I was going to say the same thing. My sister was my MOH, but one of my BM's was a witness because relatives can not be witnesses. So, just ask someone else to sign your wedding certificate for you.

Of course its not NECESSARY, its a matter of whether you want to do it or not as its the thought that counts. We decided not to exchange gifts, we were paying for so much already and we were just so happy to be away with all our friends and family and getting married that we thought everything was perfect as is. Why add in the stress of trying to come up with the perfect gift and spend even more money. That said, I also told my husband not to buy me a gift when I gave birth to my daughter and I found out I was the odd person out, all my friends demanded their husbands buy them "push gifts", so I think maybe gift getting is just not as important to me as it is to some.

I am late on this thread, but I totally agree that number 1 looks best on you. I am glad you ordered it, it looks stunning.

How did I miss this thread. You look so beautiful. I am so so so excited for you. I can't wait to see pictures and hear all about the day. We have been on this forum together for so long and now your wedding is so close. I am so excited for you I could burst.

I voted more spiritual than religious. I believe in some things and totally disagree with others. I could never be a church goer because I believe woman should be able to have abortions, I believe in gay marriage and their right to adopt, etc... so that pretty much leaves me unable to attend church. I know that United Church is much more open and accepting of these things, my MIL goes to United Church every Sunday and for all holiday's, etc.. and they seem much "cooler" there than at most churches, in fact her minister drafted our sand ceremony for us and MIL added some stuff to it, so I thought that was pretty cool. But I will not be a person who attends church on a regular basis and neither will Ella or any of my children, unless it is something they choose to do on their own, then I will totally be accepting of that choice and bring them to the church of their choice.

It would make sense to me that the only name you can sign is your legal name, or else its not you who is legally married. Does that make sense. After the wedding, when you come home and change your name, you tell them what you want it to be and change it to that on your license, etc..., but you can't sign a name that is not your name on your marriage license. I.E. if you are now Lisa Jones but when you get married you will be Lisa Jones-Smith, you sign Lisa Jones, because that is your legal name on the day you sign your certificate and when you change it, you become Lisa Jones-Smith.

I really hope she is okay. I have been sitting here trying to come up with a reason why she would just go somewhere and not tell anyone, but nothing valid is coming to mind. Keep us posted.

OMG!!! I never thought about the fact that Mac and Billy can be together now. Wow, I loved Mac and was sooo sad when her and Billy could not be together, although Billy is a much different person now. Huh, I wonder how this will play out. So Lilly does decide to marry Cain then, I wonder if that means he either gives up the fight for full custody or just does not win. Thanks for the updates. BTW, I sooo called it, Jill not being Katherine's daughter.

I totally agree with what the other girls said and its probably cold feet. I would say starting about 2 months before our wedding my DH and I argued A LOT and I realised it was all my doing because I had cold feet. As soon as I realised it I apologized and he understood my stress and worries and we talked it out. Everything was soo much better after that and we could not be happier as a couple and as parents. I really think you need to talk to him and see what is going on in his head. I would hate for you to lose your relationship and your "little family" because of a misunderstanding and some cold feet, which are totally normal. Keep us posted, I am wishing all the best for you and your daughter, my thoughts are with you.

I totally see your point when it comes to Cain, I guess it just makes me mad for some reason, not sure why, I think he is just being a jerk and trying to get full custody and that is wrong, you don't take a child away from their mother unless the mother is causing them harm. Victor should not be able to have kids, give it up already. Kevin is driving me nuts as well, I hate that story line. I do think Clint died, he is in the closet right now. lol And what is Kevin going to try to kill Katherine, its so stupid. Why is Katherine's DNA not coming up? Is it because Jill is not really her daughter? What do you think they are going to do with that whole thing. And Sharon is back with Jack because Phyllis knows about her and Billy? WTF I think I am just super annoyed at the whole thing. But yes, I still watch it every day. lol

Thanks so much ladies. So far its a good day. I jumped on the wagon and got new hair today, and had lunch with my sister and nieces and we are going out for dinner soon, so far its been great. The party is this Saturday though, that will be the real fun day
