  1. Here's my cat Mya last year. Notice her tongue is sticking out.
  2. I recently saw photos from a co-workers honeymoon.. what a beautiful resort!
  3. Great review! Thank you so much for posting. I'm sure the Cabo girls will find it very helpful!
  4. You did a great job! I bought that paper too. I used it for my OOT bag tags.. I LOVE it! Your guests are going to think it's so personal and cute! Next item on your list because this one it checked off! YEAH!!
  5. Oh! I can't wait to hear all about it! Your bouquet and dress are beautiful!

A bride could start the "journal" right at the beginning and then add things as they go along instead of having to compile everything at the last minute to post.... That's great.. it took me a long time to get everything together for my post of stuff we did.. I actually had to refer back to some of my old posts for info..
  7. I really wanted to use a wedding photo on our thank you cards so up until the wedding (shower/engagement) I used boxed cards and will send picture thank you cards to guests who made it and guests who didn't but sent us a gift.
  8. Well, I planned on using these bra things that just tape on. (not cutlets.. just tape) but I didn't practice beforehand so when I was done I had saggy wrinkly girls.. not pretty.. I ended up ripping off the tape and going au'natural.. I didn't have a corset and it was strapless, but the girls stayed in place all day/night so no problems..
  9. What a great story!! Your man sounds very romantic.. good luck with the planning.
  10. This was the first dress I tried on.. did you call other local shops to see if they have it to try on? It's gorgeous but didn't flatter my body style as much as other dresses did so I would suggest trying it on if at all possible before ordering, especially if you have a wait months for it to come in.
  11. They look great but you might want to block out your phone number and last names for security/privacy reasons.. Great job! I'd be very impressed to receive one of your invites.
  12. Oh yeah! I almost bought this dress to wear to our welcome dinner.. it's very pretty!
  13. Unfortunately web images will not print nicely... 300dpi is preferred and unless your images was 300 dpi or higher, you can't add resolution to a picture.. In other words, you can't add dots or details to a photo that doesn't have it to start.. 72 dots per inch won't look good.
  14. Same as above.. many folks didn't rsvp when we sent out invites two months prior to the wedding.. so frustrating but if you send out this early, it's a total excuse not to RSVP because they don't know for sure until they're booked., but Save the Dates are a perfect way to get your guests excited and so they can start booking.

Some might think its a terrible idea, but we loved it and so did our guests, so I thought I should post it in case someone else thinks its as great as well did. We had Tool (one of my fave bands), Metallica, U2, Cold Play, Nirvana and Beatles. We wanted Nine Inch Nails but could not find it in the stores near us. OMG Julie! That's awesome! We played old classics by Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble during dinner but that's awesome.. how fun! I added a bookmark for that page to refer back to for a great baby shower gift or even my own kids some day.
  16. http://www.amber-brkich.com/wedding/ Here's a link to some of the vendors they used including dress maker.
  17. I think you need to start with an approximate budget of what you want to spend.. then get pricing on different food/drink options.. then you'll know if you have to either cut the guestlist or the food budget.. You could do heavy horsdevours instead of dinner or change the time of your party to just have snacks and a signature cocktail or two. If you're thinking about favors, you might figure on $3-6/per person.. you should be able to either make or find something that you love based on that number. You could always do something to mimic what you did for your actual wedding guests, ie we did custom koozies for our OOT Bags.. you could give those to everyone at the AHR or something native to Jamaica.
  18. I think it depends on the designer, but I think 4-6 months to order is standard. With that said, you could either try on other dresses in that style to see if you like it or wait until December and try on the actual dresses.. I would continue my search but hold off buying anything until you try them on in December.. that way if you don't like them on you, you might find something else that you love!
  19. I had the same problem in the beginning with Dreams Cabo.. Tammy (host) stepped in as my TA and was able to confirm right away.. If you don't have a TA, I would suggest calling again.
  20. Wow! Everything was so beautiful! You guys are a great looking couple! I can't wait to see the video if you liked that even more! Congrats!
  21. Circuit City has a bunch of DVDs for $5 each if we want to go that route...not sure if local stores are the same or just online orders. http://entertainment.circuitcity.com...&mid=sduidp0t0 slickdeals.net always has great codes and deals for online shopping.
  22. Frank is at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond LA, but I believe he's in ICU and wouldn't be able to accept gifts. Let me know if you want to send something to Robin's house.. I have her address and can PM it to you.
  23. We made arrangements for some of our family members (only because we paid and they paid us back) but I'm telling you, it's alot of extra stress that you may be ready to take on now, but if there are problems or changes, everyone is going to come to you for answers! I found it tough enough just to keep track of everyone's travels so we knew when they were arriving. We also coordinated the transfers for the guests arriving at the same time, but that's about it. It would be great to check into discount codes, but beyond that, your guests should be able to book on their own. Even when you book direct, flights change or get cancelled. Our guests used a mixture of online services and Travel Agent.. no complaints from either.
  24. Those are great! Everyone loves the magnet reminders and your paper is very cool.. way to get your guests excited!
