  1. I dvr'd it, I will have to watch it when I get home. Holly has always wanted to have a baby with him, hmm I thought they were getting married what happened to that?
  2. we did our formal photos outside in the church's courtyard area, it was pretty. As for the inside unfortunately since most church's have pretty strict rules about decor you can't do a whole lot. I would have her talk to the church first and see what they would allow and then go from there.
  3. I know I was so sad for her, it seems like she really wanted a beautiful wedding at least she died on a really happy day. I can't imagine how her new DH must feel. Sorry to post and make everyone sad tonight.
  4. you two make such a beautiful couple, honestly you must have been a photographer's dream. Everything really looked beautiful!
  5. Bride dies during first dance at wedding Heart disease claims woman at her own ‘Big Fat Greek Wedding’ The Associated Press updated 5:07 p.m. ET, Sun., Feb. 10, 2008 DAVIE, Fla. - Kim Sjostrom wanted a real-life version of the film "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," which played in the background as friends fixed her hair and makeup before her own marriage ceremony. But less than an hour after she and Teddy Efkarpides were wed, Sjostrom crumpled in her husband's arms during a Greek song that means "Love Me." At 36, Sjostrom was dead from heart disease. The wedding had became a project at Davie Elementary School, where Sjostrom taught first grade. Fellow teachers provided the wedding gown, the flowers and decorations. One of them, an ordained minister, performed the ceremony. "It was perfect for her," said Dominic Church, the minister friend. Sjostrom carried blue and white flowers during the ceremony — the colors of the Greek flag — as she exchanged vows with Efkarpides, a 43-year-old carpenter and Navy veteran. They had met three years to the day before the Jan. 19 wedding. During the couple's first dance, Sjostrom complained of being lightheaded. Efkarpides thought his wife, a diabetic, needed sugar, but she collapsed. Wedding guests, paramedics and doctors at a nearby hospital were unable to revive her. She had a previous cardiac episode in her 20s and was a poster child _ literally _ for juvenile diabetes, relatives and friends said. Efkarpides recalled seeing the poster featuring her on New York subways. He consoles himself by reading a list of "101 Reasons Why I Love You" that Sjostrom gave him their first Christmas together. "Number 1. You make me smile." No. 98 is especially difficult: "You're the one I want to grow old with." Copyright 2008 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. 6. Will only wanted to get big boxes so they are all really heavy, but yes the move is so soon, I am excited. The townhouse is about 10 minutes away, so we will get one larger uhaul and take one (hopefully). We have accumulated so much stuff for some reason.
  7. the 23rd, but DH is taking two grad classes so I have to pack everything and he and his friends will move it all. I only have energy to pack on the weekends, but I got a ton done this weekend.

  9. Since we are moving I won't make these for V-day since I packed all my baking stuff, but if anyone tries these let me know how they are-they look so yummy! Peanut Butter Blossoms Ingredients: 48 HERSHEY'S KISSES Brand Milk Chocolates 1/2 cup shortening 3/4 cup REESE'S Creamy Peanut Butter 1/3 cup granulated sugar 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar 1 egg 2 tablespoons milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt Granulated sugar Directions: 1. Heat oven to 375°F. Remove wrappers from chocolates. 2. Beat shortening and peanut butter in large bowl until well blended. Add 1/3 cup granulated sugar and brown sugar; beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into peanut butter mixture. 3. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar; place on ungreased cookie sheet. 4. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately press a chocolate into center of each cookie; cookie will crack around edges. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. About 4 dozen cookies.
  10. that is exactly what we got and a couple of the photogs on here sent us to mpix. Sarah actually has used them a lot and they have great quality and amazing prices.
  11. TA Jennifer is one of our vendors on the forum, she is an DW and Jamaica expert. Just go to the private message area and sent one to TA Jennifer. When I was first planning I looked around the DC area and honestly didn't find anyone that really knew enough about DW's, then my great friend Amy got me hooked on this forum.
  12. I doubt the church would allow parasols. I got married in a church and had three altar arrangements at the front of the church (on the altar) and then made program fans for all my guests. We didn't decorate any other way because the church was really pretty by itself so we didn't entirely need extra decor, but honestly the church didn't allow it.
  13. Jenn you looked beautiful. I am so happy it all turned out well for you! What a great day it looks like you two had.
  14. heck no, I would register for two sets for you and one set for each of your spare rooms. Register for everything you see you want because in the end you get a % off if you want to buy something on your own and trust me you will get lots of gift cards and with that % off at the end you can get a lot of stuff, but you can only get the % off if its on your registry.
  15. Have you ever come back from a vacation totally happy and thought gosh I should write a review. No! But if you are pissed you want the world to know. Of course there are bad reviews, a lot of people are incredibly picky and sometimes a persons experience is crap but you chose the hotel for a reason so I am sure it will be fine. ps. your caps lock was obviously on when typing, it makes it really hard to read when you type like that and proper forum etiquette would say to not do that.
  16. oh saved by the bell, I loved that show, sometimes in the summer I sit and watch it for hours in the morning on TBS. I cannot tell you guys how happy I am its friday. I have had such a long week for some reason.
  17. what kind of tropical flowers? You will need to be more specific. I think you can finy many flowers that will look great. Anything with pink or orange tones would look nice.
  18. you could pm anacgarcia, she is starting a business for invites, maybe she can give you some ideas.
  19. I got mine at TJ Maxx, they were so cute and the girls are all still wearing theirs, they all wore them at their Christmas Dresses.
  20. I like being on a soap box with you and Alyssa, Glenda.

I've never understood how people could be single issue voters in the past, but now that I am one, I understand. I would never advise others to vote on a single issue. It seems like people have stopped talking about the war and forgotten that it's still happening. I want the United States to start talking about it again and really look at it. Hmm I don't think anyone has forgotten about it, in fact that is the single biggest issue in this election. I am just simply saying that Obama can't really say he will just pull troops when he doesn't really know if that is possible. I don't have a problem with that being your most important issue, but there are other issues like the unprecendented recession during war (that never happens, war is supposed to get us out of recession). Anyway what I guess I am really trying to explain is that, until any of these people get into the white house they really can't promise that they will get us out of the war.

This makes him seem somewhat insane because if you pull the facade off this administration it is in fact, completely insane. Having said all that, when it comes time to vote I'm a one issue voter this time. I'm going to vote for the candidate that will end the war as soon as possible. I'm pulling for Obama. I feel as if nothing is more important than ending wars in this world and standing in opposition to those who start them. I have to be honest here and tell you this is exactly what I fight to teach my kids about. I think that only looking at one issue is not fair, especially this issue. You have to be honest with yourself and realize that as soon as whomever is elected and finds out all the details that we the american public are not privvy to they will realize that pulling out right away is not going to happen. And that being said Obama might have said that in the past but he is not sticking to that hard and fast anymore. I really have to urge you to look at the person who can manage our country, internally and externally. If its Obama than fine I will gladly support that but don't say that he is the only one that will get us out of this war when he can't truly promise that.
  23. I know we have lists around here somewhere, did you try searching for them?
