Jackie, i have a few questions about the weddings at the Iberostar Tucan. We (along with 40 people are staying there) for our wedding because of all the great reviews, but I'm not to sure about the wedding.. It looks like it's by the building by a chain link fence.. The reception is in a resturaunt- with other hotel guests if you dont have over 50 people to reserve the whole thing adn then to the disco if you want.. I'm thinking of going to Mr. Sanchos in Cozumel- they have beautiful weddings but it may be a pain to ferry over.. Could you give me your honest oppinion about the resort wedding.. I need to decide soon!! Thanks so much Andrea

I found the hotel map.. Sounds like 10 is a great building and 20 on the other side!! http://travel.webshots.com/photo/131...35014968tPGeAG I am also staying at the Shangri LACaribe after the 7 nights at the Tucan. We have 2 kids and we wanted some time to ourselves after they go home with grandma. When you are down there can you see how far the pier is from the Tucan and a guess how far the Shangri La is from the Tucan? I just wanted to see how to tell the guests how to get to the pier from the hotel for our wedding in Cozumel.

My resort only lets you use their photographer.. And I heard he is not so great.. You may run into that at most resorts. I wouldn't let that hinder you from staying at a place you love!!

Here is a great idea for a gift regisrty.. they will give a percent of gift sales to your charity of choice. You can register at so many places.. I think I did REI, Target and a cooking website. www.idofoundation.org I set mine up to give to a charity close to me... Friends of AirLife.. I'm a flight nurse with AirLife Denver and we lost our crew 10 years ago in a helicopter crash. We use the money from our charity to teach safety classes, give back to families of EMS professionals who lost their lives and give out scholarships among other things.
