  1. Hey all, I am pretty new to this site, so I don't know what WW info you have been given before, but I was on ww last year and lost 20 lbs, I am trying to practice it, but go it alone this year. So, here are some site that might help you all out: Tools for weight and fitness watchers at Journal to Success you sign up and it has an online journal and workout journal for you, I love it. Its free of course. Dotti's Weight Loss Zone this is the best site. It has lots of food and their points, and lots and lots of restaurants and the point values for the food This is one of my favs Sign In You have to be a member, and it takes a while to be accepted, do not get discouraged, you are on the list, it just takes some time. But, its a forum and has so much info that you can use and not be a memeber, its great. This is an online point calculator Weight Loss Calculator - Go Milpitas! That is all I have on my work PC, might have more at home to share with you. I hope this helps.
  2. Tammy, if you run there, that counts as exercise no? I say so. I would run as well, it would be sad to lose one. I know that on my warranty though, any lost diamonds are covered for 5 years, so it might not be that bad if you did lose one. I worked out today. I did a 50 Min "Pump" class at the gym. It was killer, I am proud of myself for finishing it.
  3. I went to Punta Cana last year for a wedding I was in, at Sunscape the Beach, if anyone has any questions on that place I might be able to help. Anyway, when we walked on the plan with the dress bags, the flight attendants just took then and hung them up for us, we did not have to ask. So, I would not stress about it, there will be someone there to hang up your dress, they are used to this now and are eager to help out the bride and the wedding party. I did leave from Toronto, but I can't imagine its that different on other airlines. The BM dresses we had did not need to be steamed, they were a chiffon material and did not wrinkle. The bride had her dress steamed for free. It worked out well for everyone involved. But, you will have to steam it for sure, no matter what.
  4. Thank you so much Natasha. That is a big help. I am going to look for the recap section to see what others said as well. I am hopefully getting married in Costa Rica though, so the places do not help me, but I am sure they help lots of others. If anyone out there is getting married in or got married in Costa Rica, drop me a line, I need lots of info
  5. I am new to this thread, but I need to tone up and lose some weight for the wedding, so I am happy about this one. I went to the gym today and did 40 mins on the Elliptical machine at the gym. No weights cause I am doing a weight class tomorrow. Yay!!! I want to eat better and get in 4 times a week at the gym. I am going to try damn hard, but I have almost 11 months till the wedding, so I will need some motivation to keep it going.
  6. I have a question. This is something I have been a little stressed about. Did you girls get your hair/make up done at the salon at the resort? Or go offsite? Or what? I want to look my best on this day, of course, so I am stressed about getting hair and make up done in another country. This is one of the main things I stress about when it comes to not having my wedding at home. I am taking a course in personal make up, to help me out a little, but I am afraid I will be too nervous to do it myself. I also have 2 bridesmaids who are hair dressers, but I am worried they will be to stressed to help me as well. lol So, please tell me what you guys did and how it worked out for you.
  7. Thank you so much for that info. I have not gone looking for a dress yet and I am glad I read this first. You will be helping out a lot of people due to this post and I know they will all, as do I, appreciate it.

Welcome Angela. Good luck with the planning.
  9. That is kinda what I thought, but I could not work out the wording. Thanks. One day I will not be a newbie and I can tell someone else that I will probably make those for sure. Do you give them before? Or when you get there? Its just a lot to carry. Trust me, I always pack way to much and I don't want to pack even more than that Do you get to bring extra luggage if you are the bride? lol if not, they need to start doing that.
  10. Thanks for the advice. I wanted to do a donation as well, I might go that route, just easier. Also, I get the idea of what OOT is, but what does it stand for, its driving me nuts that I can't figure it out
  11. We have not decided yet. Costa Rica is our number 1 choice, but we want to make sure is affordale enough, we are aiming for beautiful but for under $1200 for our guests. There are places there that are that cheap, but we want to make sure they are really nice. Panama is very nice and very affordable, so it will be there for sure, if we can't find what we want in Costa Rica.
  12. I live in Toronto as well. My travel agent is awesome. Her name is Penelope and she is at flight centre. [email protected] is her email address. Drop her a line and tell her I sent you, Julie Roberts. She can get you a group rate. She will call around for you and tell you the prices. Cabo is expensive though, you are looking at at least $1500 a person for sure. That is why I am not getting married anywhere in Mexico. I don't want my guests to spend that much money, its crazy to me. I did it for a wedding in DR and I don't want my guests to do it. Email penelope and ask her what she thinks and what she can find for you. She is great to work with. Hope that helps. Julie
  13. How are you guys planning on getting this stuff to the resort? I thought of doing favours (I am CAN, we spell it with a U) but I don't know how to get them there. I will have enough in my suit case already. How are you guys doing it?
  14. I love the baby doll dress. I also think the mesh one is really nice too. I just think the satin is too much for a beach wedding, too shiny. That is me though, I could be out numbered on that one. But, I do not think I will have my maids in a satiny kinda dress, its just a little too formal and hevy. Just my input I can't wait to see which one you pick.

    Hey All

Jonathan, Have you been to Costa Rica for a wedding before? If you have, I would love to see some pics. Thanks
  16. Those are asolutely beautiful pictures. You looked amazing and everything looked perfect. Congratulations!!!! BTW, I love the suit that your husband was wearing, I can totally picture my FH in something like that. Was he too hot in it? Was it a linen suit? Just curious. Thanks, Julie
  17. I can see why it would be good to see each other and do pictures before, but I also do not want him to see me till I am walking down the aisle. Its a great moment, to see him standing there and for him to see you for the first time. So, I would not get together before. That is just me though.
