  3. Hi All, We have had a few questions about siggy pics, profile pics and avatars so here is a little instruction guide to all the photos we use on BDW! on the top left hand side of your screen there is a link that says User CP click on that, and you will see a menu on the left side of your screen that gives you options to edit all your pictures and such... Siggy's Here are some really helpful threads on Siggy's http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t866 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1489 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t19654 this is what a siggy might look like-remember to make sure its within the siggy size limits Avatar's here is a sample avatar this should be a small photo of you or a funny photo, remember this shows up on every post. Profile Pictures Profile pictures are uploaded and display on users profiles, currently these are disabled so while you are still able to upload a picture you will not be able to see your own profile or anyone elses. This has nothing to do with points or member status. Please let any mod know if you need help or have questions.
  4. Martha it sounds like you are really doing well, so happy to hear that. Amy, I hear you on wanting to be off, teaching is not an easy profession for preggo's. I put a box under my desk to help me keep my feet up. Wow that is a lot of thank you cards, you guys must have gotten so much stuff, that is great! Lisa call the Dr. asap, I am sure everything is okay but you need to call. Okay here's my update...my little stubborn girl finally decided to turn and now she is head down, so now I just wait. I am feeling huge and uncomfortable, its starting to get really hot and I am constantly overheated. I have last period off of teaching every other day so I leave early and take a nap. I am truly in the uncomfortable stage of pregnancy, the Dr. said I am right within the correct size and that everything looks great right now, so just have to wait another 6 weeks!
  5. thanks again Leigh, I will e-mail her this morning. You are so awesome.
  6. we get ours on friday too! DH is finishing off a credit card.
  7. you look like Debra Messing in that photo-well a really beautiful debra messing! I am so happy it was a great day, can't wait to see more photos.
  8. Tammy you are amazingly generous. Ladies head over to the knot boards and trip advisor!
  9. no the producer came on and said he was finalizing the ending and that just like the shows finale they filmed multiple possibilities. Makes for good DVD sales because they can advertise the alternate endings.

  11. 'Sex and the City' director addresses death rumor May 5, 2008, 4:54 PM EST NEW YORK (AP) -- Will "Sex and the City" have a "Death in the City"? It's been a persistent rumor in cyberspace as the buzz kicks into overdrive for the film opening later this month. If you want the rumor to remain in play, stop reading now. But director Michael Patrick King is ready to free us from some of our worst fears. Namely, that Mr. Big, Carrie Bradshaw's longtime, on-and-off love played by Chris Noth, will somehow kick the bucket. "Kill Mr. Big? I would have been chased around the planet by women with torches," said King, who also wrote the film and produced it along with its star, Sarah Jessica Parker. Actually, the idea of a Mr. Big death was pitched to King early on, the director said in an interview. And it's true, he was aiming for some edge and pathos and melodrama in his script. Just not THAT much edge, pathos or melodrama. "I did want an emotional roller-coaster," King said. "But my ultimate target was to make our 'girlfriends' — in other words, our audience — happy. And I don't think Mr. Big dying would make them happy." The death rumor has led to some naughty speculation. One of the naughtiest: New York Magazine suggested that Charlotte, the pretty and perky Park Avenue socialite, could be killed in a freak tennis accident. So does anybody die? No plot spoilers here. But King, whose movie opens in late May, offered this answer. "It's a summer movie," he said. "Why would I want to kill anyone?" Copyright 2008 Associated Press. All rights reserved. 12. Nurses are pretty amazing people, they put up with a lot and really make the medical profession run properly...so thanks to all you nurses! I already told my hubby that the L&D nurses and postpartum nurses will need some token of appreciation while we are in the hospital having our little one.
  13. hmm not very long, maybe two-three weeks. Not nearly as long as other places, but like I said I have only done it with the purpose of clearing out in grown hairs
  14. I do it every once in a while to clear out in grown hairs. You should let it grow out to at least 1/4 inch, I think it was around a week grow out. Also another tip, try Dove deodandant (their new kind works wonders I swear) my underarms have been so much better since I started using that.
  15. Happy Anniversary Rachelle!!! This is a rather exciting year for you, I hope you had a fantastic weekend with your hubby!
  16. My students gave me the gift of taking their AP exam this morning and an entire day without kids! Just kidding, I love my kids, but its nice to have a break sometimes and of course great if they did well on their exam... so to piggy back on the nurses week thread--Happy Teacher Appreciation week.
  17. thanks Leigh, you are always so helpful!
  18. I am sorry it was such a tragic end, there have been some really high profile situations lately, I was watching the race when Barbaro fell, so incredibly sad. I am so sad for the philly, she was making history by just being in the race and did girl horses proud I think!
  19. Hi All, So Will and I are trying to decide if we want to do newborn photos here in DC or if we will wait until we go to California this summer. Most people say they should be done within the first 10 days after they are born so if that is the case then we will need to find someone in DC. I can easily find amazing photogs in San Diego thanks to Leigh Miller and my cousin who both gave me great referrals, but I have a hard time just finding people off google and that is what I am left with in DC. I did find one that had a reasonable sitting fee but her digital packages started at $1000 () anyway, I just really want someone who will include a CD of the images because I happen to like making my own photo albums and its nice to have them in case anything ever happens to the prints. I don't mind paying for the images but $1000 seems incredibly steep. Anyway, so very long story short, I need some referrals and I know we have some east coast girls around here!
  20. Congratulations! My aunt and uncle got married on her birthday, she gets an awesome gift every year!
  21. have fun girls, I should have a baby by that point (or at least I better)
