  1. I think those are gorgeous, I love the huge flower background, the front is gorgeous! I do think the back is useful info... anyway you could remove the flower from behind the calendar - that might make it look less busy if you're worried about it. But I think they're really gorgeous!
  2. I'm planning on sending out my STDs in a month or two, so that will be about 9 months in advance. I am enclosing a card with instructions for how to RSVP on the site... though I'm not hopeful! I'll see how that goes - probably hassle people a bit more later... and then when I send out the formal invites 3 months or so in advance, will decide at the time whether I want to include an RSVP card...
  3. Hi Alissa, Please let me know what you find out! My FI is Jewish also, and I am not... I don't want a Jewish ceremony, but I would like to mix some Christian and Jewish traditions in a nice way, would love to hear your ideas! Thanks.
  4. Ann, I am so impressed! I am going to try that too! I just used clip art for my save the dates after a disaster using my photos... so we'll see how that comes out!
  5. These are all fabulous, you guys are so brilliant with the DIY!! Also, the wording is really useful... wasn't sure where to start with wording, thanks!
  6. These dresses are gorgeous! I, like Ann, am not having bridesmaids... But my sister and I just got my bridesmaid dress for her wedding... It's here: I don't mind it, don't love it, but compared to some of the dresses I've had to wear before for bridesmaids, I think I'm doing pretty well this time!!
  7. That's hilarious, Eric is going to roll his eyes! I have to send it.
  8. Ah, thanks Glenda!! Actually, I just go back from California last night, had to get up early for a meeting this morning (which is HARSH with the 8 hour time change), and have a late night call with California too, am totally swamped with work -- BUT, am on the forum anyway because it's my birthday! And my mum and FI are cooking dinner and having friends over tonight, so delightful. Thanks!
  9. Tammy, your hubbie wore linen too right? Did it wrinkle terribly, or was it okay?
  10. Ann, that is insane, are you kidding me, you made those? I don't understand. so, you just used word to arrange the clip art and the wording, then went to kinkos or something and printed it on fancy paper? that's incredible! how did you make the loopy thing that goes around? I'm very impressed!
  11. Yeah, I haven't been sure how to handle this either. I like the idea of not sleeping together the night before, just because of the anticipation and tradition, but yes, we live together already, so it's a bit silly, and my FI doesn't really want to do it... So, I'm not sure... We have a while to think about it too, but I would like to part for the night... BUT, definitely never heard of not spending the day before together, not worrying about that...
  12. That is absolutely fantastic! so brilliant, thanks for sharing. Lenita, you go hot lady!
  13. Oooh, I love those little fan programs, I will have to copy that, thanks for the instructions, it looks great!
  14. Oh my goodness, i was just thinking that it must be SO MUCH work to do these, but so worth it because they turned out great, but then saw you have 17 guests which makes it a bit better. Great work! I really like them a lot, some great ideas for me when I get there.
  15. She looks fab! And despite the wind, it looks like everything is sunny and beautiful, and most importantly she looks happy! Can't wait to see the wedding photos. Jen, you are so like me! We're ridiculous, I went through the Moon Palace Obsession too!
  16. So Jessalyn, I just could NOT resist, and went to try on your dress, and I LOVED IT! BUT, I wanted to know because I was trying dresses on, and I felt fine, and when I put yours on, suddenly I was BOILING hot. And, the fabric is really thick. Are you worried at all about being too hot? Or just not worrying about it because the dress is so gorgeous? Or did you somehow take the thick hot layer out? Just wondering! And Tammy - no, not allowed pictures, but these are the ones I liked best (the top one being Jessalyn's, I hope this doesn't make you mad, like I'm copying you!). CasaBlancaBridal.com: Fall Collection/1831 CasaBlancaBridal.com: Spring Collection/1772 For some reason, you have to copy and paste this one, the link doesn't work.
  17. Yay, I'm so glad that you decided too Jen, though I am sad that we won't be at the same place, the same week! I looked into Iberostar too, and it seemed like a good option, can't remember why I decided against it! I forgot - looked into so many hotels, they are all wonderful really.
  18. 250 dollars... She did tell me that you can have a photographer, but they have to stay at the hotel, similar to some of the other resorts... Not sure what I will do, maybe see how you find the resort photographer to be!
  19. You have to be kidding? that cheap I can't believe it, you look fantastic, they're gorgeous!
  20. Amy, the more I research the Riviera Maya, the more excited I am, I think it will be fabulous! No ideas about cakes, but I have done TONNES of research into the locations, and needed some more affordable options too. Riu Palaces are a bit more expensive, but the Riu Yucatan is more affordable. Also, the Barcelo Maya is a more affordable option and looks great. Grand Palladium Colonial and Dreams Tulum too -- this is the one that I still cannot get my mind off of even though I finally picked a location. I really liked it, but my FI nixed it... don't really know why. Anyway, those are the most affordable but still nice ones that I found in all my research! The beauty of the Riu and the Barcelo is that you can stay at the posher more expensive side and have your wedding there, and some of the guests can stay at the cheaper side, where you can go to use the facilities and spend time there. At the Riu, only 20% of your guests can stay at other Rius or hotels, and you have to pay for a day pass for them to attend your wedding. The Barcelo doesn't have those restrictions. But, I really like the idea of people being on the same complex and being able to choose the price range that they want. Hope this helps!
  21. Anny, they're fantastic! And Ann, thanks for the tip on the photo stamps, what a cool idea!!! I love it.
  22. Welcome welcome! And Ann... it will be productivity worldwide!! Don't forget us Brits!
