I have an idea.. contact John Fagan.. he was our minister, now granted we had a symbolic ceremony because we married the day before we left here in the US.. but I wonder if a minister could help you with arrangements?? His email address is in my review (link under siggy) -
What about a framed or tent card with different cocktails and recipes on them?

Dress pricing?
cheese_diva replied to Bride010101's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I found the same thing.. a bridal salon in a less expensive area vs a bridal salon with higher rent had very different prices for the same dress..probably a $200 difference.. congrats! try doing a google search of the place name and "review".. if it comes back clean, I'd say go for it! -

Pashima Placement??
cheese_diva replied to cancunbride2be's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Thanks! They were actually really easy.. brown ribbon, sticker paper, circle hole punch, and home printer.. I have file attached in my planning thread. I cut out two of the stickers and backed them up together with the ribbon in between.. then in Mexico, rolled them up for the basket. The Pash's are pretty thin so they didn't take up too much room (medium basket) http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t10415 -
1st step is to copy the link you want to name 2nd step is to create a new thread or new post 3rd step is to type what you want the link to be called (ex. Abbie's Planning Thread) 4th step is to highlight the words you named it (Abbie's Planning Thread) 5th Step is to press the little world icon with the paper clip looking thing on the bottom, it is to the right of the bullet point insert, left margin and then right margin, then it is next! 6th Step is to paste (use CTRL+V) the link you copied in Step 1 into the URL line. This 'names' the link I would like to link to my slideshow from my photographer's site (I have permission).. I would like the link to read "My wedding slideshow by... blah blah".. I usually just cut and past the link in my post or siggy.. how do I name the link so it appears they way I want it to?

Pashima Placement??
cheese_diva replied to cancunbride2be's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I created tags for the pashminas, rolled and tied when we got to Mexico and our coordinator placed them in a large basket at the reception and placed in basket next to the flip flops we had. The photographer got a better picture of the setup but her's a friend's pic. -
Most of our guests hung out in the large pool.. we had our wedding on the beach and the reception by the Oceana Terrace (small pool).. Even though they were at the resort a few days prior to the wedding, both these locations were decorated so beautifully, they were special to the occasion. Our Welcome dinner was at Portofino and I believe that was the only meal they had at that restaurant.. Didn't really matter because we had a mexican buffet and not the normal menu food. The Cabo resort is large enough to feel you aren't stagnat in the same spot, but small enough to feel intimate. (Never had a problem finding our friends when we wanted to, but could easily get away to a palapa or separate location of the resort.)

I was in Cabo but same deal.. I started checking the weather and freaked before we left.. within a week, the weather forecast completely changed and it was 93 and sunny every day! I almost wish it was semi-cloudy.. first the sun wouldn't have been in my eyes the entire ceremony and second, photos of the sky with clouds are so gorgeous!! My fingers are crossed for you but like the other girls said, if it does rain, it won't last..

Question for the slideshow queens and photographers.. how do I get my DIY slideshow that I created in iPhoto to look as clear and crisp as the professionals that are posted online? It plays my .mov on screen fine, but when I upload to photobucket or google videos, the quality is horrible... I'm sure it has to do with compression or something but I can't seem to figure it out.. Also, one fabulous photographer shared this website with me.. this program is so great.. it allows you to create slideshows that move to the beat of the music instead of just music and each slide moves at the same speed. What a great way to incorporate more photos and make it really fun... too bad it's really expensive (but great for professionals) http://www.showitfast.com/ Anyone know of a less expensive option for this feature? I'm on a Mac.

For Dreams Los Cabos Brides...

No guest passes are needed for vendors, but if you're offering them a meal, then you pay for that. -

Custom Coozies/Koozies
cheese_diva replied to A10CalGal's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
We had the regular foam ones.. We stuffed about 50 of them into a large duffle.. We were lucky enough to have Maye hold them for us so we brought them during our site visit a few months prior to the wedding. If you have alot, I would recommend the collapsable ones.. Side note.. Dreams Cabo doesn't serve beer in cans anymore..just the small glass bottles and draft. Our guests didn't use their Koozies in Mexico (except one person put their cup in it).. but our group are big campers/poker players so they'll use them then. -
I just looked it up: What does Weight Watchers Online cost? Pay just $5 per week with our 3-Month Savings Plan!* $65 for the first 3 months $16.95 for each additional month** Standard Monthly Plan $46.90 for the first month $16.95 each additional month**

A lady at the salon showed me a little trick and just said to have one of my girls do this before going down the aisle... real easy... Stick a finger at one side of the back and run it across to the other side.. seriously it smooths it out.. works great for corset dresses.. Not sure about the armpit overflow.. you might have to practice standing differently. My mom's first comment when I sent her pics of me trying on dresses (I was so excited!).. they look too small.. you back is hanging out... nice!, thanks Mom! -
First of all.. never ask your FMIL anything when looking for a positive reaction.. LOL I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!! Your guests are going to get so excited about taking a trip when they receive a passport that you created just for your wedding.. Poo on her.. they're awesome!! In fact.. the other girls are probably going to want to use your template.

Wedding date advice please.
cheese_diva replied to sohappy's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I think I would be more nervous about bad weather in September than in October.. we were married Oct 28.. sunny and 93 every day. -

The Dog Whisperer is more about training than psychic ability, right? Here's the information on the Woman that was recommended. I explained her to Matt last night.. he thought I (and my forum friends) are nutty! lol http://www.dawnallen.org/index.htm I have to tell you after reading the experiences of girls on here, I'm more compelled to try it.

GGGGRRRRRRRR!!! Don't stress.. like you said, it probably won't happen anyhow. People have a serious way of irritating an already stressed/bride. They're lucky they're so close to you guys or you could go bridezilla on them!
