  2. Happy Anniversary! Any big exciting plans? I hope you guys can at least get someone to watch Aiden and go to dinner or something! Have a fantastic 1st anniversary.
  3. my school district was smart and just gave us a four day weekend! I am so excited I need it badly.
  4. I think I would love to add my Dyson Absolute Animal as well...
  5. Laura everything looks great, you are going to be so beautiful! Don't be such a stranger from now on.
  6. oh this is tough, but Abbie is awesome and so helpful with giving airline advice and she's so funny and sweet! For Mrs, I really would love to nominate Tammy for shutting down business for the day to drive to see Ann so she didn't have to be alone, and Sarah for being our on call person during Ann's hospitalization. Since I can't actually nominate them, I think I would have to nominate Jamy (starchild) for helping me out with some baby stuff...and because she is an inspiration for quitting smoking!
  7. so cute, I love your hair, perfect for your wedding day!

  9. our bed, we spent some of our wedding money and bought a costco tempurpedic bed and new bed frame from Ikea, its a king size and I love actually being able to have room to sleep. I love our bed, it was worth all the money we spent on it.
  10. oh its actually a really small picture but she looks beautiful! Can't wait to hear all the details!!!
  11. oh my goodness Tammy you are going to have quite a holiday weekend!
  12. very cute, we missed you around here! Can't wait to see your wedding photos very soon!!!
  13. Dh always goes with me because I get too annoyed otherwise and yes what is with people letting their kids run all over (anywhere). I realize I have no idea until I have my own toddler but seriously! We also have decided that even though its annoying to go out of our way on work nights, we refuse to go to costco on the weekends anymore so we meet up and grab dinner and then go to costco when we have to go.
  14. oh my gosh Sarah that is incredibly sweet and what a great book to have and share with your kids one day. You should take that to the wedding, I bet your guests will love to look at it, or maybe just have it at your AHR.

You don't have to assign them a specific seat but giving them a table to sit at is nice in my opinion. We had a lot of divorce issues that made this necessary for us, but if you think everyone wouldn't mind sitting with others and no one will somehow get left out then I say go for the open plan. Also its fun to come up with table names based on your personalities or wedding theme (since we were in Napa, we had a survey on our website with everyone's fav. wineries and named the tables after those wineries-we also made an attempt to sit people at the table with their winery)
  16. I can understand you wanting to change things around a bit. We wound up choosing a location that was really close to our family (we are from the west coast), Napa was a good compromise for us, we still had lots of people stay in a hotel with us and had the DW feeling, we did a few events with them, wine tour, big welcome dinner, pool and spa party, plus the wedding day. It is possible to still have all of what you want but do it a little closer to home. Weddings are a time that brings everyone in a family together and maybe that's just what your family needs right now, so why not find a great cool location and still do a small intimate family thing...either way we are here for you!
  17. I heard about this too, I bet it will be super funny.
  18. Alyssa I think that you will find a lot of DH's and FI's make more, but I am the bigger bread winner in our family. Will is currently in grad school and hopefully will make more money because of it but right now he works for a non-profit and while the benefits are great he actually makes a couple thousand less than I do per year, but all in all we make good money together (just need to pay off some debt so we can buy a house in this super expensive area)
  19. at least this is something important and not about stupid professional sports, I get so frustrated why our tax dollars are being spent on pro sports investigations. As far as gas prices I don't think this will make a difference but its good that the companies are being put on the spot.
  20. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t10706 you don't necessarily need someone in Toronto, but TA Lindsey is in Canada, not sure what province though.
  21. oh that is really pretty, I like it. I will have to look around for you.
  22. oh Ann she is so cute, sorry you have to leave her today but I know you will probably spend most of your time at the hospital visiting her anyway.
