  1. Tammy how do you find that out? Do you just google destination weddings? I just typed in best destination wedding and the site was first? I assume when people are looking they type in destination weddings right? I know weird question, I just am so interested in all things computer related...
  2. Okay here is the tungsten ring...it totally looks the same as any other ring and right now Gold is super expensive so this one was actually cheaper than getting a white gold ring. our rings totally don't match, but I think that it would be really hard for a man's ring and woman's ring to match, but I think they go together nicely. this is what it will look like with my e-ring and wedding band with his wedding band sorry for the picture size, my camera takes huge files...and I didn't shrink these ones-I hope this helps

  4. okay the camera is in the car-I will take one later today but here is a website link to find out more infoTungsten Rings
  5. Will's was $450, let me try to take a pic of it for you...sorry he just told me it's a type of metal, a very strong kind. I will go find the camera now though
  6. I don't think that would sound cheap, these people are all coming to see you get married, so why not just set up a little schedule for them all and say that you would love for them all to meet and let's meet up at so and so place at so and so time. Also I know that some of the girls have been able to work out deals with their hotels about welcome dinners, check with Tammy (host) about this, I think she got a great deal on some extras for her wedding.
  7. Jilly have you thought about getting Steve a tungsten ring? we were told those are the most durable rings, that is what my FI got and it wasn't that expensive.
  8. Great idea Jill. I will have to investigate
  9. Jilly you know we are picture crazy around here...I bet she is getting excited to see you guys get married and get all dressed up for the ceremony. Not to mention the vacation...
  10. like on photobucket. basically you need the address of the picture to display it in the page. If you right click on a picture on a website and go to properties, then you will see the address the URL. If they are photos from your computer you need to upload them to a hosting site like photobucket to get a URL from them.

  12. Edyta-I love the second one and am totally sending it to my friend right now. thanks. The first one is kinda funny because she has been trying to make sugar calla lillies all week so we can possibly use them on the cake and that's what is on that cake-but you're right something about it just doesn't look right.
  13. Glenda I couldn't see the first one, but the one with the sea horses is really elegant...
  14. Edyta those are really pretty, the chocolate one would be really pretty. I think simple is better also. I think we are going to wind up with a three layer and instead of flowers we are going to use grapes...
  15. Oh I just had the best idea-if I can find nice frames (like a 5 x 7) for a decent price, I can use those for my table name frames and then use the frames for pictures to give to my parents, grandparents, etc. This way I am not wasting money on things...hmmm look at me already saving places.
  16. I have a bunch of pics let me upload them and I will post them. One of my best friends and bridesmaids is making my cake, I am so excited about it.
  17. that's a good idea, since none of our parents need anything...but do you think we need to give them anything at the rehearsal dinner? We have four sets of parents My dad/stepmom Mom/boyfriend His dad/stepmom His mom
  18. In my budget program on wedding window, there was a budget item for parent gifts. Do you all know what this is about? If my parents are paying for the wedding and his dad and stepmom are paying for the rehearsal do I have to get them gifts? How much do you think I should spend?
  19. Brenda-you should post that power point of bouquets in the bouquet thread...they are really great
  20. okay Glenda-hey can you do me a favor and look at this thread about my photog because I really trust your honest NYer opinion http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2883 I know we can cut down too...I am determined because I don't want to put my parents in a position where they feel overwhelmed like I already do.
  21. Thanks Glenda-I got my 1,000 today, but you are going to be there so quick-I am glad you are cutting back. I went through my receipts last night and worked on my budget a little bit, I am way over already so I have to start figuring out where to cut now.
