Not that funny but I'm laughing about it....
Nrvsbride replied to DreaW's topic in Just venting or funnies
Drea I'm glad they missed you. But it sucks that one person ruins it for everyone. Did you ever get a recommendation from the principal? I would ask him for one now to keep in your files, in case he leaves and you don't have any contact info for me. Its better to have it now just in case. -
Totally unnecessary item - but I want it

I have these and I actually hate them. B/c after I get a pedi I usually go home and then I am dying to take my shoes off but I can't and have to wait. It actually becomes annoying. And you think getting stares from flip flips in zero degree weather is bad? Try wearing these. People look at you like your homeless and have a hole in your uggs. LOL. -

I like Jean-Marcus' idea about forwarding it to the husband and calling her to say "ooops". She obviously is not taking business card pics with her cellphone. She is a liar. Does she really believe your FI is going to fall for that? While I agree that she just wants attention I don't think I could just ignore her b/c she will probably still keep doing it. Crazy people don't realize they are being ignored. If he ignores her on these stupid issues, she will just find other reasons to call him...relating to his son. You should watch Tyler Perry's, Why did I get married. There is a couple that has this problem and at the end the man finally tells the ex that she is not to contact him unless it relates to their son. He was really firm with her and she understood. Maybe your FI should do the same.

I know but the sugar content was disgusting. And I think I had already used up my calories for the day before I ate those 4 pieces. Uggh. Now I feel bloated today and I know its b/c of the fruit roll ups. I wish someone would roll me up into a small little body. LOL.
-
Yeah but then yesterday I convinced myself it was okay to have a fruit roll up b/c it only has 50 calories. Well 4 fruit roll ups later I had to pry the box out of my hands. Ugh!

Do you ever feel like it's just not worth it?
Nrvsbride replied to lyrebard's topic in Just venting or funnies
Everyone has felt stressed at some point in the planning process. The thing to do is remember what it was that first attracted you to a DW. I guarantee you that you will have an amazing wedding and it will all be worth it in the end. Why does FI's parents want to stay so far away? Could you talk to them and explain that the great thing about having a DW is that you get to do a family vacation? Tell them how much it would mean to you guys to have them stay at your hotel. They should really reconsider since you are paying for them. With regards to your grandma, don't worry a lot of older people travel. My 91 year old grandmother is on a trip to costa rica as we speak. Everything can be arranged and older people love the sunshine so it will be a great experience for her. -
Karen & Jason have so much fun! This is going to be an awesome trip! I can't believe its almost your 1 year anniversary. It feels like just yesterday you guys were planning your wedding.

OMG that is so funny! I love it! You must have been ROFL.

Uggh I don't feel like I am doing well at all. I have been going to the gym and eating healthy but with some of the food I eat, I have no clue how many calories are in it. For example yesterday I ate grilled chicken and steamed string beans but I have no clue how many calories is in that. And for some strange reason I don't have that flat tummy feeling, in fact I feel bloated. Uggh! This is not a good monday. All I can think about our unhealthy foods. At least I went out on friday and did not have one alcoholic drink! Not one. I was proud of myself for that and for not ordering greasy bar food.

You lost 16lbs already and that is amazing! I would love to lose 16 lbs! Good job on working out longer.

Girls we have to stay strong this weekend! It is so easy to fall off and revert to bad habits when we go out to bars, restaurants, parties, etc. Let's stay focused. I think if I go out and feel tempted I am going to call my buddy to talk me out of it. It will be like a sponsor for, AA excpet for food b/c let's face it, I am addicted to food!

Yari what that little Stephanie girl said to your future step-daughter is so RUDE! Uggh why don't parents teach their children manners anymore? If it makes you feel any better my FI's barber asked him if I had the baby yet.

You really shouldn't weigh yourself yet. We are only on day 3! If you start weighing yourself it is going to drive you crazy and you will be more likely to give up if you don't see the numbers budging. Just keep stick to it and I promise you that you will see results.

Betsy McD's salads are actually horrible for you! A salad from there will run your body in the area of 510 calories and 31 grams of fat. Ouch! Might as well eat a Quarter Pounder with cheese, which will give you 510 calories and 25 grams of fat. I'm telling you McD's is not healthy anyway you slice it. And don't fall for the yogurt parfait (sp?) either, they are just as unhealthy! Here is what I plan to do: When I get invited out to dinner I'm going to eat a little bit before I go so I won't be starving when I get there. I plan to fill up on steamed veggies. Also, if you add a tbs of vinegar to your food it will kill your appetite (Heidi Klum does this before she goes out to dinner). I am going to check out menus before I go out so I can have planned what I want to eat. For some reason I feel that if I have a plan, I will be more likely to stick to my goal!

Good job on working out! I should def get this DVD! Okay I was really bad last night and I didn't go to the gym. I got home so late that all I wanted to do was pass out. On the upside, I didn't stay up late binging on snacks so that is good. I have a healthy snack to add: I bought apple sauce, the kind that has no sugar in it and it has such little calories. It is a great snack when your craving something sweet. I also eat handfuls of almonds. And for those girls that are eating oatmeal, I add some flaxseed to mine. It really helps boost your metabolism. I'm also drinking green tea, which is also supposed to help your metabolism.

It is really tempting when your alone to want to order fast food or order in but you stuck your ground! Luckily FI is making me turkey chili tonight so I won't eat bad. It's tomatos and 99% fat free turkey (instead of fatty red meat) and healthy beans. And what's also great about the chili is that there are very little carbs (only from the beans) so it is mostly protein. YAY!

For some reason yesterday was easier for me than today. I feel lazy and hungry today! Uggh. No matter what though I will work out tonight. I have to!
-
Thanks Lisa! I'm still searching as well. I find some that are close to it but not the one I'm looking for.

Lisa Darn it wasn't either of these! But thank you so much for your help, I greatly appreciate it. I just remembered that it also went to Monaco! Ahh I need to find this cruise and go on it, even if I spend all my money.

I've always felt like JCrew is so expensive. I don't shop at A&F b/c everyone there weighs 20 pounds and gives me dirty looks when I enter the store, so why bother? The Gap clothes are made by 8 year old Malaysian and Guatemalan kids. No thanks. Okay off my soapbox now.

Drea I'm sorry you had a bad day, but it sounds like it turned around for the better. Why don't you just keep the permit inside your car and hang it on the rear view mirror, so this way you won't forget?
