  1. there is a sticky in the "Bugs, issues or "how to" navigate forum questions" section actually. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t16832 as for pricing, I would check with your vendors on that one as you may have booked them at one price however they typically change prices each year and prices can fluxuate with seasons so they might not want that info out there. also I have moved this to the proper section as you are not actually posting photos in this thread
  2. oh how exciting, well happy early birthday since I won't be around to wish you happy birthday
  3. I am good, just a few contractions on Sunday, my mom flew in and she will be keeping me busy until Tuesday when we check in for the induction.
  4. you can also do them in powerpoint if you would like, but I also suggest seeing if Sarah can do one for you. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t8310
  5. Jessica I personally am terrified of tatoos but I think those are great and I am sure Aiden will totally appreciate them one day.
  6. I think its cute he was so excited to show everyone, that was the one thing my DH did was take care of the website, I gave him the details he needed to put on there and he fancied it up, it was his wedding project. He loved it and we had a great website!
  7. I have heard that wives tale and its probably true for me just like morning sickness meant girl. I had a huge head of hair when I was born. My family has spanish descent so that's where all the hair comes from. Lisa I can't believe you remembered the shower situation-who says preggo brain makes you lose your mind! Yes they finally got it all figured out, it was a combination of a few bad pipes and the tiles needed to be regrouted and fixtures needed to be recaulked. So so far so good. I about threatened the management company that they better fix it before this kid came or they would not be happy campers.
  8. Denise you can send in a picture anytime...and anyone else since we haven't gotten any entries. Shelley is out of town this weekend but will be happy to put some new entries in the journal!
  9. I think its a definite sign of immaturity if that's all a person cares about. When I was younger I had this idea that a certain kind of ring was what I wanted, then I met my husband and my priorities changed, the thought of him spending a certain amount of money on a ring was too much for me, so we bought my ring together (we picked it out together and I put in some of the money for it) and I am incredibly happy with my ring, but mainly incredibly happy with my husband and marriage. For me my ring is not always on my finger, in my first year of marriage I was only able to wear it for a few months then my hands got too swollen from pregnancy. Its really too bad that some women are so concerned with the rock that they don't think about what the marriage means.
  10. oh Mo that stinks, I am up very early as well, I got up so much last night the heartburn was supposed to be gone already-they say it goes away when the baby drops, I think this is going to be a big girl! You know graham crackers and apples were better for my stomach than saltines, maybe try that?
  11. I am okay if it doesn't happen until then, today was the first time I was able to relax a bit, I bought a trashy summer reading type book since I know I won't be able to read anything but baby stuff for a while (Tori Spelling's book) and enjoyed just reading this afternoon. So I am going to enjoy my last weekend with my hubby and my parents are flying in as well as I am really okay with it now. I wasn't this morning (I cried a lot) but now I am okay.
  12. I keep forgetting to post an update sorry. I needed some time for myself to gather my thoughts...so here's the deal, I didn't progress any since last Wednesday so I am schedule for an induction on the 25th. I didn't want to be induced but that's the way it works sometimes, so hopefully things will go smoothly, both my parents get in early next week so that will help distract me.
  13. oh I did this about 5 weeks ago and my cousin is doing it this weekend also! I love Relay for Life, by far the best cancer walk since its for all types of cancer. Good for you-have a blast, its a fun yet moving event!
  14. most salons only have one or two women who do it, but you could always ask your OB if they know of any.
  15. oh yes parents need to teach more, but either way I feel like there is a huge lack of education in this country about protection, abstinence and anything related to sexual health. Its really sad and I think that this story of these teenage girls shows that
  16. I actually taught peer health education in college so I know exactly what you are talking about, I am just saying in the general public school students are not taught what they need to know, nor are they taught early enough.
  17. you can always get a preggo massage, I got one a few months ago and it was glorious!
  18. okay I have to weigh in here...I teach in public high school and have taught at a few schools in various environments, 1 rural school, one urban school and now the school I am at is the most diverse place I have ever taught at...and let me tell you being the pregnant teacher I had plenty of teen age girls walking around looking just as pregnant as I did. It was odd to be planning for my child as there were students doing the same. I didn't have any students this year who were pregnant at least none that kept their pregnancies. I have had a few in the past though and most of them were very happy to have children and seemed to have no idea what they were really doing, none of them really seemed to understand that they did not have normal teenage lives and would never be able to have a normal life. College, work, marriage everything will be different from them. My students have to write public policy papers every year and one of the topics is condom distribution in schools and typically all the students are for it but also most of the kids who choose this topic also begin to realize we need more education about not just STD's, HIV/AIDS, but also about teen pregnancy. I really hope the abstinence only education that the Bush Admin is currently pushing (and will only give schools money if they follow this plan) goes out the window on 1/20/09 because we are not helping our teens with that kind of blindness towards the problem. I also think that boys need to be educated about taking a bigger role in protection and if necessary help to raise the baby, too many of them seem to get out of it (not all, but many)
  19. I went to see them in college, they actually put on a good show. A friend won front row tickets, it was pretty cool
  20. congrats that is so exciting, see maybe he was waiting until he had a name and you knew he was a boy!
  21. Ann you have to be kidding me, this is so crazy. I really hope you get home soon. Will you just rent a car then?
