  2. Welcome to the forum Karen. I got married in Cuba so if you have any questions, let me know. Happy Planning.
  3. I love both of these dresses on you and don't think you can go wrong with either. I see why its so hard for you to decide. I chose the Amsale, but really I do love them both. Sorry, I am not much help at all.
  4. This dress is stunning, I love it. It looks perfect on you. Congratulations.
  5. They did a great job on the dress and it looks great on you. Good deal and thanks for sharing your experience.
  6. I like it all up. I think it will be cooler in the heat and you can spray the crap out of it and it will stay put all night. Half up will get messy in the humidity and not look as good at the end of the night.

I declined to get those tests done so I don't really know what waiting for the results is like, but I can imagine. Martha, I cried over cheese the other day. There was none left in the fridge. I got so upset my Mom went and got me more. Well, my ultrasound is 1:00 Monday and I'm starting to get a little hopeful that we will find out the sex. Keep your fingers crossed that the baby cooperates and we find out on Monday. I am dying to know. Also, I have been feeling much better except for getting sick every morning but that's tolerable. I have been eating a lot more lately. So i think at my Sept. 2nd doctor's visit I may be able to have the picc line removed from my arm so no more IV!!!! That is great news that you are feeling better. My fingers are crossed that you get to have your Picc line removed. Before your ultrasound, drink a big glass of orange juice and eat some chocolate. I wish they had told me this before mine. It makes the baby more active and more around more. We could not find out at our u/s because she would not move at all and her legs were crossed and her bum was up against "the wall". So there was no way to see anything. We ended up having a 3D ultrasound just so we could find out and they told me to drink and eat lots of sweet stuff and chocolate before I came in, and it totally worked. Lizz, I had the testing done as well. I hated the waiting game, but it was all worth it in the end. Also, keep in mind that there can be some false positives, others have gone through that and had to go back for more tests and it turned out it was nothing, I just want to let you know in case it happens to you. I am sure it won't though.

I went to the ER because I thought I was miscarrying, but they called it a subchrionic hemmorage That was at 12 weeks, and I am at 16 now. They also think I might have placenta previa (or partial)... not sure yet. I will find out more at my 19 weeks appt. Because of this I have been going to the doctor once a week, and so far have had 4 ultrasounds! Everything is right on track though, so I pray the baby is safe! Talk about stressful....! Does anyone know of these things?? The girl in the hospital room with me had Placenta Previa. She had to have a c-section and had to have the baby early, I think 36 weeks. She had some problems, lots of bleeding, so she was on bed rest for the last few months, she had no choice. But I know there are different degrees of it and it does not affect everyone the same way. Her baby was very healthy though, just smaller than her other children because she was early.
  9. Do you not have an email address for your WC? We did everything by email, you shouldn't need to call them at all. Ask your TA or search their website and see if you can find the email address you need.
  10. I love this dress and it looks stunning on you. Great choice. I also love the pink shoes and totally wish I had went with coloured shoes. I love them and think they will be perfect.
  11. I have been a little busy lately as my daughter arrived 15 days early. I am going to post a thread about it, but I have been busy. I just wanted to comment about co-sleeping. We have a bassinet beside our bed that we hoped to use. Ella hates it, everytime we put her in, even if she is sound asleep, she cries. So, we went and got the Close and Secure Sleeper Toys"R"Us - Close and Secure Sleeper and we love it and so does she. She is right there in our beds and its perfect for feeding in the middle of the night. Also, it goes in the crib, so when we are ready to transition her, we will just put it directly into the crib for a few nights and then just take it away altogether. Its great for traveling as well, not that we have had overnight trips yet, but we will. Also, I wanted to say that if our next child is a boy, we will NOT have him circumcised. I see both sides and do not think either is right or wrong, but I left it up to my husband, as he has a penis and I do not, and he is very against it and does not want to do it. So, we will not do it. I just wanted people to know our choice so no one feels alone in their decisions. But I think its a personal choice and neither of them is wrong.

