We had a house warming party/birthday party last night. It was fun. We had a lot of work to do to get the house ready, but we did it.

I looked online to see if I could find a picture, its from David's bridal, but I was told it was brand new, only a week old, so its not on their site yet. I had to take real photo's, as in non-digital, so its going to take a little longer. Maybe tomorrow, when my FI leaves for work, I can try to take pics of myself in it on my digital camera. I will let you know. No Jess, its not that dress, crazy, cause I was in looooove with that dress, but I loved this one, my mom and sister liked it more than that one, and it was around $200 cheaper and I got to take it right home, no waiting months for it to come. So, I bought it.

Awe, you guys are all sooo great. Thank you for making my day even more special. Sorry if that sounds cheesy, but that is how I feel about it. lol BTW, I bought my dress on Thursday. lol I forgot my camera, so I bought a little disposable camera and I will need to get it developed. Hopefully I can do that sometime this weekend and post pics early next week.

I am so excited for her, I think a girl is much better for her.

So far my sister is ecstatic and calls a lot and my 17 month old niece is so so happy, she has even learned how to say my name cause she is so excited that I am here, its really cute. I am happy, its just rough to move from a city you love to one you don't.

I will show you lots of pictures, I promise. I just found the perfect photographer, at least I hope so, so that is a great feeling. I am moving tomorrow though, so really that is all I should be thinking about right now, lol, but I am addicted to this site.

Flowers in floating water
JulieG replied to Nrvsbride's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Guys, I found this on the wedding bells website. Not sure if your resort can do it, but its a nice idea and incorporates flowers, water and candles. -
I am going to get my hair and makeup done. Since I can't do a trial till I get down there, I also took a course on how to do my own makeup, just in case. And, both my BM's are hair dressers, lol, so I will get one of them to do my hair if the hair stylist there is not so great. I will get her to do it first though, cause I want my BM's to be able to relax that day and, its included in my wedding package.

I love them. Where they $$$? Awesome job!!

Hey all, I went to the gym today and did 65 mins of cardio, then I did 30 mins of weights and then went for a 40 Min Walk. lol So, I am doing okay today, lol I will be moving tomorrow, so I should get in a little bit of exercise doing that. lol Next week will be the real challenge because I now officially no longer belong to a gym. I hope I can find one in my new city right away.

But I think Ann & Sarah have the one that came out before that, sorry I can't remember the name, but I think she's wearing a red bathing leotard or something on the cover. I also just ordered turbo jam, I hope I like it! I ordered it off of ebay and got the whole set, so it was less expensive than on the website. Does anyone else have this one? I also want to get the winsor pilates set, but I think I'll start with this stuff first for now, hahaha! Now I'm just waiting for the mailman! Oh, & Jules, btw, I know you're wondering where I've been on this thread, hahaha, I have been sick all week, I think I'm almost better, but I've had no energy to work out, I'm hoping by this weekend I'll be able to start again. I have actually not been on her much this week, not been on the forum as much this week, I have been so busy, we move this Saturday, craziness. But, I have been getting to the gym, I went on Tuesday and did a pump class then I walked for 2 hours. Yesterday I did 65 mins of cardio and lower body weights. Today I had a walk through of my house, in another city, so just got back not long ago. Tomorrow I will make it to the gym and Saturday, I will be working my ass off moving, so I think that is an okay week. Jilly, I did not get back to the gym for almost 2 weeks after my stomach flu, so I know what its like. You just have to slowly come back, it won't take too long.

Bridesmaids dresses
JulieG replied to TammyWright's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Alright, a girl I met who is getting married at the same resort as me bought her bridesmaid dresses from Amazon, here is the exact link. I think after taxes and customs and all that (which you US girls don't have to worry about), they cost her less than $75 each. And, she loves them and her BM's love them and they fit well and the quality is good. Amazon.com: CLASSIC A LINE DRESS for Bridesmaid Formal Prom Wedding, for Juniors and Juniors Plus Size: Apparel Hope this helps someone. -

Mr. and Mrs. John Smith invite you to joining them in the marriage of their daughter (example) I was looking at my parents invites and realized that I did not do that type of wording. I just put my name and my FI name. I hope that is okay. My wedding is not that formal. So I am trying to stick with casual writing. When I took my wedding planner course, we were told that you only put your parents name on the invite if they are paying for the wedding. If they are not, you just put your own on.

I have heard lots of good things about Net Bride, I will probably use them. Whereas, I have heard nothing about Bridalgown.net aside from being told by Net Bride that they were not a reputable company. I hope that makes sense. -
I think they are beautiful. I would not add more things to it, you don't want it to be too busy. I think on white, it will look amazing. Good job.

Or should that be a separate card? And then its not really a 5 days 4 nights kind of event, Since people are going all the way to greece, some are doing 2 weeks, some 7 days. its not something i was to put on the invite, But i want to indicate that there are other events the days leading up, again is that on a 3rd card? Thanks for the input in advance Okay, I love these. Can you please tell me who made them for you. Where they $$$$?

So that K (even if she didn't accept it) would have known that M wanted to help out. I agree with Tammy here. I would be so mad if they bailed on me so soon before the wedding. I am sure she did not just decide to bring someone, she has known for a while and could have given K more time to save the extra money, or yes, offer to pay the difference up front. Also, did K call M and ask about this? If so, that is another bad thing against M in my opinion, M should have called her as soon as she decided to bring someone, no two ways about it.

I do not think I have used that specific tea. I have used a few diet teas though, from China town and a health food store. They do not taste good, and I found that I was running for the toilet for a few hours after and still going really well for the rest of the day (I drank the tea at night before bed). I found it really upset my stomach and the only weight I lost was because I went to the washroom so much. My sister tried it and same for her. We both threw them out. I say try it though, if you really want to, you will know for yourself if you like it or not.

Well, I sent the quote for mine to Net Bride and they told me that this company was not a reputable one, so they would only match it, not beat it. But, for the price match, I would totally use Net Bride. Maybe I should check with RK. For some reason though, I think RK told me that they do not carry my dress anymore. I will check my emails. -
They are for after the ceremony, when the couple are walking away as husband and wife.

I think it also just adds a new spin on an old idea.

My boobs always shrink. I hate that, not sure why it can't go from my stomach instead, but yes, it does happen to almost everyone. It means you are losing weight though, and that is awesome, congrats.

Vote for your destination!
JulieG replied to TammyWright's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
We chose Cuba cause its a beautiful country with lots to do. My first choice, as many of you know was Costa Rica. If it were not for the flight issues, that is where we would be going. Then Panama, cause I hear its amazing, but again, flight issues. So, choice number 3 was Cuba. I love it there, been to Varaderro 2 times in the past, never Holguin, where we are getting married, but I hear its the most beautiful place in all of Cuba. I can't wait.
