I am so proud of CA for doing this, it makes me want to move back there. I live in a stupid state that doesn't allow same sex marriage (dumb southern conservatives). I hope that same sex couples in other states start getting the treatment the deserve, its totally ridiculous that our government thinks its needs to intervene in other's personal family decisions like this. I mean our divorce rate is so high so clearly things aren't working the way they are, why not try something a little different. (sorry 3am rant)

yes she is getting steroids to help Nugget's lungs and at this point every day Nugget stays inside of Ann the better so I am sure Sarah will post an update as soon as she can, I believe she plans to chat with Ann later today. Paul is there now though so now we just wait.

I looked it up and there is one near the hospital, I will get the info to Ann and Paul, thanks ladies. Also we are checking in with her tomorrow about the cards, since we don't know how long she will actually be in the hospital, but we will let you all know.

hmm sorry I am not a lot of help here but what about some of the same types of things that people do for weddings like donations, like donating to the march of dimes in the name of all the guests? If I was going to a shower I would so much rather that than something that will sit in my house and collect dust.

Our dearest Ann has gone into pre-term labor with her little nugget and we want to make sure that they are taken care of since they are in California, which is far away from their home in Minnesota. I just got off the phone with Ann, and she is now off the Magnesium Sulfate (the medication to stop her contractions). It's just a waiting game now. She is still having contractions, but they are infrequent and not painful to her. She was eating lunch when I called her, and Paul was there. Ann feels so much better now that she's off the Mag because it makes you feel hot and weak- it's really a terrible drug in terms of side-effects. She has had some issues keeping her blood sugar under control and they are still working on that, but otherwise she is doing as well as she possibly can in her situation. She is in good spirits and definitely sounds upbeat on the phone. I'll update tomorrow afternoon when I call her again...

we just went with David's Bridal because they were located in 4 different cities (the BM's) and it was just easier.

oh my goodness, I am so incredibly sorry. My heart goes out to you, your dad will be with you the entire way I am sure of that. You and your family are in our thoughts and please let us know how we can help in anyway.

well I got pregnant pretty quickly but my wedding was a big event over the summer and then I went back to work (I am a teacher so I have summers off). Life goes on you do miss it a lot and get so excited for people when they get to plan thier weddings and always offer to help and give advice since I went through it recently. But that's probably why so many of us are still hanging out around here.
