  1. Congratulations you guys! Karen... make sure you change your siggy! :-)
  2. Thanks so much Jessalyn for the great review. I had so much fun with you and all your guests that it didn't seem like I was there for work. You did such a great job with all the decorations, OOT bags and everything else. It was a gorgeous wedding and I was happy to be part of it. I'm so happy that you are pleased with the photos and I look forward to sharing the rest of them with you soon. thanks again.

  5. OMG Leigh!!! you're so cruel! just wait until your next wedding with a bride from BDW! I JUST literally walked in my front door and I'm downloading the first card to my home computer as I type. I left yesterday but I was delayed out of Cabo by more than an hour and missed my connecting flight in Houston, so I had to stay the night in Houston. What a trip back home. I couldn't believe the last flight out of Houston to Detroit was at 7pm. That's CRAZY! Both cities are major airline hubs...why would the last flight to a major city be at 7pm Plus.... the airline lied to us and told us we were delayed because of bad weather in Houston, but when we got to Houston, the people that lived there said it hadn't rained or anything all day. I was so mad. The airline should have paid for my hotel. Oh well, I'm home now and I'm going to start working on these pics ASAP. So... I will have some up by this weekend as promised. Patience ladies.... patience!
  6. It was such a beautiful wedding!! Jessalyn was gorgeous! Everything went very well and we got some great shots which I'm looking forward to posting when I get home. We're going to do a Trash the Dress session this evening so I'm really looking forward to that. Everyone has been so friendly and it feels like I've been part of the family. Thanks Jessalyn and Tony!!!
  7. Hey everyone! I'm in my room at the Sheraton right now and I'm leaving in about 30 mins to start taking photos of Jessalyn getting ready. It's a gorgeous sunny day. A little warm, but it's beautiful!!
  8. yay! I'm so excited too! See you in a couple of days!
  9. Welcome Heesyun! I love your work. It was great with talk with you the other day too. I'm sure you'll have no problem getting a few DW's as well as building your business in Oregon. You do great work.
  10. Hey Matt! Welcome. glad to see you made it.

Oh well... this will help me focus on streamlining my workflow so it's faster. Don't worry... I'll get them up ASAP. I get back LATE Tuesday night and then we have a 2 hour drive back so we might stay the night. Not sure yet. I'll try to have at least some up by that weekend. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get the slideshow up by then, but I'll try. Can't make any promises though. I can promise I'll have at least some up by that weekend. So... keep your eyes peeled everyone! :-)

When a couple orders the digital negatives from me, they can make prints, order books with them, whatever. They just can't sell them to anyone who might want them for an advertisement, or submit them for publishing without consent and credit. You might check with your photographer who took your engagement photos to see if they offer any type of guest book. They are pretty easy to do and can be produced for not to much money so it probably wouldn't be to expensive. Otherwise, you should be able to use your photos and use a company like sharedink.com or shutterfly.com
  13. You've done such a great job Jess! I can't wait! I'll be trying to get your pics up as fast as possible, but, I don't want to have them up to fast! ;-) I want you to be the first to see them so, unless you want to be checking your email on your honeymoon...*which I highly don't recommend)... it might be best to wait until you get back :-) I can't wait though! We'll see you Wed.!

  15. I think Studio Fix is probably fine if you use it sparingly. Any powder's that studio's use isn't really for make-up purposes, it's only to dull any shine from the face and to get rid of any oils, so that the face is smooth instead of having shiny hot spots from the flash. If used correctly, it should affect the color of your face. It's mainly just to reduce any glare.
  16. FYI, those of you who are using a Mac can also use iPhoto to design and make books. Apple prints the books via Shutterfly I think so they are exactly the same. IPhoto makes it pretty easy though.
  17. There is a forum for photographers that Leigh Miller and I are a part of. She or I could post a message asking for photographers in that area to respond and who have your date open. PM me with your details and I'll post a message for you and I can email you list of photographers that reply.
  18. Ok first, I'm VERY VERY sorry for those of you who took offense to my comment. I meant no offense at all. This is what I hate about the internet. None of you have actually met me and don't know my personality or how I say things at all. I'm really upset that I have offended you when that wasn't my intention at all. My comment wasn't to knock the quality of SI books at all. I was mearly try to point Jessalyn that she didn't have to do any of that if she didn't want to because she didn't sound like she knew she was getting a book. I'm sorry if anyone took offense. That's all I meant by my comment. nothing more. Please forgive me for offending you. I think you just mis-interpreted what I meant and how I meant it to sound. Tammy - I have plenty of tact, and I'm very hurt that you would even say such a thing. You don't know me and for someone to say I have no tact is very hurtful. I'm sorry if you took my comment the wrong way, and maybe I could have worded it a little better but give me a break. As I said, this is the internet and things are easily misinterpreted when you don't have voice inflection and body language. I think it's great that you all are so interested in making your own albums and taking pride in your work. I have many friends that do the same thing. Again, my comment was NOT to knock the quality of SI books. I think they are great for the money and I understand not everyone is going to be able to afford the albums that photographers make. I apologize profusely. I would actually love to see some of the albums that you all create.
  19. Jessalyn... you know you're going to be getting a **edited** book from me right? edit: sorry for my bad choice of words
  20. Ok ladies, here's a link to some of my more risque work. I haven't done BD work for brides in particular but I have done some for girls who are doing modeling and photos for their boyfriends. JTP - BD photos
