Nrvsbride replied to Yari's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
Uggh I also gained weight this week. Yeah I def am one of those people who needs motivation or else I slack. And I need to be held accountable! Girlies enjoy the last day b/c tomorrow we start it up! Alyssa are we doing buddies again? I think the buddy system is good. It helps to have someone whip your butt if you get out of line! LOL. Ahhh summer is coming! (As I prepare to order a slice of pizza, lol) -
NYJen's Wedding Summary - VERY LONG!!!
Nrvsbride replied to NYJen's topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
Jen when I saw the pics I could tell Brendan was tearing. That is so nice that you had your grandfather's handkerchief. -
Congrats to very well deserving members!

I can't believe you posted this b/c I had a "talk" with FI about bathroom etiquette. After showering he immediately steps onto the mat letting every ounce of water on his body drip so that when I enter the bathroom next I slip and go flying into the bathtub. He also brushes his teeth in the shower which drives me insane! To make matters worse he shaves inside the shower and leaves all these thick coarse hairs in the tub. He never rinses it so when I get to it it looks like we shaved a lamb. Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!! And yes he leaves the wet towel on the bed and his clothes in a pile on the floor. *SERENITY NOW*

Nrvsbride replied to LCBride2007's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
Ladies thanks to all your hard work, we maybe that much closer to helping someone who is suffering from this painful condition. The love and support we showed each other throughout these 8 weeks really helped our health, our self-esteem and hopefully will benefit someone who also needs it. YAY ladies! -
BM Vent aka- I'll be wearing orange on my wedding day
Nrvsbride replied to ErinB's topic in Just venting or funnies
Ok this is really annoying. Sorry if this is a stupid question but do they have to go for 8 days? I'll be honest $2,000 is a lot of money to just have lying around. If they can't afford it now, its doubtful they are going to have the money to pay you back anytime soon. Can they shorten their trip? Couldn't they at least go for the weekend like 3nights-4 days type of thing? Is there traveler's insurance? If so you can usually cancel or at the very least change the dates for a shorter time. -
Jen I don't even know where to begin! I loved the flower in your hair, loved it! And I don't know if its your mom of your MIL but whoever it was had a beautiful champagne/gold looking dress. Loved that too! I loved the limes with the small flowers as part of the decor on the table. I really liked your color scheme and the place looked amazing! The Hilton is so beautiful! Oh yeah and that little girl in the white dress is adorable! Congrats again!

Uggh Julia I am so sorry. I'm an attorney too and I know how stressful it can be to try to find a job. There is so much politics involved in these law firms, its completely unfair! I was going to mention what Becks mentioned which is to do document review temporarily. Sometimes those temp jobs last for 10 to 12 months. Do they have stuff like that in Toronto? Another option is to look through legal recruiting agencies. I'm not sure I understand all the logistics but does this mean that your FI has to do the articling (not sure I'm pronouncing that right) again at another firm before he can be hired? Or does the articling he did at this firm count towards a job somewhere else? Additionally, just b/c your a lawyer doesn't mean you have to work in that capacity. Could he apply for a business job like in legal compliance at a corporation? A lot of people here also work for auto insurance companies as insurance adjusters. Maybe that's an option for him. I am going to keep my fingers crossed that something comes his way. I imagine that you are super stressed but hopefully things will turn around for him and everything will work out.

Ok I am 100% in. I don't know if James will be able to come or not (b/c he usually works at night) but either way put me down for 2. If he doesn't come I'll just bring a friend who can help me wreak havoc!

Yay! Not only is it Cinco de Mayo today but its also Rachelle and David's 2nd wedding anniversary! Rachelle joined when she was already married and was here to help plan her friend's DW and she never left! Hurrray for us! Congrats on your anniversary!

My husband thought the funeral was for Sawyer because the officiant who was attending it said he had no friends. Plus it was in a bad part of town, and in the news paper clipping that Jack had it showed that the deceased persons name started with a J ie. James just some thoughts This is the text from newspaper clipping: "The body of John Lantham of New York was found shortly after 4 a.m. in the 4300 block of Grand Avenue. Ted Worden, a doorman at the Tower Lofts complex, heard loud noises coming from the victim's loft. Concerned for the tenants' safety, he entered the loft and found the body hanging from a beam in the living room. According to Jaime Ortiz, a police spokesman, the incident was deemed a suicide after medical tests. Lantham (sic) is survived by one teenaged son. Memorial services will be held at the Hoffs-Drawlar Funeral Home tomorrow evening." Since he has a teenage son I always thought it was Michael and that Kate wouldn't go b/c Michael betrayed them. But who the heck knows.

Also I forgot to mention that who ever is appointed the adminstrator/adminstratix will have the legal right to cash all her checks and pensions and distribute them as they see fit.
-
Michelle since she died intestate (meaning w/o a will) someone needs to be appointed the adminstrator or adminstratix (female) for her estate. If you want it to be you then you have to file what's called a Petition for letters of Adminstration. You have to file it in the county in which she resided. So wherever she lived at the time is the county in which you would file it. The form is annoying, I'm not going to lie but its doable. If you want to be the adminstratix then you have to get all her distributees (meaning anyone that has a right to inherit) to waive their rights to wanting to be the adminstrator. Its an annoying form they have to fill out. You will also be required to present the original death certificate to the court along with receipts showing that all her funeral expenses were paid for (California may have different requirements). You will also have to list all assets she has (insurance policies, stocks, pensions, bank accounts, lawsuits, etc) and whether or not she ever received public assistance. You will probably have to name every child of hers, any living brothers or sisters of hers, any grandchildren, cousins, aunts, uncles, or parents of hers that are living. They would technically all be entitled to collect. But in order to save time and sanity the best way to do it is to just pick a family member (either your mom or yourself) to be the adminstratrix and then have only your grandmother's other children or if your grandfather is alive waive their rights. It keeps things simple like that. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Colonix. Turn back now or forever hold your peace.
Nrvsbride replied to Maura's topic in Random Thoughts
I didn't poop yesterday. Nor today. Hmmm....I'm supposed to up my dosage tomorrow so maybe I will see something tomorrow? Maura I don't mind the taste of the tea its just annoying for me b/c I get home late like 8ish, then I ran to the gym and get back like 10ish, then I shower, and then I eat dinner (I know its so bad to eat that late but I have no other choice) and then its usually 11is or 12 and I am exhausted and just want to go to bed but here I am waiting for the water to boil to take the tea. Then I have to wait for the tea to cool off so I don't burn my tongue, etc. And no I haven't noticed anything different. Nothing gross or weird like on the website. But I heard that if that does happen it happens towards the end of the first month and not at the beginning so we'll see. I'm excited for everyone to start it so they can tell me their experiences with it. -
