We have a big guest list for a DW!!
JulieG replied to salsa_bride's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
Glenda, people are going to complain and talk about it, but I have decided I DONT CARE, its my wedding and if you like me enough and want to be there enough, it will not matter what the cost is. And, if you don't, then I don't want you there. That is my opinion, but someone said on here before, in another thread, tell your mom not to tell you the bad things people are saying, you don't need the stress. If they want to be there, they will be. And, I think that is good advice. -
Pizza, Chinese, you are killing me here. I had boiled egg and ww toast for breakfast, salad for lunch, and a latte. That is all. Your food sounds much much better. But, I need to lose 20lbs, so I have a long way to go. lol Don't worry, I cheat on the weekends.
-
Ann, thanks for that. There we go again with the food talk people. lol Now I want Wendy's. lol Why can't you talk about salad or rice cakes or something. LMAO
-
That is awesome Sherri. I just got back from the gym, I did 40 Mins Carido and 20 Mins weights. I love how I feel after the gym. I wish I could feel this way before I went there, it would totally make it easier to get there. Then again, I probally would not go if I already felt so good. lol

What do you want to know from us Married Gals?
JulieG replied to NATASHA's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Wow, that place sounds awesome, I will look into it for sure. Would you mind telling me if it was a lot to stay there? I am not sure yet what kind of budget we will have for the honeymoon, I have to book a location first -
I am also a Centric-Venturer. I love the part when it says go to an AI in Costa Rica, that is what I am doing for my wedding. lol So, that was pretty accurate. lol I don't play tennis or basketball though, so that part was way off. Thanks for that, it was fun.

Does anyone know what these look like in real life? Save The Date Cards (Not Magnetic) - Paradise Found I love them, but the description says they are 3.5 x 4 so, that means they would not be rectangular, I think they would look odd almost square no? Let me know, cause I really like them and they are a good price as well.

I told my sister, also my MOH that I do not want a shower. Bachelorette, heck yes, it will be a lot of fun, but no shower. I am not having an AHR, so I don't think its right to ask people to pay to come to the wedding and also get us gifts. So, no shower for us. That is just a person opinion though.

Okay Jonathan, that is not nice. This is the healthy food and exercising thread. Leave that yummy sounding ice cream for another thread. How bad does everyone want what Jonathan is eating now. LMAO. No, I will not do it. Salad it is.

You will not lose your momentum, we will not let you You can really hurt yourself by not letting your muscles relax. Cardio you can do everyday though, so get that in if you want, but you do need to take a day off, everyone should have at least one rest day a week.
-
Sarah, maybe its time to take a day off. They say you build more muscle by taking days off in between. Just go for a nice walk or something, don't do anything to hardcore, you don't want to hurt youself. Be nice to your body and do something low impact.

TAMMY, GET YOUR BUTT ON THAT MACHINE!!! Turn on some good music, something that makes you want to dance, and let that put you in the mood. BACK AWAY FROM YOUR COMPUTER!!!

Wow Natalie, good for you. That is a lot of working out. You must be so proud of yourself. I tried to find a smiley giving a pat on the back, but I am new, so I just see what is to the right of this box You are a good motivator.

I think we will have about 30 to 40 people. Is that a lot of people? I would think that is an average number and will not be hard to deal with. I guess I just have to pick a place and see what they say from there. I have not picked a place cause we are waiting for hotels to call my travel agent back. Costa Rica does not have group rates for November posted yet, so, she had to call them all. Does that sound right Tammy? I trust her, but I wanted to make sure that is a normal thing. Price is the most important thing to us, well one of them, we don't mind what we have to pay, we just do not want our guests to have to pay a lot to come to our wedding. So, I can't pick a place till I know prices.

I never thought I would like it so much, but it really is good. And, you don't feel all tired and gross after eating it, like white pasta. So, its my new thing and I am sticking to it for sure. A lot of restaurants give you the option as well, you have to pay $1 more sometimes, but it is totally worth it.
-
None of us want to "give up the good stuff" and you shouldn't, you should just eat less of it. I think if you are eating healthy most of the time, then you should be able to eat "bad" things without worrying about it. Just work out a little harder that day, and eat a little less of it than you want to, and you will be fine. For real, one meal does not make you gain weight, even though we think it does, its a proven fact that it does not. Its constantly eating bad things that makes us gain weight. Also, something I just started doing is eating only brown rice, whole wheat pasta and whole wheat bread, eating less of the white stuff, and so far its helping. You feel full faster, and it makes you more regular so to speak. So, give that a try. I don't find it taste's that much different, but it makes a big difference in your body.

Hey girls, my trainer, when I had one, told me that you can do exercises to target your lower abs, but that just makes them stronger, it does not get rid of the fat on top of them. You need to eat right and do cardio to get rid of that, its the only thing that will work. Sure you want muscles for when the "pouch" is gone, but it will not help you get rid of it. I have also read this a few times in my Shape magazine that I subscribe to. If you have a Roman Chair at your gym It looks like a big chair with no seats, just arms sticking out, you get on that and do full leg lifts (straight out) and that targets your entire abs. Also do some just raising your knees. Does that make sense?

Thanks for the info. I guess I will have to pick a resort first, and then see what they offer. I just assumed you would get one with the package and just go with them. That is what my friend did who got married in Punta Cana. But, I guess they are all different. I will have to find out if the person at the resort I pick is any good and then go from ther. Thank God we have this forum to help us all out. This is the best site I have ever been on, I love the support and the amazing people. Thanks Tammy.

I was not positive where I should put this thread, but I have a question for all of you. I see that some people are hiring wedding coordinators. Why is this? Does the hotel you are using not have a planner/coordinator for you to use? Or did you not like that person so you are using another? I am looking to get married at an AI resort and when you book a package, the planner is included. So, what I want to know is, did you people find they were not good and hired someone else, or did you have to hire someone? I am just curious to know if I should trust the planner the resort provides, or if I should look for another, there are many of them, to help me. I am just going to do a wedding on the beach through the resort and not a special beach somewhere else. What do you all think?

I love going at lunch time. That way you are not having to get up early, which I hate, or force yourself to go after work, by then I just want to go home. So, lunch works perfect for me. I wish I had some machines at home, I would be so hot. lol If I could watch tv at the same time, it would be the best.

Legally married...Before or after?
JulieG replied to Nrvsbride's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
That makes sense to me. I suppose if I was getting married in Mexico I would do the same. Thanks for the info, I hate to be out of the loop on things. lol -
Legally married...Before or after?
JulieG replied to Nrvsbride's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Huh, I never thought about that. I have 3 friends who got married away, all legal ceremonies, and they never had any problems at all, so I just never thought about it. It does give me something to think about though. I do want to be legally married after the ceremony. Then again, its really easy to just run to city hall and get married if it does not work out for us, so I will worry about that if it should happen. Thanks guys. -
Legally married...Before or after?
JulieG replied to Nrvsbride's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
This might be a silly question, but why are you all not getting legally married on your DW? I never even thought about doing it here before or anything like that, I thought doing it once and making it legal just seemed better. So, I am confused now, why are you not doing it legally where you are going? Help
