I a little jealous of everone's picts I agree they even had no idea what the Grand Palladium was I just didnt feel comfortable. And yes, tammy is completely responsive and helpful...

Good to know, I would not have it any other way then on the beach...going all the way to Mexico!! But I am looking into the grand palladium and Im not even sure they offer the reception on the beach or what the cost would be to do so Anyone have any info on that. Thanks

Thats what Im worried about, do you know if the Grand palladium allows Dj's? If so any recommendations?

Your event is intimate and a guitar player or trio would fit nicely with the theme. Nicole - we also did the polaroid guestbook and I highly recommend it. I got the camera, film (5 packs), and polaroid guest book for $62, $46, and $51 respectively (includes shipping). You only need one camera, but put someone in charge of getting everyone's picture (my 21 year old cousin volunteered and she got everyone). Bring colorful sharpies. Riu Bride - we took a group shot at the wedding. We took that shot and printed our individualized thank you (that we signed) on each and made 5x7 pictures. Those cost $5 each (envelop and picture). We took a different picture of just the two of us and did a 4x8 photo greeting card on Snapfish and sent those out as announcements to the friends and family who didn't attend and to all of our parents friends and miscellaneous associates. Given the timing of our wedding (November) we did Season's Greetings cards. Christine - We had little tradition and I don't feel that we needed any. Also, I really don't think I even needed a bridal bouquet. That's not a high ticket item nor is it a time-consuming organizational thing, so I would say skip the programs and menus. You don't need a program telling people who your wedding party is because everyone will be hanging out together. And the food is what it is. Save yourself the hassle of designing, writing copy, printing and shipping. Glenda - Ricardo's play list was EXTENSIVE. He didn't play the things I x'd out and he did read the crowd and played more of what people were responding to (which was...70s music!) Shannon - I would totally do the cocktail hour. It's worth it. We had a mariachi which was tons of fun and everyone took pictures in front of them (with their own cameras). I love the group shot thank you card idea. Great
  11. This is all SO SO great...Karla where did you find the classical trio for you ceremony and what were the prices? Also, do most people have a cocktail hour or do we just skip it and start the reception? Thanks

I have read the different packages, but I'm all for hearing others' personal experiences. Hi, Im pretty new as well and am trying to explore all my options. I love the grand palladium, any feedback would be great. I am looking for a resort that is affordable for my guests, did you find the palladium to be pricey? I was looking into the Xcaret Occidental, but I may be leaning away because of the lack of beach....decisions, decisions....ahhh
  15. Hey has anyone here heard of Claudiaphoto.com...not sure if ive seen her in any of these threads? Her pics look great and decent to low prices...any feedback would be great!
  16. I wonder why though, the Occidental resort looks so much classier? Location?
  17. Oh my gosh afer seeing those pics of the reception on the beach at Dreams, it makes me want to have my wedding there! It is so great to get to see these pics. Im so undecided. Is dreams cancun around the same price as the xcaret?
  18. It looks so beautiful...the ceremony area looks a bit small, do you know how many can they accomodate?...i am hoping for no MORE then 75 at the most...I also love the reception on the beach.... I like the whole sand effect, Im definately going to do an outside one on the sand.

As well as a save the date card with info. Destination Weddings has a whole system where it makes it so much easier for my guests and convenient for me as well. Not sure how all this works

Hi, I am looking into a wedding in RM....Just curious of what the actual pricing is for a good photographer, perfferably in the area....Im clueless...its such a chance to take, reguardless of the price. the pics are SO Important!! If you want big but not impersonal, try this upscale AI: It feels intimate despite its 200 rooms, and guests receive 5-star care. The party flows from the beach to six eateries - among them, Las Ventanas by Michelin-starred chef Sergi Arola - then on to the Piano Bar or the clubs of close-by Playa del Carmen.
