  1. Lookie-Loo's probably will vary by the resort you choose. I would try to find photos from a previous wedding at the resort you're interested in. That will give you an idea of what to expect in the background. You can usually search YouTube or even just google a photo site like Photobucket and if someone named their video or photos with part of your resort name, you'll get some visuals. I had a beach wedding in Cabo and we had onlookers as I walked down the aisle but everyone was very respectful and I didn't notice anyone but my DH once I was up there. It is something to be concerned about.
  2. OMG! I can't believe I missed this thread. I was waiting for your party pics! Wow, you didn't disappoint.. looks like you guys had a BLAST!! woohoo!!
  3. I would vary the sizes.. especially because you may not be able to fit the same size across the entire section (you want to cover as much as possible) I bought a starter kit through Tami's website that was very helpful. It came with a polishing cloth, tweezers, glue and a pointer thing that you can dab in the glue.. Basically I made a blob of glue and just dipped the back of my crystals in it using the tweezers, but everyone seems to have their own method. Warning: it took hours but was well worth it. I had tons of crystals left over and used them on my menus and place cards. Tami was great about sending me actual pictures of the crystals I was interested in. It helped to really see the colors and sizes.
  4. You can dispute your charge through PayPal too..

I think the security is mainly to keep people from bothering the guests but the resort is fairly small and they may ask you to confirm your room number. If you're dining with a few couples, they may ask for multiple room numbers.
  6. I didn't make them but I agree, if you don't tie something around them, they will unroll/expand and will be difficult to get out. I love the ones with the string/raffia tied around it and then attached to the cork so it's really easy for your guests to pull out your message.

I'm thinking the ravioli and beef wellington so far. I wonder why the surf and turf has gotten such mixed reviews. I believe the Ravioli is considered one of the courses but not the main course. It was yummy but unfortunately cold by the time we were ate it. The Bride and Groom food was also cold because they gave it to us just before our MOH and BM gave their speeches... oh well. I wasn't really that concerned about eating that night. (The SeaBass was still good though!) We didn't go for the Surf & Turf because of the additional charge and we weren't able to taste it during our tasting (we would of been charged for it.)
  8. Dreams Los Cabos just charged for the setup of the lights and we had to only bring the lanterns. Check with your venue to see if they have the wire setup that you need.
  9. I would hand deliver.. especially if you LOVE your invites. That completely sucks! I don't think the US has postal regulations like that.. I know there's an additional charge for square envelopes but boxes are hand cancelled and not ran through a machine.. my postage was just based on weight. I never thought about the height! So sorry that happened to you...
  10. After a week at Dreams, we stayed at Los Milagros Hotel downtown Cabo for the last two nights of our honeymoon. It's a small bed and breakfast ran by a really great lady named Sandra. Super laid back... It was within walking distance of the Marina and in a very safe neighborhood. It isn't all inclusive but we really enjoyed eating at little places we would have never found otherwise.. that and just catching a bite to eat at a local taco place for lunch or spending the day at Lover's Beach. It was really cheap too.. under $100 per night and the air conditioning worked great. Los Milagros Hotel (Cabo San Lucas, Los Cabos) - Hotel Reviews - TripAdvisor If you're looking for a place that isn't luxurious but rather just relaxing, the courtyard is really pretty and you can easily get around town without a taxi or rental car... I would definitely recommend Los Milagros to any friend.

They were only suppose to help the grandmas and moms in the sand but ended up walking all the ladies to their seats. It was really sweet. I think Matt really appreciated having his guys up there with him the whole time. There's a great picture of his BM rubbing his back to help with the nerves.
  12. Morgan. Love the story of how you started dating! So sweet and obviously a happy ending!
  13. Oh! I want to go back so bad after seeing that!!
  14. Make sure you have it cleaned and pressed before you leave. They should also package the bodice on a small form to keep the breast area filled out. It's hot carrying your dress through the airport but do it.. like the others said, I didn't let it out of my site until I put in the closet on the plane. (make sure you're one of the last to add your stuff so it doesn't get a suitcase put on it.) Then when you get to your resort hang it. Our resort offered pressing but being paranoid I decided to just let it hang and any wrinkles that were created during transit were gone before the wedding. You could always hang in the bathroom with the shower running on hot, but don't do this if you have a silk dress.. water stains on silk are horrible.
  15. Oh wow! How exciting! Congratulations.. there defiantly is something in the BDW water!
  16. Love the photo of Amos in the water.. looks like a lot of fun.

Welcome to the forum.. you'll find many former Dreams Cabo brides under the reviews section.
  18. Are you talking about the hotel coordinator? At this point you should be speaking fairly regularly. I was emailing back and forth with my outside coordinator during my entire wedding planning. You'll need to know the time of your wedding for your invites. Not to freak you out but that should have been confirmed when you booked.
  19. When our ftp site was down for a bit we used yousendit.com but I just looked and it's only free for 14 days. It's web based though so that's nice.
  20. We use transmit at work.. I think they have a free trial but I believe even the free version works well. I'll look it up when I get to work too because there's a web based program that I'm almost positive is free and it's super easy to use.
  21. Search for Obagi.. I know Host Tammy had great results and there's lot of information on the web about it.. although I don't know if you have enough time for it to work.. it takes a few months where you basically could shed your old skin.. they call it the Obagi Uglies... you'll have events coming up before your wedding that I'm sure you want to look great for.. It may be worth looking into though.
  22. hmmm.. it's taking a long time to load.. may be me. I LOVE the feet in the air! Wow and mom looks great (I hate her already) lol Anyone get peed on?
