  3. wait seriously, $300...you could get 10 outfits at Vickie's for that...well not 10 but a lot of outfits for that...dang girl..anyway, I like the first outfit.
  4. Tammy posted this already http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t20253
  5. this is crazy, we are flying home in July with the baby, I hope Southwest doesn't start doing this..
  6. my girlfriends at work and I have been having little parties where we watch a few episodes, and then we are all going out to dinner and seeing the movie together, our boyfriends and husbands were rather excited that they didn't have to be dragged to this one.
  7. Leigh Miller is in San Diego and did BD pics for quite a few girls on the site, if anything she might be able to refer you to someone. Also AmyH's SIL is a photog in LA, you might PM her and see if her SIL does BD photos.
  8. oh no I hope its not one of the 4 ladies, gosh how awful..I hope it doesn't ruin the entire thing!
  9. oh Rachel, the Peppermill is on the south end of town, no biggie...well I know everyone has felt them, but my dad lives in Sparks (east end of town) and hasn't had any damage at all, I am sure the south end of town is similar. Don't change your trip, I bet by June this will all be over.

In other words they were making an exception for us. I spent nearly $20,000 on extras for my wedding including a private cocktail reception and private dinner & dance. They did an amazing job but you do feel like even though you are the customer you don't have any say in anything.... Another policy they should change is their policy for outside guests. They charged us around $100 per guest to come in for our wedding even though we already paid for a private dinner. Heather I know a lot of resorts charge the day pass fee, but honestly the outside vendor thing is crazy.
  11. we stayed at an AI for our honeymoon and the food was great. These people are catering to tourists and that is one of the main things that people want on a vacation is good food. If you are that concerned you should really consider a site visit. If you work with a TA sometimes they can get you a free site visit based on your room block.
  12. Rachel where will you be going in Reno? Most of the earthquakes have been centered outside of Reno to the west (near the CA border) so if you will be in Tahoe you probably wouldn't feel them nearly as much as Jessica has since she lives close to the epicenter. I am sure you will be fine to travel there.
  13. Tami you looked beautiful! Stunning and it looks like a rather fun time...can't wait to see more.
  14. glad to have you back Tami-can't wait to see all the photos.
  15. just saw two previews for the movie---oh it seriously needs to be May 30th!
  16. hmm I think you have a thing for that blue color-must be a Kansas thing, itsn't that the school colors--very cute! I like it...I think the white/blue will look really nice against the sand and ocean.

I couldn't remember what her name was..thanks Amy...we were rather lucky to go to good ol' SAMOHI!
  18. that is so scary, my number is private because of teaching, but thanks for the info Shelley.
  19. Glenda I know you don't want your dad to cook, but if his friends are willing to, I think the back yard is starting to sound like a better option and does it usually rain in late June on Long Island...I mean I know this spring has been soggy but I feel like by June we might dry up.
  20. Nikki, I am a little confused by this posting here...are there any girls on this forum who just pledged your sorority?
  21. good point Trisha, thanks, no we really aren't in need of a new car, we bought my Santa Fe about three years ago and we have a great loan on it, it fits us and I was looking at the estimated gas on a hybrid SUV vs. mine and its not a whole lot more...but I think eventually we will get a hybrid for the environment.
  22. those are great, and I am actually looking around for a photog for some newborn photos so I am bookmarking her site.
  23. So with gas prices on their way up and up, my DH has brought up the idea of possibly getting a hybrid. We recently moved a little further away from the city and work and I now have to fill up a lot more (we still live fairly close) but we also live in an area that is all about being green...so does anyone have a hybrid, specifically a hybrid suv? DH and I share a car (because he takes the metro rail to work) and with two dogs, and a baby, we personally like having the SUV over a car because its much easier for us to have the back area for the dogs, groceries, etc. Anyway...I am up for suggestions. DH liked the Toyota Highlander but Toyota's are super expensive so I am interested in what everyone else has.
