  4. low fat yogurt and an apple, I am always in a hurry and so its super easy to grab and go.
  5. great idea from Natasha, Kash you should totally do that.
  6. oh you are making me miss LA, those are my favorites! Awww good times in the SM....
  7. holy crap! I am so jealous, and want to do this so bad...leigh want to come to Jamaica for my honeymoon? gosh I wish I could find a great photog for Jamaica now!
  8. congrats! so excited for you three
  9. while it would be really fun, I think you are right that would be a lot of desert. I think drinks would be good, what about getting something fun like sparklers for that money instead.
  10. wow, you can't change your last name to your middle name? weird...I don't understand why she can't change it, did she go to Social Security first? that is what I was told to do.
  11. yes I am sure its a guy thing...I love that I was able to give him certain jobs like the website and transportation, so he felt like he was a part of the planning but still doing guy stuff.
  12. My fiance really wanted a classic car to drive us to the reception since we are moving to the hotel after the ceremony-so his parents are paying for it (dad and stepmom) and I just wanted to share the info in case by some chance someone else wants to get married in Nor Cal. this is the one we are getting for three hours ($150/hour) and it comes with a red carpet too...how exciting. Its a rolls royce, which for some reason is making my FI more excited than anything else about this wedding, at least he is finally getting into the Napa Wedding.
  13. just explain in the invite or on your website that you have chosen to do a destination wedding to have a small intimate wedding with immediate friends and family only but that before you leave you would love to celebrate your nuptials with all your loved ones...but keep in mind that a lot of people would want to share your joy and so doing it after the wedding is smart because you can share your pics...but I love the idea of signing your marriage docs at the "adios" its a great way to get in the mode.
  14. I am wearing a veil, and really long one! I feel so much more bridal with it on, I say go for it, wear a flower and veil, it's your wedding, do what you want!
  15. congrats on your engagement, I live in the DC area too...there are so many places to pick from, I can understand why you are having a hard time. You might want to ask yourself what are your must haves and then look for places that have those. Also an option that I don't think anyone on here has looked into is a cruise, that way you get to go to a lot of places. Not sure if you would have to get married on the boat though because of residency requirements.
  16. hmm if they are all coming from the east coast I am sure you will be fine, but they might not fly everyday so make sure you check on that.
  17. congrats Tara, that is so awesome, yes it does work, stick with it and you will be so proud of yourself!!!
  18. Carly the 17th is a great date! that's my birthday and have you contacted the wedding coordinator for beaches, her name is Renee Phillips, that is where we were planning to get married originally. Let me know if you want to contact her directly. Actually if you book through sandals you get the 11th room for free so that's a cool perk. As for the TA's our host Tammy is a TA and probably can refer you to someone a little more helpful. A lot of girls on this forum had issues with destinationweddings.com and I don't know that I would trust the mall TA's, which might be part of your frustration. Have you considered just the two of you going away and then coming home for a really fun reception? If you are set on having a lot of people there, consider a destination that is closer to home for you and your family, which is what I did in changing my plans. My family and friends are all in the west so Nor Cal worked for me and I still am getting a destination wedding, plus a honeymoon in Jamaica. I bet you could still find a great beach location on the East Coast, it might not be an AI but you still have a lot of options.
  19. your children are so cute, that will be so cool to have them as part of the wedding.
  20. I ate chicken every night last week and had yogurt and fruit in the mornings and lots of fruits and veggies all week...I lost just over a pound and didn't work out except for one day!
  21. I sent out my invites at the end of March and my own mother has yet to respond! I feel your pain. My mail deadline ends tomorrow, so people better get started on the website rsvp.
