just got home from yoga and DH is channel surfing. I think I will be in bed pretty soon actually, I am a tired pregnant lady.

oh Glenda, I just sent all my wedding stuff to my mom's house, you totally could have used one of my dresses, do you want a wedding dress? If you do I will have her mail it to you. As for the wedding stuff. I don't think you need to have both a luncheon and something at James' parent house unless you make it simple. Also if you want to invite more people then you should do something simple at the in-laws house, but the rentals will cost a ton so see if there is anyway to avoid doing a bunch of rentals. A cocktail party sounds perfect, why do you need to feed everyone? Why can't you go to the mexican rest. with immediate family (parents and siblings type people-I know this will still be a lot of people but 90 people is a lot to pay for a lunch at a rest.) I will have to think of some other ideas, but my gf who did a backyard wedding spent more than I did on my wedding (double what I did) because of the rentals, so be really careful on that one...oh and are you stuck on that particular rest. it seems super expensive, and we did the "canned" music in our church ceremony and no one seemed to notice or care.

oh Alyssa I am so incredibly sorry, there are no words to give you in this situation but to know that you and your family are in my thoughts.

I would have to say my job is exactly what I envisioned doing as a kid, and honestly I know I make a difference in this world by teaching, that to me is pretty important. I spend a lot of time with my kids who are all seniors getting ready for college and I work with them at a pretty critical time in their lives. That being said I am not curing cancer, nor am I creating world peace, but whos to say that one of my students might be the one who does that one day...and I will know that somehow I touched their lives right...but as a gov. teacher I feel really strongly about helping my kids to be the best citizens of this country possible, to particpate, to be educated and give back and that is how I think I give back.

I would find it touching, I went to visit my aunt the morning of my wedding and put a bouquet of my wedding flowers at her nitch so that I felt like she was with me, I also had a charm from a necklace of hers tied around my bouquet, you know you have to do what works for you.

I will watch the weather and let you all know how I feel, Alyssa I will give you a call if I change my mind.

how cool! I got engaged there actually, it was so cool to see those pics it brought back memories of that day for me.

Honestly it will be sad, but its your wedding and if you feel that its something you want to have and will make you feel that your parents, especially your mom are with you then you should go for it!

hey girls, just wanted to let you know that its supposed to rain around here on Sunday and DH and I talked about it and he is nervous about me driving that far away in the rain, so I am thinking I will have to try another time, sorry. I am totally bummed I really wanted to meet all of you girls!

hmm good question, does BDW count as a hobby? I like to shop, but really just like to mall walk, (window shopping) If I had more time I would work on the many scrapbooks I need to finish, I used to be so good at them... I would love to get a little better with photography I also love to do yard work, planting flowers and creating a cool backyard environment

hmm that is a tough call, I would say that if it means a lot to you and that is the best way for you to have your mom with you, can you play it as a prelude, but not necessarily enter to it?

we used this but our minister read it and there was some pretty teary eyes in the audience...it was exactly what we wanted to say, but we didn't use it as vows.
