  1. Thanks Christine! Btw were you able to find the article on Napa? Should I try scanning and e-mailing it to you? -Glenda
  2. Hi Girls, I wanted to do these for my SDT which I saw in a Martha wedding mag. Save-the-Date Ribbon I really, really love them but if I do this then I can't figure out how I would give people more info about DW and a website. Do you think that along with this I could include a small note card that includes a website address and any other minimal details I need to give? I figure I'll put as much info on the website, but I still do need to let my guests know that the wedding is a DW. -Glenda: feedback:
  3. I was thinking of doing this too, but I think it could get pricey. Plus it may be an inconvenience for people to pack in their luggage on the way back. But I do love them though. Hmmm...we will all have to figure it out: confused:
  4. OOh Amy you so have to do this!! It sounds like so much fun. I want to do this. Does anyone know of anything like this in Cabo? It sounds absolutely perfect and I think guests will love and appreciate it. -Glenda
  5. Natasha I am so glad you started this thread b/c I was going to start one today asking people if money wasn't an issue would they still have had a DW. But now that you started this thread I can see that most of you were so happy with your decision. And of course I have a question after the long line of questions get answered. For those of you that had DJs at the reception: Did the DJ have up to date music or was it very limited in selection? I have fears of hearing "cotton eye joe" or "macarena" at my wedding. -Glenda
  6. Welcome Jen and congratulations on your engagement! There are a lot of nice places to have a destination wedding so it really will come down to preference. Start looking at different resorts in different countries and then decide which country you like. Once you choose that, we should be able to help you narrow down resorts in the area. Some things to think about: 1. Is traveling far a factor in your decision? 2. Do you want to have it in a country you have visited before or are you willing to try something new? 3. Is cutting down costs a huge factor in your decision? Some great places to start looking are Mexico, Dominican Republic, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Aruba. Good luck with the planning and let us know how we can help! -Glenda
  7. I love that song, I say you do it, who cares? It's too pretty not to use. -Glenda
  8. Hi Marissa, welcome to the forum!! Bermuda is so exciting. My friend goes there every year on a cruise and loves it. Where are you having the reception? Can you post some pics of the place, we always love to see new places. -Glenda
  9. Ann these are so cute!! I think I am def going to get them. When I do I will post a pic to show everyone. Thanks for the idea. -Glenda
  10. No actually their names were Annette Roseland and Brian Call. Also have you ever seen the JC Penny ads in the bridal magazines? The ones with the LeAnn Rhymes wedding? I think she had it in a vineyard also. It's so pretty!!! -Glenda
  11. Welcome to the board Jason! Love it when I see the guys on the board. The photographers on the board are great and I am sure they are all willing to work with you so that your pictures will reflect your artistic personality. Good luck with all the planning! -Glenda
  12. Ann these are so cute!! Thanks for the links. Ok Christine it's Modern Bride Magazine the June/July 2006 issue. A blonde model with an ocean background is on it. The article is call A NAPA CELEBRATION pages 162-165. I don't know if they post articles on brides.com/modern bride. If you can't find it let me know and I will figure it out a way to get it to you. Hope this helps. -Glenda
  13. Welcome! Good luck with your planning. Can't wait to hear when you get engaged. -Glenda
  14. Darn I wish I brought it with me. I will have to wait until I go home to tell you which issue it is. But don't worry I promise to do it tonight b/c I want you to see it. I'm so excited for your wedding!! They had an expensive wedding planner but it's great b/c you can totally copy any of their ideas for free. YAY!! -Glenda
  15. When I get home from work I will figure out how to send it to you. Maybe I can scan it and e-mail it to you. -Glenda
  16. Those are so cute and btw I was totally thinking of you last night b/c I was going through my old Modern Bride's and came across a bride who had her wedding in Napa and did her whole decor in bordeaux and I thought of your beautiful sash etc. Let me know if you want the article (assuming you haven't already seen it) -Glenda
  17. Thanks for the info Sherri. I guess I can't do the rosaries then since the borrowed is supposed to be borrowed from a bride and the old is supposed to be something from the bride's family. hmmm... -Glenda
  18. I like the blue flip flops idea. Does it have to be true blue? Like American flag blue? Or could I get away with doing baby blue or turqoise? -Glenda
  19. Welcome!! How exciting to be newly engaged! The benefit of an AI is that your guests will have an idea before hand of how much they need to save up and it also makes everyone feel included so that there is never a situation where a lot of people go eat at an expensive restaurant but some of your guests feel that they can't afford it. But if you and your guests like variety then you don't need to stay at an all-inclusive. The Hilton and the Sheraton are very pretty and are not all inclusive. Some of the all-inclusives include Dreams and the RIU. You should defenitly look into what's beneficial for your guests and then take it from there. -Glenda
  20. Welcome! RM is gorgeous and there is so much information on this site that will be of help to you. -Glenda
  21. Natasha these are great!! You look so beautiful! Sorry to get off topic but what was the weather like in Nov? -Glenda
  22. I really have not a clue but my FI's grandfather died and I would like to find out if he has rosary beads that I could borrow to wear around my hand with my boquet. Other than that not a clue. I mean what do people get as blue? -Glenda
