You can book online if you have enough miles to cover the entire cost..otherwise I think you need to buy more miles to make up the difference in which you would probably want to call for reservations directly. Reservations - Select Flights - Award Flight Search

I was just thinking back to my search and the Amazing photographers were allot more than just half the cost of a good one..like it was 2 hrs vs 8 hrs with prints so it was a no-brainer for us. BUT You only have those photos to look back on as your memories fade. If you're looking for something artsy and unusual I would go with the amazing photographer... if you just want beautiful photos and have a tighter budget go with the very good one.

help me pick a hairstyle
cheese_diva replied to Agape Gems's topic in Destination Weddings in Jamaica
I really like them all. No. 1 scares me.. if it's humid or if you hair doesn't hold the curl, you may end up with a hairspray/uncurled mess.. They had to redo my MOH's hair 3 times because the curl kept falling out. We finally busted out the AquaNet and gave it a good coating before curling for the last time, but it wasn't as soft and pretty as it was the first time... just a thought. -
I think 4 hours is adequate to capture your day.. just depends what you want more photos of.. later at night with friends/family.. getting ready shots? The ceremony usually only lasts about 15 minutes.. so if you do one hour before the ceremony, the wedding, formals (and keep things moving) during your cocktail hour or whatever before reception, if you do your first dance and cake cutting towards the beginning of the night I bet you could capture most events.. although Del Sol has awesome night shots so you may choose to spend more time on the beach. I was surprised to hear you could get them for that long for under $4,000.. I thought their rates were much higher.

Stephanie.. WTF is up with your mom? That sounds like something a bad friend would do, not your mom! I'm so sorry you had to go through the stress of it all. Your sister sounds so great! Lean on each other as I'm sure you have been.

Meal Plan & Recipes from my nutritionist PM me if you want it
cheese_diva replied to Ana's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
Thanks for taking the time to write out those tips. I think we all wish at one time or another we could see a professional nutritionist. We all think we "know" how to eat well but make choices to do otherwise, but these tips might help someone realize there are better ways to do even the things they think are healthy. -

Has anyone had the rack of lamb Dreams Cabo
cheese_diva replied to Christi's topic in Cabo Accommodation & Site
I'm sure it is! If you get into town a few days before the wedding you could request it for dinner one night (if you really wanted to) but I wouldn't worry.. most of the items we tried were really yummy! -

I would also ask for multiple shots to be taken of each item you've put on the list, and emphasize you want that so you have a wider choice. For example, if she takes 5 shots of one photo setup, then she narrows it down to only 2 good ones from the original 5 taken- you want to see both of those 2 photos to choose which one you would want as a print. Once everyone is together (welcome dinner, etc...) before the wedding, make sure to introduce her to each person on that list individually and emphasize who they are and the relationship between you and the person (ie: This is Aunt Mary- she is my fiancee's aunt whom he's only been able to see once every 5 years)... Me, personally--- I would ask to see the raw images from the camera before any touch-up work had been done. There could be 1-2 images that she wouldn't choose to make in the presentation to you- but those could be the images you would actually want. (Sorry about the hijack Raeka!) I believe she will look at a list but won't shoot off of a list. I would suggest having someone in your wedding party or a guest know what you want and help setup photos. If my bridesmaid hadn't done this we wouldn't have any semi-formals or fun shots. Do ask to shoot more than one photo per setup! Also I wouldn't worry about photos not making it into your slideshow, I believe every single photo she took was included...

Has anyone had the rack of lamb Dreams Cabo
cheese_diva replied to Christi's topic in Cabo Accommodation & Site
I don't recall that being an option for an event.. sorry we didn't try it. I just looked at our old menu options and it looks like it's "Lamb Wellington served with mushroom duxell and demi armaniac sauce", wouldn't that be in a pastry? -
Can her assistant travel on the normal schedule (I'm assuming here that her assistant is also her 2nd shooter)? That way, worse case, the assistant can shoot your wedding? Please don't rely on friends/family for your wedding photos. You never get that day back and even if you don't think the photos are super important now, they're all you'll have after (except your husband of course!)

I'm so sorry. I don't even know what to say other than send you a hug.

Yay Betsy! Have a wonderful time and enjoy every moment. All your hard work always pays off in the end. Have fun!

We just finished putting up our photos at home. I did one arrangement in the living room with my favorites and then 2 areas in the bedroom with my 3 favorite TTD photos and my underwear shot. We used our photo credit to order our Welcome dinner photos. I don't know if you've had things printed, but I had to reprint several photos because they were very dark. (I opened them up in photoshop first) and the one of us jumping, Michael Wachniak (photographer on BDW) opened for me. I found enlargements on Mpix to be very reasonable so maybe order something you can't get from there?

I feel so bad for you. Finding a dress is often a difficult and emotional process. Colors are sometimes difficult to distinguish on your screen.. in the first ebay photo the sash does look like it's silver, just depends on the lighting. Was there a description along with the photo? There are other girls on here that had great luck with their custom China dresses. I'm sorry you weren't pleased with the outcome. It's difficult to see from the photos that how the lace looks. Have you tried it on or are you just too disgusted with what you're seeing?

I think the problem that happens more often is you send an invite to a couple and they send back their RSVP with more than 2 marked.. ie they invite their kids or additional family members. Some people are clueless about the process and/or the amount of money weddings cost per person. My girlfriend had the opposite problem.. many people RSVP'd and then never showed!!! She had many empty tables and tons of food left over. Talk about mad!

I never heard of "push gift" but my girlfriend shannon has gotten jewelry for each of her three kids. It wasn't expected, just something her husband did as a thank you and became tradition as each new kid arrived. I think it's really sweet. I guess it's like anything else, the more money you have, the less outrageous the price tag is to you. I wouldn't pay $100 for a t-shirt but lots of women wouldn't think twice.

Bring something healthy in to eat so you won't be tempted.. Maybe a lowfat muffin that will fill you up? lol That doesn't sound as good as a doughnut!

I believe alot of those campsites on the beach are first come, first serve, no reservations. My friends go to Fria (probably spelled wrong) but they get there on a Wednesday, then come home and go up in the evenings until the weekend. We go to lake Casitas (Ojai) alot (but no swimming in the lake) and there's some ban right now about bringing in your own boat at all the local lakes because of mussels. They have a water park for kids (and adults I think) and also a good frisbee golf course. We also go to Far West in Santa Paula.. no water, but there is hiking and they have peacocks all over the place. Great horseshoe pits and it's privately ran so it's really clean. Their bathrooms have nice showers.

I'm almost positive he only does weddings through Mexsun. I didn't get the name of his salon from him.
