or vice versa, it does not matter and no one will even bat an eyelash over it, its a DW, there are no rules, it is what you make it. One of my friends had 1 BM show and her DH had no GM's show, but they got married anyway and it worked out great. So do not stress about it, if he books, great, if not, oh well his loss. Only have your mom make 2 dresses and just use your 2 BM's if FSIL books later, and there is enough time to make her a dress, then great, if not, the she misses out, its really not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, you are marrying the love of your life, that is the only thing that matters.

Is it bad luck to tell anyone that youre pregnant....
JulieG replied to BarefootBride's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
Congratulations!!! Do not worry about the drinking, I did it as well, I had no idea I was pregnant. I think almost everyone does it, if we are not thinking we can be pregnant, then we don't act like we are. Get some pre-natals now and some folic acid and just start taking it, you will be fine. This is exciting, I can't wait to hear how you decide to tell your FI and how he reacts. I think his birthday would be perfect, if you can last that long, I know I would not be able to. -
my labor story (with Ainsleigh photos) *long*
JulieG replied to Christine's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
Christine she is just perfect!!! Thank you for sharing your story and your pictures. I am glad labour was not too hard on you, you completely deserved to have an okay time of it all after all you went through while pregnant. -
I think that I’m going to explode if I don’t get this out…
JulieG replied to Linzibella's topic in Random Thoughts
My pregnancy test was also a faint line, and when I went to my doctor she also told me it was very faint, but that was just because it was so early on in the pregnancy and I am now 34 and a half weeks, so I am sure that is all that is going on. With respect to the drinking, I think most of us did/do that before we know we are pregnant, if we are not actively trying, why would we even think to not drink, so do not worry about that. I wanted to go to a wedding in Scotland last weekend and my doctor told me that flying was fine as well because I was healthy enough. My husband on the other hand did not want to chance and it really did not like the idea of me flying. So, it will be fine to fly as long as all is well with you. I do agree though that you should try to move your wedding up or back and see if you can just use the same deposits, I am sure the resort would let you. Talk to your travel agent and find out your options before you make a decision. Congratulations!!! -
Wow, today was your due date, that is so hard to believe. I can't believe she is 8 weeks old already, what a whirlwind those 8 weeks were. She is just too cute, I love all the hair.

Help me choose my bouquet...
JulieG replied to maui_dec_08's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I love the colours and how beachy number 5 is. They are all beautiful, but I really love number 5. -
I would totally wear my dress again. You spend a lot of money on the dress you think is the perfect one and you only get to wear it once, I would totally love to wear mine again. And those people who did not get to see what you looked like on your wedding day will now get to. So I would totally do it. I would love a reason to wear mine again.
