  1. Ann they look great. I have been working on mine too and I agree with Kate with them all being unified they look expensive. Honestly when I first saw the pics I figured you ordered them.
  2. I see that they are different looking then the little bottles you usually see, but other than that what is the difference?
  3. wow that is an amazing deal. congrats...I agree with pearls being bridal.
  4. Macy's always has them half off. I got my pearl earrings and all my BM's necklaces there for a great price.
  5. I don't think I would want a blue dress, not with poofy sleeves, but I do want to feel like a princess...I think my dress makes me feel like that.
  6. really I will have to let the girls know. I have not been a part of the planning at all...I told them they had to deal with the whole thing..
  7. I think she sent them this past week, I haven't gotten mine yet, but a few girls did. If it doesn't come soon, let me know. It's March 31st in San Diego, but I think we are going to Temecula too. Everyone is having a slumber party at my mom's...totally a girls weekend...how fun.
  8. Would you dress like a Disney princess for your wedding? - Styledash Just what you always wanted for your wedding day: to be a princess. Thanks to a new initiative from Disney, that dream could become a reality. The company has recently introduced a series of dresses fashioned after their fictional cartoon heroines. In a Wall Street Journal interview, designer Kristie Kelly says Cinderella is "classic glamour," Snow White has "sweet elegance," Ariel from The Little Mermaid has a "sultry allure" and is "comfortable showing her body," and Jasmine from Aladdin is "bohemian chic." I'll never be able to watch The Little Mermaid the same way again. Would you wear Disney on your wedding day? hmm it will be interesting to see what they come up with.
  9. oh that's a great idea. Well I love your first attempt and I am sure the final will be beautiful...by the way I sent you an STD the other day, but I know you guys are trying to save money so its okay if you can't come-but I would love to have you there. Did you get the bach party invite yet? I am using my grandma's closet as a storeroom right now. Its nice to have family close by.
  10. I think a mixture of different vases would be really cool. I ordered my vases from the craft store Ann posted...sav on crafts.Save on Crafts, Wedding Supplies, Silk Flowers, Tulle, Scrapbooking & Discount Craft Supplies Save-on-crafts they all came in one piece and I think they ship out of CA so shipping costs to my grandma's house were so cheap for all that I ordered...although IKEA might be cheaper but who knows.
  11. yes he is in Virginia, northern Virginia, since his phone number is the same area code as mine. great present idea.
  12. I love pearls and those will go with an ivory dress no problem. Pearls and diamonds go incredibly well together.

Now you're only 14 months away.
  14. welcome susan, I think going to a DW gives you the opportunity to do just about any color you want. make sure you post your engagement story, we love hearing about them. And of course we want pics of your ring.
  15. Amy, I think sand and rocks are good, but a little less. Bigger white orchids. They are perfect and I love them. Can't believe you are so ahead, you can really search for the best deals now.
  16. really really cool, I think it would be so neat to incorporate it as your monogram in your invites. The stamp idea would be really cool too.
  17. that is so great they include that. We threw tradition out the window when we moved into together and then moved across the country together. We are actually breaking a law in VA by living together, so for me not seeing each other that night and the whole day of is just to build up the excitement, plus it will be a good time to spend the day with my family and best friends since I don't get to see them that often.
  18. the crab one could be for a groom's cake if you are doing that. How fun...love it!!
  19. Welcome, I originally planned for Ocho Rios also, but was planning on Beaches. I think all of your locations are great but we do have a ton of Las Caletas brides on this forum. Ann can steer you in the right direction with that one. I think the best way to narrow it down would be to think about the following do you want all inclusive? will their be children, singles, older adults? what time of year (considering hurricane season)? let us know how we can help...
  20. can you do this november? you might not get a saturday but it would be a great excuse to move it up.
  21. I like the pink and green one. FI is looking over my shoulder and says he likes the blue/green one because the flower looks best in that one.
  22. I would see what the resort has already, the beach itself is decor right. maybe get some votive and some starfish. nothing too flashy, you don't want it to compete with your big day.
  23. yes the resort should be giving you a better deal since you are bringing them a huge amount of business. I have negotiated better rates with a few wineries for our tour and also with a hotel for our room blocks.
