Sarah, I have that dress in Riveria Sky, what size would she be? I wore it for a wedding a few years ago. Mine is a little longer though, I will look on the website and see if I can find the exact dress. Mine is a 10, if that works and you like the colour, she can have it. Let me know.

help which store is right or wrong
JulieG replied to amesharpe's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I would call the store and tell them exactly what you told us, that you looked into it and they are not being honest. I would say that if the dress is being sold off the rack than she deserves a discount. If she can not get a discount, then she is not interested in the dress and will find something else at another store. Go that route and see what they say. I personally would not buy a dress from this store because they lied to me. I would find something else I loved somewhere else. -

Black for a wedding.. honest opinion
JulieG replied to nikkib's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Black is a very popular wedding colour, I was a BM in 2 weddings in 08 and one was black and pink and the other was black and white. It was nice because I got to wear black twice and I had an 8 week old and then a 2 month old, so I loved not wearing a bright colour. -
Vote for me! PETA Sexiest Vegetarian Next Door
JulieG replied to Amy&Andy's topic in Random Thoughts
I voted as well, and Curt will vote as well. My fingers are crossed for you. -
They charged our room for the wedding, and we paid it before we left. We did have to pay the photographer for the pictures and the videographer for the dvd on the spot on the wedding day though. No one told us that and we of course had no money on us, so that was strange. We thought we would pay it all later, so keep that in mind. The TTD was sooo much fun, I totally recommend it. Most people go more sexy with it, but we are just not that kind of couple, so we went the fun route, that is just who we are If you have any questions, ask away.

You got a rehearsal That is awesome, they did not do them when I got married there. We bought repellent and put it on each of the tables at our wedding reception because at night is when the bugs get bad. They were not too bad, but the spray did help.

We really don't need another Bobby and Whitney in this world. I hope she is smart and charges him and leaves him. He should do jail time and hopefully he will sell less albums because of it. He will get what is coming to him.

Our wedding package was free, meaning the legal fees, my hair, the ceremony, my bouquet and grooms bout, I can't remember what else, but we got all that because we had over 20 rooms booked. I think that is the requirement, if the free package still exists. Also, if you want the dinner to be at the buffet restaurant its all free. I saw a set up and they give you a private section and do a nice job of it, it all depends on what you are looking for. We did the beach BBQ because it is what I wanted, and I loved it, it was perfect. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Kosh, I am going to reply to your PM to me, it just takes me a little longer than it used to because I have a 6 month old

Your pictures are amazing!! I love love love the TTD ones. I can't wait to see the rest. Did they move the area where you have your ceremony or did you ask for it to be moved? It used to be under that cool tree you are all posing in in one of your pictures. It was good because then no one could stand in front of you. Just curious. Did you have a great time? -

Engagement Ring - GONE!!!! **UPDATE #67**

BUT idk if that would cover an item stolen OUTSIDE of the home again, doesnt hurt to ask! I was going to say the same thing, mine is covered under my homeowners policy and I have State Farm. I suggest you call them and see what they say, it can't hurt. -

Is this too MUCH??
JulieG replied to August2010Bride's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I can't believe its a BM dress, totally looks like a wedding gown. I think its really nice and I like the idea, I love the dusty rose. Its your day, you should have the dress you love no matter what. If you love it, then go for it!!! -
I had 3 random guests at my wedding and it was not an issue, in my mind, at all. They paid for themselves to come and were keeping friends that I teally wanted there company. If I had any issues with the people I would have said they could not come to the wedding, but I have no say over who goes to the resort, and I would not even try to tell someone no. So I think IMHO they have every right to bring a friend, but you have to tell them politely that they can't come to dinner due to costs and your friend should totally understand and respect that.

We had plans with friends, BUT, my daughter got exposed to Chicken Pox on Christmas day (her cousins broke out the next day and the day after) and my friends DH has never had them and he starts his training with the OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) tomorrow, so he could not chance getting them. So we stayed home with a sick baby and got take out and watched a movie. She woke up at 11:50 crying, so we were up for midnight, otherwise we would have been asleep

Mo, although you had to suffer, it must be nice to not have gained hardly any weight! I hope that I don't have any problems loosing it! How much did you ladies gain with your pregnancies? How long did it take to lose it, and did you lose all, some or none of it? Well I gained more weight than I think anyone else on here did, I gained 55 lbs!!!!! So far I have lost 30 lbs and Ella is almost 5 months old. I have 20 lbs to go but I really don't think I will lose it till I am done breast feeding. Breast feeding makes me starving!! I have to eat a lot more than normal to keep up my energy, if I don't eat I get the shakes and get really really grumpy. So, I think that 20 lbs will stay put till I can get past this needing to eat all the time.

vote for my bridesmaid dress
JulieG replied to SunBride's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I say go for the 3rd one, the one that is like number 1 only without the sash and cheaper. I think in your size it will look great on you and it will be different, so you are all different. -
Happy New Year, what is your drink of choice?

Dr. Jack Newman, member of the LLLI Health Advisory Council, says this in his handout "More Breastfeeding Myths": Reasonable alcohol intake should not be discouraged at all. As is the case with most drugs, very little alcohol comes out in the milk. The mother can take some alcohol and continue breastfeeding as she normally does. Prohibiting alcohol is another way we make life unnecessarily restrictive for nursing mothers. Thomas W. Hale, R.Ph. Ph.D., member of the LLLI Health Advisory Council, says this in his book Medications and Mothers' Milk (11th ed.): Adult metabolism of alcohol is approximately 1 oz in 3 hours, so that mothers who ingest alcohol in moderate amounts can generally return to breastfeeding as soon as they feel neurologically normal. I am looking for more now. ETA: and this http://www.kellymom.com/health/lifestyle/alcohol.html In otherwords 1 to 2 drinks is fine, but have them right after you feed and don't feed again for 2 to 3 hours. So if you have a drink or 2 when he goes down and night and he sleeps for 3 or more hours, there is no harm at all. I have only have a beer a few times, but I always do it when she is down for the night, this way I know I have till at least 4 AM before I need to feed her again. -

When I read the title I was going to say if I could choose anything it would be Sangria, lol. But, since I can only have a drink or 2 max, and Curt does not drink, I will sadly not be having Sangria. I think I will bust out the Champagne Curt got me when Ella was born. Or I will have a Corona or 2.
