  1. So this is the place we wound up picking for our wedding and then we will use their hall area for our reception...Its right in Napa off the main road...then the next day we will have a group wine tour. I never thought I would get married in a church, but my Fiance and Mom think it would be really nice. But if we want to we can use their courtyard for the ceremony...not sure what we will do yet, but in the summer they will have a ton of flowers blooming. [
  2. When I was leaving the Bay Area last week, I saw a postcard at the airport that was a collage of Napa Scenes...so I found some winery looking pics and wrote up the info for the back of the postcard and then my Fiance played with his photoshop, which he is now obsessed with. Anyway here they are and they were very affordable. we went to Kinkos and only paid $74 which included the glossy paper, set up fee and cutting charge...but I think they turned out really cute...let me know if anyone needs any info creating postcards.
  3. Will and I just made new Save the Dates using the postcard look...we made them through Kinko's and we got 140 save the dates for $74...I thought that was a pretty good deal
  4. Welcome to the forum--you will find such great information on this forum. There are a lot of other brides looking or planning in the same areas as you. Good Luck and let us know if you need anything specific...
  5. my Fiance posted this all over his friends myspace pages...he couldn't stop playing it the other day when he saw it...

Welcome to the forum, I am sure you get all the info you need here.
  7. I say send them out the earlier the better. I sent my original one out about 10 months before and was able to find out about who would be able to go and it gave some people time to research costs.
  8. Tammy-we couldn't find a winery so we are getting married in a church in Napa and will have a Wine Tour day the Saturday. We are going to make it a weekend, since for a lot of people Napa is still a destination. Now I just have to find a photog, caterer, and figure out how to make the place look like a winery.
  9. How exciting. Have fun planning.
  10. we finally broke down and registered this weekend. We went to Macy's and Pottery Barn, but posted on our website that we opened a savings account for a home down payment and told our parents to spread the word. I heard from a lady at pottery barn that Bed Bath and Beyond gives you cash back for your items...
  11. Sorry I have had this info for a while, but I have been busy with wedding plans...here is all the info for this place...they have a lot of options. They also sent me some pictures so if you would like to see them message me or e-mail me. I will try to get them uploaded sometime, but I am buried in trying to find vendors right now. 2006_Preferred_Partners.doc Wedding_Dates_Available_for_2007.doc
  12. wow this is crazy, I actually bought my dress on Saturday. I went to David's bridal once with my MOH and then another time with my mom and grandma and finally found a dress that I feel very good in and one of the women who worked their stopped what she was doing and said "wow your waist looks so small" which of course sealed the deal, because my whole life I have wished I was a southern belle with a super small waist and beautiful skirts I decided to go with a "wine" theme so my bridesmaids will wear dresses in Chambord. Once the dress gets in I will post pictures of me in it...
  13. Sarah, I also went to David's Bridal and found them to be very helpful and their $99 sale started this Saturday. I really liked their dresses and thought the quality was great.
  14. I found this site and they have simple cute things in case anyone is looking for place card holders, favors, or items for the OOT bags...enjoy My Wedding Favors - Wedding Party and Bridal Shower Favors
  15. the beach embossed dresses are very flattering. I ordered one to see if I wanted my bridesmaids could wear it, its actually a cotton material but it doesn't look like it once you have it on. I also ordered one of their wedding dresses just to try it on, the material was beautiful, I just didn't love it on me, but it was a great dress for a DW. Happy Shopping. ps. if you need to return you can take it back to the store instead of shipping it back...
  16. I ditto the ease of wedding window. When we changed our plans the two weeks ago, it only took me about an hour to change our entire site with new info...they also have a new website builder tool. They also have a lot of colors and picture options.

Valerie, that is so weird, my MOH and I went to David's Bridal on Saturday and picked out the same one (in Peridot-a light green). I am going to change the sash though, my MOH will wear Ivory to match me and the BM's will have a light pink sash, just because I love pink. My MOH was the one who picked it out, I was trying to find something they would wear again, but she tried this one on and lit up and said this is the one. I wish I would have felt like that when I was trying on dresses.
  18. Thanks for all the advice girls...I think Tahiti or Bora Bora for our anniversary is a good idea. I just found out that my mom cannot get a refund on the trip she purchased for Jamaica...so I have to decide between one of the sandals resorts. Jamaica, St. Lucia, Antigua, Bahamas are my options. I am leaning towards St. Lucia because they have a drive through volcano (that is really cool, and I have been to Jamaica once before).
  19. I never win anything...now I am going to keep playing...how cool!!!
  20. yes East Coast, but we can leave directly from the San Fran area. I love the idea of an all inclusive, something romantic, adults only, affordable, a location that has a lot to see near by. I have not traveled a lot in my life and neither has Will so most places will be exciting for us.
  21. Welcome, what a good day to do research for your wedding. Let us know how we can help.
  22. Since the change in plans for my wedding I need to pick a location for our honeymoon. My fiance is still interested in the idea of an all inclusive in a tropical relaxing place. I think my dad is paying for my flight, but I think we will have to pay for the actual trip so it needs to be economical. Any ideas?
