  1. My band curves around my ring. It was sold as a set but I don't see why a jeweler can't create this easily.
  2. Oh wow! I LOVE your tables! Everything looks gorgeous. great job with the details!
  3. We scrambled last minute (at the reception) to find a basket because so many people were handing us cards or asking where they should put them. My mom kept the basket by her but it probably wasn't the safest thing.. What if you have a person (like a family member or MOH) to direct people to. She/he could always have a satin pouch or something like that.. little more discrete than the mailbox card holder at some weddings. (no offense, but you wouldn't be able to bring/bring back something large)
  4. Yeah! Congrats!! What a way to end the year!
  5. Octavio from MexSun was great! Here's a link to my review http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t11318
  6. Hi Girls! The only problem I found was the photo cds were expensive through Snapfish.. many of my friends uploaded their photos for everyone to see but then also burned me a cd so I would have the hires files.. A CD through Costco.com is only like $3 or less so I did have one friend upload there (she couldn't figure out how to burn on her computer.) The price per print just went down to 9cents on Snapfish.. I have thousands to print.. still need to put them in albums.. lol next big project.
  7. I bought Model in a Bottle, but didn't get a chance to use it.. I was having some weird breakout two days prior to the wedding and didn't want to chance it by adding anything else to my face.. but I've read really great reviews about it. I bought the sensitive skin formula..

  9. Yeah Kristi!! I'm so excited for you.. what a wonderful story and how great you got that picture.. priceless!! Well we'll certainly can give you tons of ideas no matter where and when you guys finally get married.. plus I'm sure you'll see many beautiful destinations as you build up your destination wedding portfolio!! Yeah!!
  10. I used double sided tape to adhere the white cardstock to dark brown paper.. then I used a glue dot ripped in half to adhere the crystal.
  11. Us too.. engaged last year Christmas.. now we're married and working on making a family.. my how the times flies! Merry Christmas everyone.. what a wonderful year 2007 was!! I can't wait for 2008..
  12. Attached is out menu layout. We attached a swarvoski crystal to the center of each printout.. they had a dark brown backgroundAttachment 1314 Attachment 1315 OurMenuLayout.doc OurMenuLayout.pdf
  13. I hate you.. lol these are sooo great.!!!! Ah, as a married person you tend to live through others.. although I loved our wedding and celebration, I love your ideas..it's going to be so great. way to make it personal. I'm very proud of you!
  14. Sorry..you have to do the I do stuff to make it legal...lol.. it's not that bad.. I cried during the swearing in.... it was really sweet.. my man cried and made it more real than I ever thought it would be. It was great.. we'll still remember our real wedding as our mexico celebration but our courthouse ceremony was still great.
  15. You may not want to discuss with them the bad points.. just incase you change your mind and decide to go to Mexico.. it's kinda like if you tell your Mom something your FI did to upset you... you'll get over it, but your mother never will.. Best of luck on your decision.
  16. Welcome! I was a Dreams Bride (Oct 07).. be sure to check out the reviews.. tons of info there and of course you can always ask questions.. we're here to help and listen.
  17. I think some girls were going for wedges but personally I wouldn't have been able to handle anything more than flip flops in the sand and even that was a pain because the sand kept getting flicked up.. my bridesmaids who didn't want to walk on the plank walkway at Dreams all of a sudden hopped up during their long walk to the ceremony site.. I guess the sand was flicking all over and they were more afraid of tripping in the sand than on the planks.. opps.. got off topic. Anyhow, if you live close to a beach you may want to check it out, but I would think it would be impossible to walk (worse than on soft grass).
  18. Matt's sister read "Union" by Robert Fulghum.. she had everyone crying.. We had people coming up to us saying they didn't cry at their own wedding but they cried at ours!
  19. That is sooo true! I believe the same goes for most other vendors also, not just photographers.
  20. Just wondering if a Visa giftcard will work in Cabo? We used our Visa Credit card to pay for the wedding stuff at Dreams and were charged a $100 fee for the conversions.. we want to send a gift to our videographer who stayed way more hours than we paid for and who's work was so amazing. I don't want to send cash (that's how we paid him in person.) Maybe some of our Mexico friends can chime in..

  22. I love the dress.. it fits you perfectly. Your girls are going to like wearing their dresses too.. my girls had something similar and loved how flowy and cute they were. So you have the dresses.. what else? Have you worked out a veil or jewelry/shoe options yet?
  23. Thanks.. I seriously watch the highlights video at least once a day.. Jorge did such a wonderful job.
  24. Very stuck to a very strict budget (ie paying for it ourselves) therefore we made it known that we were keeping our guest list small and invited close family and friends only. We didn't invite co-workers that I see every day and none of them seemed to mind. For us the whole point of a destination wedding was to spend quality time with our closest supporters. On a side note, we didn't invite anyone that wasn't invited to the wedding to our engagement party/shower/bachelorette.. I didn't want it to seem like their invite was a for a gift only. I say take a good look at your budget before sending those cards out to 2nd cousins and people who you don't necessarily love.. it gets expensive and all ads up.
