  1. yes we noticed quite a lot of different words when we were there for our honeymoon. Our guide at Dunn's river gave us a little lesson. A few things I remember they say Ochie for Ocho Rios hmm there was something else that I thought was really funny but I don't remember right now. I will ask my DH

But a sight to see if you have time. Hoover Dam is pretty awesome if you haven't been there.

I can see how there really were just a few brides in the beginning. the goal is to limit the # of threads on the same topic. We don't mind people starting new threads, its more that its tiring to see the same topic started over and over again. Like has anyone ever made boarding pass STD's...well the answer is yes and there are like 10 different threads on it. We do clean out the Chit Chat corner every so often so post away in those areas and feel free to bring back old threads, its nice to remember back when some of us were still brides to be!
  4. I had a Friday wedding and we were able to do a group event the next day and other people, like my dad and stepmom who really needed a little weekend away, went to another hotel to have a romantic vacation of their own. So honestly I would prefer a Friday or Sunday wedding. You can do something just before or just after the wedding with your guests and then some people can stay-some people will go, some will come early and have a little vacation too
  5. what do you mean ok? Those look great, congrats on finishing them. I bet your guests will really love them
  6. Beautiful photos Jill, how have you been? I feel like I haven't seen you around here in forever. Did you and your DH ever move-oh wait did he come home yet? Sorry hijack, back to St. John
  7. I can't specifically recall anyone using her, I have heard of her and don't ever remember hearing anything bad so that is also a good thing
  8. great post Glenda, thanks for doing this and Newbies feel free to search and PM other members for more info, at some point we all have a hard time repeating ourselves in similar threads constantly.
  9. the Cirque show at the MGM grand is awesome. If you have time you should go into San Diego, its a beautiful city and so many fun things to do

A friend of mine found a nice local park that was very close to the ocean. You might consider calling the parks department.
  11. we have three TA's on our forum, you can PM any of them and if they can't help you they can give you some contacts. TA Dina TA Jennifer and the host (Tammy)

I've read the review on Vanessa, and saw there was a post from Cancun studios. Most of what I've found is on Matt and Elizabeth. I haven't yet heard back from Claudia as to whether she is available. yes it can be overwhelming at times, but I am not sure what you mean by outdated, since the majority of reviews are from just last year. I think you would be happy with any of your choices as I have heard good things about all of those people. Also you could always PM the people who reviewed those particular photogs and get more specific info.
  13. for all the newbies who might be looking for a TA? I have noticed a lot of TA questions lately and thought I would remind everyone we have three TA's who are vendors on this forum. Tammy our Host is also a TA. TA Tammy is amazing with Mexico weddings and in fact was a Dreams Cabo bride herself. Please PM them if you have specific questions or would like to request information from them
  14. Happy Birthday Tammy, I hope you have a fantastic day and that Cain does something wonderful for you today! (hint hint Cain-something sparkly!)
  15. oh how fun, I will have to get playing with some of my favorite pics
  16. So we had an ultrasound yesterday (1/2 and guess what, we are having a girl. My DH was a little freaked out but I think he will eventually be wrapped around her fingers and love having a girl. here is our little girl at 20 weeks. We are halfway to having her. http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p...7/SCAN0002.jpg Her name will be Ainsleigh Madelynn.
  17. oh that's better now Leigh, and I am on the school network.
  18. I love the new site and I love the little circle counter so you know how much longer you have. the pics do load a little slower but since they are so big its understandable. I think the site looks great and I can't wait to see more pics...
  19. Jackie, I bet you could do it, personally I would make them, I have faith in you, and yes the fabric glue our iron on hem (stich witchery) will work for this particular situation.
  20. oh my earlier post didn't post...I believe there is a fern gully near Ocho Rios, I think it would be a really cool unique location to do the TTD session
  21. gosh I wish I would have seen that through those other places when I did my photo share, it worked out okay the way I did it, but o'well
  22. I swear I don't promote anything from Wal-Mart on a regular basis, in fact I haven't been in a wal-mart in about 4 years, on purpose. Okay besides that. I was looking around for the cheapest photo printing prices and saw this awesome thing walmart has for people who want to do photo sharing. They call them group rooms, and let's be honest there are wal-marts in almost every town and their prices are pretty cheap for reprints. I think their photo department is set up through snapfish so its just as easy to navigate. So for those of you planning to do photo sharing here's a nice option. http://photos.walmart.com/creategroupinfo/t_=16271529
  23. hmm that might be an option for you right now then, then you could go somewhere really cool and romantic.
  24. a lot of Carribean Islands have AI' specifically Sandals that I know of. I don't really understand why your families would be upset about you getting legally married at home? I would say a majority of girls (and guys) on this forum did that. Your issues with the resort is a whole other issue, if you are concerned you need to bring up your concerns with the WC there and if they can't give you the answers you need, I would recommend hiring an outside WC or consider another resort.
  25. I know I got to that point a few times during my planning. I would sit down with him and talk to him about this.
