  1. How about just whatever and turn it down slightly? You know, nobody is really paying attention to the music.. they're just watching you cut and feed each other cake which takes about 3 minutes.. then the DJ can just turn up whatever song he was playing and guests can go back to dancing or wait for cake..
  2. I didn't buy them so I can't help with brand but I had separates added to the top/outside of my eyes.. It made them pop more in pictures. Up close I'm sure they looked a bit out of place, but I thought they looked pretty.

  4. We had 40 guests at Cabo Dreams. Our our original budget was 10K until we realized how much photography was (I had no idea).. we changed our budget to 15K but didn't include our travel/stay or our rings.. we came in $100 over budget... not bad! I tried to save money on each and every little thing and don't buy a bunch of "wedding stuff" in the beginning of your planning.. save the ideas and buy once you have a completed vision.. We were able to hire firedancers/DJ and include a bunch of DIY stuff to complete the feeling we were going for. You could always use your points to have an extended honeymoon if you decide to not have your wedding there.
  5. Wow Leigh!! I'm going to check into WW right now! I've gained almost 10lbs since November so you're a great inspiration!!
  6. I bought the bags that I used for my postcards (100 5x7 Clear Resealable Poly/Cello bags) and my Aches and Pains kits (4x2x8 Clear Gusseted Cello/Poly Bags) from ebay seller uniquepacking 100 4x2x8 Clear Gusseted Cello / Poly Bags 4 x 2 x 8 - eBay (item 180213189713 end time Feb-07-08 11:48:19 PST) They worked fine.. I wish they had been a bit taller just to make them a little prettier, but everything fit well. I also used them for my shower gifts.
  7. I'm sure Sarah will reply... but I think this is her original thread http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t3593
  8. I too love that it has such special meaning.. it's really beautiful! He/She did a great job and I love that you found your inspiration while in Mexico. (and of course your wife!)
  9. Yay Sarah! I'm so excited for you! So many changes for you and Jeff the past few years! Your work is beautiful and I can't wait to see more of your designs. Congrats on your new business.

  15. I sent mine over to Tami also.. I'm sure there will be more from the summer brides. or you can purchase for Oriental Trading Co.. that's where I got mine.
  16. Great video! It really captured how happy you guys were on your wedding day! Congrats!
  17. We hired Jorge Ibarra for video and he turned out to be our favorite vendor.. we LOVE LOVE LOVE our video! We also had a friend who volunteered to video the ceremony and little before. That was really nice of her and we appreciate it but the professional video was so much better (obviously). There was so much that we and our photographer missed (like ceremony setup and details before guests arrived)... I'm really glad we did it.
  18. Oh and don't worry.. I was super freaked about my Saturday not being available and feeling super stressed like time was just ticking away and I had to make a decision or just die.. lol you'll probably go through that feeling a zillion times especially when you don't hear back from your coordinator. Pick a time that works for you and your VIP guests.. when you do a destination wedding the date isn't as important because you aren't worried about people having to work the next day.. they're on vacation and people who go are going to stay more than 2 nights (3 min.)
  19. They look great! How do they return the RSVP? Are you providing an envelop or online? What are you mailing them in? You did a fantastic job!
  20. We had a Sunday wedding and I LOVE how the timing turned out.. Many of our guests arrived Friday (mid-day) we had a welcome dinner that evening. and went out partying that night (our group always goes BIG on the first night!).. Saturday was hang out at the pool (aka nurse your hangover with more cocktails).. With a Sunday wedding I didn't have to worry about people being hungover during our ceremony and they were able to enjoy the evening reception. Some guests could only stay Friday-Monday so they left the next morning (some family).. others stayed until Tuesday.. and then a few others stayed til Wednesday. You should consider Sunday..
  21. We just met our guests (a bunch were arriving on the same flight) in the lobby with our bags and handed them out as they checked in... I wouldn't want them delivered to the rooms because rooms change (upgrades) all the time and chances are the bags wont be in the same room they're in so they'd get them later or the next day... also it was just easier with our pile of 25 bags to split them between Matt and I and hand them out with a hug and a smile!
