Michelle I admire you for giving everything to your daughter. The Duggars do seem to make it work but you are right its not for everyone. Everyone has to have their family in the way that works for them.

Michelle out of curiosity have you ever watched their show. They all seem incredibly happy and Michelle Duggar has mentioned more than once she realizes that her fertile years are coming to a close and she and her husband don't actively try for pregnancy (in fact if you read the article she didn't even realize she was pregnant). The had a miscarriage early on in their marriage after she took birth control for the first time and so for her that is not an option. I am pretty sure they are not overpopulating Arkansas, pretty sure that Arkansas has plenty of room for them. All the children have been asked if they will have a lot of kids as well and most of them have said no they will not, in fact the son who just got married said they do not want as big of a family. The parents have taught all the kids to be financially smart, and to not go into debt with large families so while in most situations we think things like this are crazy with the Duggars I don't find it disgusting. Octomom on the other hand who is taking handouts from every direction that is disgusting.

I am a big fan, I try to watch it whenever I catch it. I personally would never have that many children but they do seem pretty well adjusted for that many children

Peggy, I am a little confused here, obviously you really enjoyed your wedding experience but seem to be pretty frustrated that Tammy was unable to get back to you on ONE occasion regarding your traveling. I guess my confusion is that in the professional world it would be impossible for Tammy or any other TA to make a living on just one client at a time, and not have a personal life. Tammy has two children, a husband, and a life outside of this forum-that you get to participate on for FREE. I feel like you have this sense of entitlement and while I get that all brides should have some sense of entitlement at some point we have to realize that its our day, not anyone else's "most important day of your life".

I teach high school, this will be my first year out of the classroom. I am going to be a teaching specialist this year, helping the teachers in the two buildings of the high school integrate technology into their classrooms. I also teach a virtual class. I have been teaching AP government for 3+ years now. Karen, I think you will be fine taking time off, most districts give you a certain amount of personal leave for the year, if that doesn't cover it you can take unpaid leave. then maybe you and your fi can take a honeymoon during a school break. I wouldn't even mention it in your interview. the only problem you could encounter is if that is a major testing time for your state.

I saw that about Lisa and her husband a while ago. I had no idea she has two older sons with Keith Sweat, but he has custody and won't sign a release for them to be on the show. I read that in my people magazine last week.
