Ooh I just thought of something. Awhile back Juan e-mailed me and told me that he personally thinks that the round chinese lanterns are the best for lighting purposes. Would you mind finding out how much these costs? I think Rebecca did these and had to pay the Dreams for the wiring. Could you see how much Dreams will charge for the wiring and whether or not they have some to rent or if we have to get them on our own. Also b/c I have never been to Dreams I am not to familiar with all the different locations to have your reception. Juan also recommended that I do my reception in the place nearest to the gazebo. I don't know where that is. He couldn't remember the name, does anyone know what he is referring to? If you know Sarah would you mind taking a pic of the spot? Sorry I just realized that everyone is asking you to find out so much stuff. If your not to swamped it would be great, but if it's too inconvenient don't even worry about it. Thankfully your FI knows everyone!! If you can get a good deal I would go for the real ones, but I agree with Angie that if the Michaels ones look good then I would get them since you will just be mixing them in with real flowers anyway, I sincerely doubt anyone will notice the difference. -Glenda

Anny I am so sorry but I don't recall what time the sun goes down. I've been to so many places in Mexico that is impossible for me to remember each locales sunset. Is there a website that tells you the approximate time for sunset in July? I feel bad that I can't help you out but honestly I have no idea and I don't want to give you a time that is wrong. -Glenda

Oh Andrea I am so sorry that you are going through all this. But actually you are not alone. Tammy M does not have her family going either and there are some other girls whose closest friends can't make it for a number of reasons. It really sucks that none of your sisters are going. Is it b/c of financial reasons? Could you afford to pay for them? As far as friends go, we have all learned that something about DW makes people all grumpy and grouchy. I know it hurts that your MOH does not seem interested right now, but I promise you that people do come around. And if worse comes to worse you have to look on the bright side...you don't want anyone at your wedding that is going to bring negativity. Christine I can't believe you started this thread b/c I was going to start one 2 weeks ago to tell you about the wine charms. I went to a wedding last year and they gave these as a favor and put them in a little pouch. They were so cute and everyone loved them. I always wanted to mention these to you but I always forget! Honestly even though guys can be opinionated at random times about the weirdest things, I really don't think anyone's FI is going to burst out with "I can't believe you got a cowneck, don't you know those are so over? I mean that was so Reem Acra circa 95". Seriously, unless your FI is a designer himself he probably has no clue about silhoutte styles and will think you are the prettiest thing in the world on that day no matter what you wear. With the exception of some, most guys are pretty easy to please. And if he knows you love the dress, then he will love it too. So I say pick it out w/o him and give him a nice surprise. And remember it's not the whole hair done and makeup that gives it the wow factor it's the excitement of it actually being the day you get married. -Glenda

I've been to Cancun in March, August, and January but never in July. But every single time it has been nice and not rained. And I have stayed there each time for an entire week. It was the hottest in August, then March, and it was cooler in March but still warm throughout the day. -Glenda

How come you guys are so artsy and crafty? I can't do any of this stuff. This is why my wedding is going to cost me so much b/c I am going to have to pay people to do it. LOL. I can only come up with ideas I can never execute them. -Glenda

I have never stayed there so I can't say but I think I read on their site that with some villas you can only have a max number of people over. So for example if the villa sleeps 14, you can only have 14 people their max (even if they are just their for a dinner and not to stay overnight). I could be wrong about this but hopefully once they contact you they will answer all your questions for you. Good luck with everything. -Glenda
