Ok I know my wedding is a million years away but: For the past few months I have seen a Romona Keveza gown in every bridal magazine. I had cut out the pic to save for when I went dress shopping. I love this gown but everytime they have a model in it she is facing sideways and I can never really see what the gown looks like in front. So of course I started looking for the pic that I saved and now I can't find it. I am so mad at myself. I went on her website and the gown is not pictured there. So weird b/c I think it is a fairly newer gown if it is being used in recent issues of bridal magazines. I have tried googling it and everything else I could think of but no luck. I was hoping one of you professional googlers like Anny who is always able to find everything could help me. It is a long gown with a somewhat full skirt. On the top part of the dress it looks like there is flowers coming from one side of the neck diagonally to the other side. Please help! -Glenda

Second Wedding Questions??????
Nrvsbride replied to TMELTON's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I know the place is gorgeous but I'm sorry I don't know how the weddings work there. But there are a couple of girls getting married there and Anny is honeymooning there and I am sure they will be able to help you out. Worse comes to worse you ask Tammy (the host) and she should be able to get you some information. Did you try doing a search on the resort? I think I have seen information on this resort's wedding. Let me see if I can find it for you... -Glenda -
Shipping your luggage??? Has anyone ever done this?
Nrvsbride replied to destinationbride07's topic in Honeymoon Forum
Are those the bags that are airpacked tight so that everything you put in them kind of collapses or something. And you put all this stuff in the bag and then it just looks flat? If we are talking about the same ones then it is crazy how they do that. I forget how you take stuff out, I think you have to wet it or something like that. -Glenda -
reasons why a DW can be cheaper?

I'm just a practical person and to me $70,000 is a down payment on a house or condo not cold pasta at a wedding. -Glenda -
Bringing your ring?
Nrvsbride replied to Shelley's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Darnit that is one of the things I keep forgetting to do is insure my ring. I keep putting it off b/c I keep paying for other things. I rarely wear my ring, I am always scared to lose it. I have "lost" it twice. Once in a public restroom where thank god this nice girl returned it to me. Another time I took it off and put in the change section of my wallet. It's like who does that? I don't even know why I did that. I am so scared now that I just keep it in the stupid box. I only wear it when I see my FI b/c I feel like he will feel hurt if I don't wear it. I know I have to get used to it but it's so hard for me. Especially since I'm always on the train, in court, running around like a chicken without a head, I would be terrified to lose it. -Glenda -
I was about to say Mandy Moore is not married! LOL. -Glenda

HAHA! Actually it's a guy cousin and he makes over 3 million dollars a year. He actually made this comment to his mother but a year ago when he visited Cabo. My aunt is very cheap and now she is blabbing to anyone that will listen that cabo is so expensive, and that I am rude for having my wedding in such an expensive city. Ummm hello we live in NYC? -Glenda

That is very cute, thanks for posting Christine! -Glenda

Oh I don't know people who have million dollar weddings either. This girl is Persian and her father owns an oil company. Her husband is very wealthy too. They are on a league all on their own. They got some famous Persian band from cali who cost $150,000. And their videographer (who happens to be her husband's family company) had the kinds of cameras they have on movie sets. It was ridiculous. -Glenda -
Tiffany Themed Wedding
Nrvsbride replied to Nrvsbride's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Edyta I had seen it that was actually my favorite one out of all the pics you had posted in the other thread. I spoke to my friend Amanda last night and told her about my idea. Well it turns out that her best friend does PR for Tiffany's and she could get me the bags. Isn't that crazy? I mean I guess it would be weird to have bags with the name Tiffany on it. I think I will play around with this idea for awhile until I get bored and then start bugging you guys for ideas on another theme. LOL -Glenda -
reasons why a DW can be cheaper?
Nrvsbride replied to jthrasher's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Umm I recently went to a pretty nice wedding (nothing spectacular just the usual stuff) and the bride told me it cost her $180,000. I almost passed out. My other friend's wedding cost her over a million dollars (granted that was a spectacular extravaganza and she had over 650 guests). The average wedding here in the suburbs is like $80,000. And those weddings are usually friday night or sunday day. If you want sat night here you are looking at $250-$300 a plate (with bear minimums). I don't even want to talk about what it costs to get married in Manhattan because I will pass out. -Glenda -

I am not having my wedding at RIU but I did book Juan and I booked him a year and half in advance and he told me he is already booking up a lot of dates for 2008 so if you do want to use him you should jump on that. His work is amazing. -Glenda

Bringing your ring?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I remember reading a couple of reviews on tripadvisor in which people said their valuables were stolen from the safe. (I think it was money). They said it was obvious someone from the hotel staff used a card to come into the room and was somehow able to hack into their safe. I can't remember what resort it was but I will see if I can find the review. Sorry to sound like a bitch, I'm just trying to look out for everybody. -Glenda -

When you want to reply to something you hit "POST REPLY" on the bottom left hand side of the screen. Then you type in your message and hit SUBMIT REPLY (the first grey button, next to the PREVIEW POST button). If you want to respond specifically to someone's post then you go to the box where their message is and you click on the "QUOTE" button. This will insert their post into a new message and then you add whatever comment you like and again click on SUBMIT REPLY. I don't know if that makes sense or not, but I hope it cleared it up a little. -Glenda -
Hmmm...maybe I should just have you incorporate it into their rates so they think that transportation is included. Honestly that is all I ever hear everyone complain about is transportation. My one stupid cousin who went to cabo told my entire family that the trip from the airport to the hotel was like $85. So now everyone is using this as their determining factor on whether or not to go to cabo. I want them to believe that cabo is cheaper than it really is. It's all about perception. -Glenda

What Are Your Wedding Colors?!
Nrvsbride replied to LEIGH's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I think lime and turquoise look fabulous. A lot of people suggested to me that I do turquoise and fuschia but I have never seen a pic of it done so I just don't know how I feel about it. -Glenda -

Love the orange! And I just read in a bridal magazine that orange and brown are so in right now. -Glenda -
OMG this is the best news!! Amy I am so excited that we will be having our weddings at the same time! I didn't even think about the fact that we will have off for our anniversay every year. Thanks for pointing that out. Doesn't it seem like our weddings are a million years away? I feel like the day will never come! -Glenda

What Are Your Wedding Colors?!
Nrvsbride replied to LEIGH's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
My favorite color is white and I always wanted an all white wedding. I wanted my BM's to wear white as well (even though everyone yells at me when I tell them this). I was just scared to do all white at a beach wedding b/c I was nervous that there would not be enough color. Sarah is also doing all white with some splashes of color. How about adding turquoise or fuschia? Those are bright colors that may give it some kick. I don't know if you read my thread but I was also debating doing a Tiffany (the jewelery store) themed wedding. This way I would use white and the signature aqua blue. -Glenda
