  1. here's a collage I did of a few of the kids (it was for one of the grandparents photo albums)
  2. that's what my Mom did, just after Easter and the little girls were so happy to be in pretty dresses. They all danced and twirled all night.
  3. that makes sense, what about making a compromise on the elopment thing? Do something local with everyone you want to be there (a nice dinner out to celebrate and do your legal ceremony) and then go to a symbolic ceremony just the two of you-that could be really romantic.
  4. you don't have to legally get married in Mexico, then you wouldn't have to jump through so many hoops. Is that an option for you?
  5. sandbags are a good trick, I hope your house doesn't flood. Glad the dogs are enjoying it though.
  6. she should have her DL match. Did she have a name change recently?
  7. my mom found dresses at TJ Maxx, they were really cute and all the little girls use them for play dresses now. Actually they also had red flowers on them, so I think all the girls wore them for their Christmas dresses too. I would look around at department stores or even Marshall's type stores. Oh and I think quite a few girls (Sarah and Julie for sure) got their girls dresses at Burlington Coat Factory.
  8. I sent out STD's and felt like it did help people plan for the wedding. Can you discuss this with Lawrence? Possibly make sure he is on board with everything and that he is comfortable with you sending them. Use the whole, what if someone close to you was planning a DW wouldn't you want some notice to start saving to see if you could go.

But let's look forward to your wedding first!!!
  10. that makes sense about the names, okay well then they are perfect and it just makes me sad I can't go. We will have to do something fun for our renunion in 2009 instead.
  11. I always tried to lose weight on my own but like Leigh said until I joined WW I didn't realize how badly I really was eating. Also a pound a week is healthy and normal. Especially if you don't have a whole lot to lose. Those people on the weight loss shows are losing enourmous amounts of weight because they are working out like 3 times a day and being monitored 24 hours a day.
  12. Tara another thing about the desert is that the ground literally cannot accept the water, it just flows on top of it. I have always tried to explain this to my students here and they just don't get it. That is part of the reason for floods. Jamy and other LA girls, do you remember the El Nino year, it was my senior year 1999 we had so much rain that year, there was constant flooding. LA and all of So Cal was drenched for the entire winter and no one knew what to do with it. I had just moved there and I thought it was funny that so many people didn't know what to do in weather because I lived in snow my whole life.
  13. Amy those are beautiful! Great job...my only suggestion is the place where you have your parents names is off center. Otherwise those are amazing! You did a fabulous job
  14. Tammy that is so cute, that Steve reads to Jackson each night. Glad the notes were a fun surprise!
  15. Welcome, I got married in Napa and am familiar with the SF area, so many great places to shoot weddings.
  16. I say do that Friday then your DH and you will always have to go some where overnight for your anniversary. That's what we did. Our dating anniversary was the day after our wedding day so now we get to celebrate for 2 days!
  17. I used wedding window and I really liked it. My DH is a techie guy who can write HTML but I am not at all, so it was the best for both of us. It was super user friendly and it had features to make it look very creative and professional for people who visited.
  18. Welcome to the forum, I loved seeing the brides and grooms in the canal after their weddings when I used to live there. Its a beautiful hotel and you will really enjoy it.
  19. oh I have to chime in here...so my school who never gets out early got out, but let me tell you that the 3 inches turned to rain by the time fairfax would have released their students so my kids were in bigger danger getting to leave at the height of the storm. Fairfax gets out for every little thing and the kids are snotty and bratty for expecting to always get out of school. For those of you who don't know where I live, Fairfax is the next district to mine, it basically surrounds my district
  20. no Tammy I didn't have any issues, it was all cardstock paper. The church was actually really hot and so everyone was using them my parents told me. I don't remember seeing everyone, my attention was pretty much towards my DH the entire ceremony, oh and the the sweltering heat, I was dripping by the time it was over.
  21. I have tried to type in multiple people like you can in a PM but it doesn't work for gifts.
  22. I think Angela did something affordable but I think it was embroidered. Also I know that a few girls did it themselves with Iron on transfers
  23. I bet you were better than you think Leigh. I will probably go back to WW after the baby it worked well when I was doing it.
  24. For Mrs. I would like to nominate TammyB, through all her ups and downs she is always there for everyone and is so supportive and I just love her!!! For BTB I think that Shelley and Glenda because they are amazing mods and are both going to impress us with some awesome pictures this year (right girls) when they settle on their plans.