I am not gasping or anything, just not able to catch a full breath of air. I called my doc and the nurse said that it is probably just the baby pushing up on my diaphram. I figured it was, but I thought it was too early for that? Question, what do Braxton Hicks feel like? I know like contractions, but can someone explain it to me that has actually felt them? I have been having them for a while. They feel different at different times. Sometimes it just feels like a tightening or cramping pain in my belly sometimes at the bottom, sometimes in the middle. And sometimes it feels like I have to run to the bathroom, like I have diarrhea pains and I need to go really badly, but then I get there and nothing, but still the pain. My doctor said both of these pains are BH, not sure why they are different at different times, but that is how I feel them. That is great news Lisa that it was negative. I had a feeling that would be the result, but I am glad to know that you don't have to worry about it.

There would only be a CS if the baby got to be really big. Even then, its an option, you can still decide to do it on your own. My one friend has GD and her son was 12 lbs 3 ounces. He broke the record at our hospital here. But when she was told he would be so big, she asked for CS, you don't have to, but she did not want to try to push him out. lol I would have done the same thing. But, at the same time, like I said, I have one friend who had it and her daughter was an average 7 lbs, so if its caught on time, then you can control it and your baby will not get too big. The friend I referred to above kept putting off her test, she had her reasons, and didn't find out she had GD till around 30 weeks. Even then I am not so sure she did her best to keep it under control.

  16. Morgan, I have not been to MX, but when I go I will visit some of these places for sure. That is so great of you and Jason to provide this info to brides who are going to be married in the area. I am sure it will help a lot of people get better shots of their TTD because of it, especially if they are bringing down their own photographers who do not know the area.

I just got back from my 3 hour. It wasn't so bad. Luckily my mom lives 4 miles from the docs office - so I went there and layed down between my blood tests. Worked perfect. I'll know tomorrow how the test went. They let you leave? They do not let you leave here when you are getting the test, you have to sit there, where they can see you, for the whole time. That is not too bad at all if they let you leave. Glad to hear it went well. My fingers are crossed for good results. But, a few of my friends had GD and its not a big deal really, you just have to be careful what you eat and check your sugar everyday. 1 of them did not have a c-section either because she knew she had it so she was controlling it and the baby did not get to big. So if you do have it, I would not worry about it too much, its very very common and goes away after birth.
  18. This happens a lot. How much time do you have till your wedding? I say leave it alone for a while and in a few months try your dress on again, if you have time of course. And then see how you feel about it. You bought it so recently, so it just might be that you are nervous about it right now. I went through that and in the end I loved my dress, it was perfect for me. I just needed to put it aside for a while and not think about it too much. As women we tend to over think things and this is one of those things.
  19. I didn't even know they had the baby's, thanks for keeping me current Those pictures are great, all 3 of them are going to be the most beautiful kids ever, how can they not with that DNA. If I had their money, I would totally have 6 kids, I would adopt as well, no need to be pregnant 6 times that is for sure. Good for them.
  20. I like them in the following order 3, 1, 2, 4. I think 3 is the best on you, then number 1. I think you look amazing in number 3.

She said it could be nothing since it wasn't that high - but they want to make sure. What really sucks is that I can't eat the entire time. That means I can't eating anything until almost noon. Nice! Other than that news, we've been on vaca for the past fews days and I've been feeling o.k. Lots of walking....In the mornings I've been getting very light headed and dizzy. I've drank a little caffein and it gets better. It may just be the air in this cabin we are in. Hope you girls are feeling good!! 2 of my friends had to do the 3 hour test and they both passed them and did not have GD, so I would not worry about it, I am sure you are fun. It just sucks to have to do a 3 hour test and just sit there, with no eating that day. Ughh, but its good to know the outcome, so its worth it.
  22. We got married in Holguin and there was LOTS to do off the resort. People from our group did all kinds of stuff all the time and loved it all. So do not let that be a concern of yours. Varadero is more of a party place and not so high on the R&R, I was there 2 times and in Holguin for our wedding and Holguin is much much more relaxing. So look into it a little more before you just change your mind. If I can help you out at all, please let me know. As I said, I have been to Varadero twice and Holguin once.
  23. OMG!!! I have never seen this thread. I was not an ass and ignoring it, really, I just never knew it existed till right now. Where the heck have I been? Thank you all so much for posting this and for congratulating us. I only have 21 days to go now, so soon you will all be hearing about our little one and seeing some pictures. Again I am so sorry I never saw this thread!!
