Well, we are not moving till March, our closing date is March 9, so we will move in on March 10. I need to start packing soon though, I like to get things done well in advance so I am not panicking a week before moving day. We did have our home inspection on Friday though and it went great, so the deal is accepted and we are buying it for sure. I am so excited. I have a few pics of the inside only, I will post them when I get a chance.

I did not work out all weekend, Friday included. I did however shovel my sister's driveway today and go for a 20 min walk, that is something right? lol Gym tomorrow for sure.

I will let you all know as soon as its decided, trust me, I will want to tell the world.

The only reason we chose Occidental was because it was cheaper than Paradisus otherwise we would have gladly gotten married at PRDO. Feel free to ask me any questions and I'll try to answer them. Have you been to PT yet? I was thinking about that place as well, but I could not find many reviews on it, so I was a little scared (wedding reviews that is). Tell me about it. What are you getting Married?

Tiffany Themed Wedding
JulieG replied to Nrvsbride's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I did see the wedding you are talking about, and I am actually learning in my cake decorating class (i just started though) how to make the small tiffany box cakes. I think its a nice idea. The colour is beautiful, so why not. How many people are coming to the wedding? I was thinking if not too many people are coming, you can get the cheapest favour Tiffany's sells, that way they come in the boxes, just an idea, if there are not many people coming. -

I feel like I'm constantly dieting and I know the times when I exercise and don't track what I'm eating I don't really tend to lose anything. I guess its because even when we feel like we're eating good if we don't write it down we can still overeat without realizing it. The proof of this for me is that I get salads for lunch a lot and I try to go with the ones with grilled chicken and no cheese, well I looked up the points on one of my salads, which was literally chicken lettuce and dressing, it was 15 points!!! If you want to try, we have a ww thread and we keep each other in line, maybe it will help, you could start when you get back on monday. I did do WW last year and lost 20 lbs. I gained 10 of those back when my BIL passed away, so, I have 20 lbs to lose by Oct. I had hoped to not do ww again, but, I think you are right, I should start counting my points at least. I hear there is a new plan, do you have the information about it? I heard you get more points or something.

This from the girl who took friday, saturday, sunday, and monday off last week, so bad!!! I'm heading to the treadmill once I catch up on posts and emails See, I know that a few days off is okay, but I am starting to get a little stressed. Since Jan 1 I started back at the gym, at least 3 days a week, and I started eating better, not really a diet (cause I suck at those and I need to save something for the last 2 months before the wedding when I need to lose that last few pounds) but my scale is not moving at all. I feel better and my clothes is not tight, a little loser (nothing drastic) but I am feeling really crappy about it. I know it takes time, but come on, its been 24 days of going back to the gym and eating better. How much longer till I should try something new? Do we have any personal trainers or dieticians on this site? lol That is what we need, someone find us one of them who wants to spend their spare time talking to all of us brides. lol

I went to the gym today and did 40 minutes on the elliptical machine. No weights because I did my whole body yesterday. Sadly, I will not be able to work out for the rest of the week though, 3 days is better than nothing right? I am leaving early to head up to Barrie tomorrow for my sister's birthday and I will be there for the rest of the weekend. No working out happening. I will try for a walk on Saturday, but that is the best I will do. TammyM, what happened to you, have not heard from you in a while. How is working out going for you?

I went to my Gym class today, Pump Class. Its killer. I feel really great and really strong now, funny how that happens. It won't last long though, soon I will feel weak and sore. TammyM, did you work out?

Trust me, it sucks so much thinking about doing it, but if you don't think and just do it, you feel amazing when you are done.

I might just feel that way because that is what I am doing, lol, but I still think it was the best one to make. -

Sorry it took me so long to reply, that whole working thing really sucks. You can PM me or email me, so we don't take up this whole thread. For now I will say that I did like the resort, lots of nice places to eat as Edyta said, but I do have a lot of reccomendations when it comes to the wedding. I don't know if they have a private part of the beach to get married on, if not, I do not reccomend it. My friends wedding was watched by lots, tons of people in swimsuits, it was right in the open. Also, she did no advance planning really. I do not reccomend that. Get all the info you can to them in advance. Have the reception on the Patio at the Mexican rest, it was by far the niecest set up for a wedding. Not inside though, has to be the patio. There was another restaurant that was beautiful, I can not think of the name right now, help me out people. It was the adults only one. If you have no kids, it was beautiful and the food was great. PM me, we can talk more.

I can never work out in the morning. I can't make myself get up early to go to the gym, I looooove to sleep. So, I have to go at lunch time. I will be there tomorrow as well.

All of their rates are for all-inclusive, airfare, and transfers to/from airport. Punta Cana is now rated as having some of the best beaches in the world. That alone is one of our reasons for choosing it . It is a very "up-and-coming" resort area so I am sure in the next couple years it will be booming. Monika, I think when you said Negril you were thinking of Jamaica. The main cities in the Dominican Republic are Punta Cana, Puerto Plata, La Romana, and Cabarete. Amy, as I was in a wedding at STB in April last year, those are the pics I posted, I can help you out if you have any questions. Let me know.
