    We looked at about 20 websites last night and I had rates from a few photographers.. when he heard that some people charge $400 first hour and $300 each hour after, he didn't even want to hear about the $450-$500 people.. believe me he does understand how important it is.. we have many "books of love" lol our photo albums. Maybe I shouldn't have went over the budget with him at the same time. We're already over our 10k without photography/video.. uh oh

    Ugh.. I did recall reading that.. I was hoping maybe Juan would do my wedding for his rate..lol j/k Matt won't let me use Juan at $500/hr. (sad) I love Gilda's work and Dino's photos look pretty good. The websites are funny because some photos are bright and vibrant, but others are really dull looking.. I wonder if that's a reflections on the photos themselves?

    Thanks.. I completely stole the design and idea for other members who did the boarding passes. I used the template that Tammy uploaded, but had to switch between my Mac and PC to get the final product..that was a pain, but they're ordered and should be here soon.

    Exactly! Sorry I completely stole your idea, but how can you go wrong with "free" plus postage. My cards came out to just under $23 (without postage) for 100. No idea what I'm going to do with the leftovers... drink coasters? lol

    Awww. I remember you saying that in your "what would I change" review. I'll def. keep that in mind. I work for a magazine publisher and have several printer contacts.. I'll have to look into the cost.. sounds like it would be worth it. Again, your wedding was so beautiful. It's hard not to "copy" all the bests of everyone else's wedding.. lol hopefully some day, someone will be copying my wedding.

    No clue yet. I know I want to have it at Dreams. Most/All of our guest will be getting in that day, Friday. (Ceremony is on Sunday) I went there in '05 and our group ate there one night. I remember it was great. Sorry if you already answered this, but what was on your menu that night?

    Does anyone know where they are located (Tamm's)? I didn't see the info on their website. I contacted them about Cabo.. I got the same email text and "As of January 1, 2007 our package price for Cabo,Mexico weddings is $4295.00". Sounds like a great deal for all that you get, but still out of my price range.

    I really loved the idea of the boarding passes, but I'm on a budget sooo... I created a postcard with a passport on it. Hopefully my photos will upload ok.

    Rebecca, Thank you so much for the budget.. it's true there are so many "little things" that if you don't get track.. you could go way over budget. Question for you if you don't mind. Were you able to negotiate the rate for your Rehersal dinner? If you had 60 and it only cost you $700, that's only like $12/pp.. maybe not everyone was there?

    Just an update. I finally worked up the nerve and called my Grandma... She's sooo excited to go!! I think it helped that Matt and I are paying her way, but she'll be traveling and staying with my parents. She has a zillion questions for me like, can I bring a camera on the plane. lol!! I'll be visiting her in the beginning of Feb and told her I'd explain everything to her then. I'm still a little concerned about what she's going to do all day, but I'm so relieve to hear her say "yes"!

    That's a good rule about 3pm.. I think Oprah had one about not eating after 8pm. water, water, water! My FI is joining in. Instead of him making pasta and sauce for us at dinner, we grilled a few chicken breasts on Monday and have them ready for salads/dinner to eat with some steamed veggies.. I'm so glad I have his support. I'm cleaning out the cabinets tomorrow.. Week 2 will be tough if I have to open it up and see Ritz crackers everyday.. even if they are reduced fat.

    My trainer said no scale for 30 days... he also said, no pasta, bread, or rice for 30 days.. AH! I just finished week one.. I think I had a dream about garlic bread last night.. lol j/k angela

    New Cabo Bride

    Hey Linz, I'm getting married at Dreams Cabo on October 28th.. all the Sats were booked in October so SOMEBODY's getting married then. I think it's going to be a great time of year.. 90's during the day and 70's at night. My thought was Oct or Nov, but by Nov people are already getting busy with the holidays. If there is any bad weather in Cabo, I think it's usually Aug or Sept so Oct felt really safe. I haven't gotten very far with my plans, but please let me know if I can help at all. Angela

    Thank you so much Ann. My FI is about 3 inches shorter than I am (not a typo) and I wasn't sure what I was going to do about the shoes.. although I've never paid $55 for a pair of flip flops, I'll need to find some beautiful (flat) sandals. Great site! Angela

    Thanks Guys. I don't know why I'm so nervous even to ask.. I REALLY want her to be there, but I don't want her to feel pressured.. she's from a really small town..in fact the only time she's flown was to visit me in CA. She had a great time here.. No other "older folks" invited in our party. Who knows, maybe Grandma will get lucky in paradise! Ew.. can't believe I just thought that. Angela

    Did anyone have their grandparents attend their ceremony in Cabo? I'm getting married at Dreams in October and haven't talked to my grandma about it yet. My FI will be paying her way so finances aren't a concern. (she's on a fixed income) but when I ask her, I want to have an idea of things for her to do.. obviously drinking at the pool bar is out! She's from WI so not sure how she'll enjoy the 90 degree weather. She's my very favorite person in the world and want her very much to be there, but don't want her to be uncomfortable. any suggestions?

    Thanks Girls! I'm very excited and overwhelmed all at once. I think my main job is to rely on you guys and not my FI for venting. FYI: I changed my username so it wasn't my complete email address.. it's a play on from the fact that I'm originally from WI.. nowhere near a Diva.. just thought it was funny. "Cheese_diva".
