Rachel, I am so sorry that happened at OSU. I spoke with my dad this afternoon and he said that the bikers were out before when a soldiers funeral in Reno was being protested by these people, so he assumed that the bikers would be out again for the funeral of Brianna. I guess the people of the church are only planning to send women and when they were there before they said that the police were doing nothing to protect them which is why they are so pissed at Reno.

Tammy I love the cabinets in your kitchen Rebecca your new place is so cozy, I love the windows and high ceilings, and the staircase is awesome. Jen fantastic job on the redux Yari your pool is gorgeous! I think I got them all (I am sure I missed someone, but you girls are some great decorators)

The police have issued a description and some details about the possible suspect but at this point its very general and could be a lot of people, like drives a large truck or SUV (umm everyone in Reno drives a truck or SUV). I know that they are working on this case day and night and truly believe in the RPD and know they will find this person. Like Jessica and I mentioned, the hardest thing for the people in town is that this is not something that has ever happened in Reno, its a very small town in many ways and people are like family there. Half the streets are named after families that are still there, weird I know but its my home and I am so devastated that someone could terrorize my hometown.

Angela, they are protesting because they say the police are corrupt and because Nevada, Reno specifically is a sinful place and this is the retrobution (spelling?)

Jessica, its incredibly sad to see Reno turn into a place like this, I am so happy the community is sticking together and trying to help find this person. My parents have kept me updated on this whole situation and it makes me so sad that the little town I grew up in has turned into a place that has people like this. Honestly its nothing like Reno, Reno/Sparks is a great community to grow up in, very safe and its just shocking. Jessica, please use Campus Escort at night, and they said that the second one the girl fought back and he ran away (well really the first one, since the actual first one is not for sure linked). I really hope the police are able to help the family mourn peacefully.

I don't know how many of you know about this but there has been some serious criminal behavior going on in my hometown. It has gotten to a very scary point, as about a month ago a girl was abducted, raped and murdered. This is possibly related to three other rapes. So the thing that is totally insane is that crazy church is planning to protest her funeral because they say that the police are corrupt and incomptent. Now I am all for free speech, but these people have protested soldiers funerals, were planning to protest Heath Ledger's funeral, and now are protesting this poor innocent girls funeral. I mean her family has been through enough. I cannot even tell you all how much this bothers me that these people haven't been stopped. I have to talk to my dad about this but I assume the police department plans to do some crowd control to make sure these people don't bother the family (my dad is a police officer in Reno). Anyway, I just wanted to vent about this.

cute monograms girls...I used my monogram to tie everything in my wedding together. I used it for table names, invites, stamps, program fans, website, OOT bag letter, etc. etc. Seriously anything I could put it on I did. Sarah I love the layout of your house, it seems so open and unique. I miss big houses, houses here are so small, unless you are independently wealthy and can afford a huge home.

we actually took a $7 bottle of wine to my bro's for Christmas, my DH loves the wine (and is a self-proclaimed wine snob) but to him it was just a bottle to take for dinner. My brother is also a wine snob but they all enjoyed it. I agree its more about the person who brought and whether or not they were being cheap in the thought process or if they just actually like that wine.

Catherine, the parents are just as bad with the high school students. When I was in elem. school I was one of the too smart for my own grade kids, and you know I went through the not wanting to do the work phase because I felt like the work was too easy for me. Have you ever considered making him "special" and giving him different assignments, I know its really hard as a teacher to do that because it makes more work for you, however if our ultimate goal is to help a child become a good productive person in life, I guess we have to sacrifice, hell we sacrifice decent paychecks and various other things to teach right. Let me know if you want to throw some ideas off me. I know we teach different grades, but I teach all "honors' students so I know how frustrating this can be since I always have the more intellegent ones who get bored with the other kids.

Tammy I will answer this once I am unpacked, but I really love my living room decor, but recently we redid our bedroom and I love all the art work I picked out for it and our new bed. I can take pictures once we actually move though.

its funny how people from the east coast think of the dessert as being beautiful and green, of course the mountains are beautiful but you take it for granted when you are from there. Sometimes I miss it, but I do love all the trees and grass and the fact that I can get plants to grow on the east coast.
