I will start with my story. My FI told me he thought he would pick out a solitaire for me (which I so did not want) and my grandmother had a family heirloom ring that I really liked. However he felt that the ring he gives me should be from him so we started looking around in early January getting ideas of prices and styles, I really liked antique looking rings and wanted a ring that I could have a wedding band with as well. One day in early Feb 06 we went to Jared and found the perfect set up, a ring with the band with it and the center stone was not their so we chose the center stone and its placement. We compromised on his like of princess cut and my like of round/brillant cut and came up with the pefect ring for us.

I know we have a whole thread about pictures of our rings...but I was curious how "non-traditional" my fiance and I are... how many of you helped to pick out your ring? Were you completely surprised about your ring? I would love to hear stories about picking out the ring...

well with all these girls in your area-I am sure someone has a single friend or two-maybe you need to go to the girls get together and "take pictures" so they can introduce you to thier friends? why aren't you using Jack to get you some ladies? He could be quite the catch with that little tongue

oh maureen-quite a few girls registered there also, speak with Ann (akh) and Tammy (host) regarding them. Make sure you check out the reviews and info for all of those resorts in the Mexico area of the forum. We have brides who have actually been to all of those resorts and/or are currently planning their weddings there. We also have brides who are already married and can give you lots of advice. Take some time to look around the forum .I know its overwhelming, but speak with the Host-Tammy about costs, she is a travel agent and also got married at dreams and can help you narrow down your choices.

I have been thinking about joining a gym and all the gyms in my area are $70 a month!!! OMG that is crazy, I guess its the bike in the house and videos. Once it gets warm I can take my dogs for walks, or pulls which ever side of the leash you are on

they have Beaches and sandals in Jamaica-that's why we were looking there-so people who wanted to stay at an Adult AI could stay at sandals and familes and singles could stay at Beaches. Also to have their free wedding you would need to stay at Beaches for the first few nights (until the day after the wedding) and then you can move over to a Sandals
