  1. oh Ana-Maria, I am so incredibly sorry, that stinks, its hard to be away from your FI. I have a silly question for you, you mentioned that your job gives you medical insurance, but if you live in Canada why do you need health insurance if you get it free from the government? Did I miss that somewhere?
  2. oh thanks, I am almost positive we don't use that brand, but I will make sure the vet doesn't give us anything like that. Tammy you are so on top of keeping our furbabies safe, thanks.
  3. I thought it was national too, since I went to school in CA, but then when I moved I had to take the praxis. Drea are you still planning on nursing school or are you going to try and find a teaching job still? I keep hearing about all the budget cuts, it freaks me out to possibly move back there in a few years.
  4. Amy good for you, I don't plan on doing national boards but you never know. I need to finish my masters but pregnancy and life just really has put that on hold. In my district I don't know if its really worth it, the pay per year is not a whole lot for national boards, but they too will pay for you to go through it. Drea, the cset is only in CA actually the rest of the country pretty much uses the praxis, I passed the praxis my first time, so maybe I am a good test taker, perhaps I should consider the national boards.
  5. that is awesome, Alyssa's wedding is really coming together now.
  6. Amy his room is so cute, those are the colors we would have done if we were having a boy. Martha, I started wearing maternity clothes pretty quickly also, they are just more comfortable anyway. Thanks for all the compliments on my belly ladies, I am really in the home stretch now and in a week since the last appointment she still hasn't moved, so I think I will be scheduling a c-section. I went to Boston this weekend so my hubby and step-dad could go to the Red Sox/Yankee game, and I had a prenatal massage...ladies you have to get one, they are amazing, I haven't felt so relaxed and pampered in a while. We also went to the JFK museum and I wanted to share this photo my mom took of me, clearly I am getting huge because a girl stopped me on the subway (the T for those of you who know Boston) and asked me when I was due because according to her I must be having a 20lb baby.
  7. do you girls notice how many of our s/o would say our best feature is our ass...I find that so funny. And you girls all need to stop being so hard on yourselves, you are not chubby, fat, flabby...etc.
  8. it said the same thing for us last July and honestly it just rained a few of the afternoons for a while, only one day did it really downpour. The majority of the time it was beautiful.

  15. Frontier Airlines files for bankruptcy Low-fare carrier plans to keep running while it reorganizes The Associated Press updated 5:53 a.m. ET, Fri., April. 11, 2008 DENVER - Frontier Airlines Holdings Inc. has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, but unlike other airlines filing for bankruptcy in recent weeks, it plans to keep running while it reorganizes. The low-fare carrier said its filing Friday came after an unexpected attempt by its principal credit card processor to start withholding significant proceeds from the sale of Frontier tickets, which threatened to hurt Frontier’s liquidity. The Chapter 11 filing in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New York prevents the credit card processor from increasing its “holdback,†Frontier CEO Sean Menke said. “By filing for Chapter 11, we will now have the time and legal protection necessary to obtain additional financing and enhance our liquidity. Fortunately, we believe that we currently have adequate cash on hand to meet our operating needs while we take steps to further strengthen our company,†Menke said in a statement. Frontier, whose major hub is in Denver, has been affected as other airlines have by rising fuel costs and the credit crisis in financial markets. ATA Airlines, Skybus and Aloha Airgroup all have filed for bankruptcy recently, but Menke said Frontier’s reasons for doing so were different. “Unfortunately, our principal credit card processor very recently and unexpectedly informed us that, beginning on April 11, it intended to start withholding significant proceeds received from the sale of Frontier tickets,†he said. “This change in established practices would have represented a material change to our cash forecasts and business plan. Unchecked, it would have put severe restraints on Frontier’s liquidity and would have made it impossible for us to continue normal operations.†He said Frontier was prepared to litigate, if necessary. The creditor listed in bankruptcy court documents as having the largest general unsecured claim against Frontier by far was Wells Fargo, with $93.5 million. Frontier said it had fewer than 50 creditors. At the end of last year, Frontier said, it had assets of $98.3 million and debts of $92.2 million. A Frontier spokesman had said earlier this week the airline had “no concerns about bankruptcy†but added that it was working on strengthening its cash position. Last month, Frontier said it had agreed to sell four planes as it dealt with rising fuel costs. © 2008 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. 16. Congratulations Trisha and Shawn, I hope the day is perfect for you!
  17. oh that is so great, why would a dr choose to go into the profession just to treat people like crap. I say you never go back to the other guy.

Angela- So sorry that you had a scare, I spotted brown a few weeks ago and know how scary that can be. But surprisingly it is really common in early pregnancy. As for me, I am MISERABLE. My morning sickness has been horrible. I have all day nausea. It is almost to the point where I can barely function. My doctor gave me 2 different meds but they barely do anything. Baby is doing good though, we had an ultrasound last week and s/he has a strong heartbeat of 152BPM. I also bought a doppler on ebay and found the heartbeat pretty easily. I'll post a belly pic when it looks like something other than fat. oh sweetie, I had morning sickness so badly also, I am really sorry. I took Zofran twice a day for about 4 months. I was also in the hospital for dehydration in December, all I can say is stay as hydrated as you possibly can. Try to eat smaller meals and sleep when you need to. I also had spotting early on, it was so traumatic and emotional, I feel your first trimester pain, it does get better. I swear (everyone told me that but I didn't believe them), I promise you the 2nd trimester is much better, you get to feel the baby move, you get to find out what it is and you finally start to show so people don't think you have some crazy flu for four months.
  19. you girls are all funny about the pictures, my DH takes them for me every 4 weeks. Its interesting to look back now.
  20. Calia, thanks, I actually go to a yoga class that is taught by a doula who is all about natural stuff and already gave me a bunch of positions and such about turning her. Personally I totally don't care either way if I have a c-section or natural delivery. My hospital has the highest C-section rate in our area (40%) so I am totally prepared for a c-section. For me as long as she comes out safely and healthy I don't care which way it is (sunroof or the regular door)
  21. it was finally nice here, its been rainy and over cast for two weeks now. At home in Nevada we always had at least one snow storm in May or June, but never a blizzard.
