The bad part was the rest of us girls picked out a cheaper dress, but, her sister wanted this one, so we had to go with it, she got the final say. -

Hey all, while you are out there looking on the net for information if you happen to see Monogram Cake Toppers that are a good price (and deliver to Canada), can you send me the site, or post it here. I want to get one, but I don't want to pay $50 for it, that is a lot in my opinion, I would rather not have one. Thanks in advance guys.

It was so sparkly, I didn't think I'd really like it, but it looked so pretty on. David's Bridal - Bridal Gowns CT2406 A-line with all over beaded corded lace I like its beautiful. I love the ribbon. Can you order one anyone, in your colour and decide late? I think it might not look as nice without it, but I did not see it in person, you would know better than I would. I just like the ribbon look. You could always get a really pale colour so it does not stand out as much. -
I have a "tramp stamp" I got it about 10 years ago, and its a celtic symbol to ward off evil spirits. I love love it. It did hurt a lot though. Its very very detailed and its 95% outline, that is the part that hurts the most. Its about the size of a tennis ball. It took almost 2 hours to do. IT HURT.

My colors are shades of pink from burgundy to light pink, so I think they'll work out okay. My only concern is that it will be June and these might look too dark. What do you think? I personally do not think the colour is too dark at all. This dress looks a lot like my BM dress when I was in a wedding last April in Punta Cana. Ours were a blue colour though and the underneath layer was shorter. Ours cost $300 though, so $59 is an awesome deal. -
Anyone buy the new Knot wedding mag?

Other than the place I am very overwhelmed with everything else that is left to do - so any advice would be awesome. Welcome Sabrina. I am also from Toronto and there are a few of us. I wouldn't recommend going any lower than a 3.5* resort though. OGPT has a whole kids section and we chose this resort instead of an adult one in another part of the country in case our niece and nephew or a few of my younger cousins decided to come. Good luck making your choice, it's not easy at all. The one we are thinking of, Playa Pesquero, is a 4.5 star, I woul not want to go lower than a 4. Not for my wedding.

The Cuban restaurant was my favorite for both the food and ambiance. The restuarant is outside in a little court yard. I don't remember the seafood restaurant but I remember that ambiance was nice as well. -lots of pools. we mostly hung out by the one with the waterfall. at the top of the waterfall the water is a bit deeper. I'm 5'1 (shorty!) and not really a swimmer. I had to tippy toe to get to the swimm up bar. Unfortunatly, there was a problem with the pool heaters the week we were there but the water was still warm and cooling at the same time. -there were lots of families there so I'm sure your guests with kids will have lots to do. -lots of stairs. bring comfortable shoes. -the beach was beautiful but rocky. In the morning me and my FI would walk along the beach to pick up some shells...aww the memories! -after dinner me and FI would hang out at the 24hr bar. they have really good cappaccinos! it was a good way to start a night of partying! -if you don't want to go into town usually once a week or more some vendors will set up shop on the resort for you or your guests to do their shopping. Ok, sorry so long. I guess I remember more than I thought. If you want to know more just let me know. I am more than happy to help. Aimee Thanks Aimee. I hate the idea of a rocky beach though, because we want to get married on the beach, so, maybe I should not be looking at this resort. Did you see any weddings when you were there?

We also stopped by there when we were in Cuba the last time and the resort looked amazing. We will likely be getting the free wedding as it looks like we'll have 20 people going with us. We do know all about PRDO though if you have any questions about it, we stayed there for a week for a wedding. PDRO is too pricey I think. We want something cheaper for our guests. We also need a place that we can have kids and with stuff for kids to do. I want to hear all about your friend's wedding, I want to see pics too, if possible. When in Feb is she getting married?

Any help or personal experiences on planning a destination wedding for about 50 people on a budget of $1300 - $1400 incl. taxes per person would be helpful (there will be children attending since I want my daughter there!) We are not set on the DR, as we love Mexico as well. Thanks! Shawna Hey Shawna, Have you thought about Cuba. I much much much prefer Cuba to DR. I have been to both twice. And, its cheaper than DR, just a thought.
