    Trista, one of my good friends attended a wedding in St. Lucia and said it was one of the most amazingly beautiful places she had ever seen, so I think St. Lucia might be a good option, Jamiaca Air flies there, you might be able to change your flights (that is the airline you were taking I think) easily, they probably will be happy to keep your business rather than lose it. Keep us updated, I am so sorry for your situation.

    Susan, there is still time for it to turn, hurricanes do that often...do you all have trip insurance? Also, by October the resort can be up and running again. The tourist industry is what makes them money so that will be the first thing they will repair. You still have almost two months, things will be okay, it will all work out.

    okay Trista I went back and read that posting, I think you should wait to see what happens, I know when we were in Ocho Rios, they said usually the hurricanes wind up going on the south end of the island and ocho rios doesn't get badly hit. Let us know how else we can help. Your dream wedding will happen!

    Trista, I am so sorry about this affecting your wedding. Is the resort totally runined? Things could be okay by the time your wedding is here? Or have they already canceled yours?

    don't worry about the hurricane, ocho rios is on the north side of the island which will probably not really get hit...and quite honestly you don't have to do any of the diy stuff, its beautiful in ocho rios just go and have an amazing time with your family and friends.

    I think that is a good idea...you could always send out holiday cards in early december with your wedding website in them as a reminder...that way it wouldn't seem like a wedding mailing.

    both my hubby and I had a wave of calm go over us. I took a deep breath and my dad looked at me and said are you okay? I said, yes let's get this started. I was so happy. Not nervous at all. I had such a fun day!

    we sent some reminder e-mails to the majority of our guests..with our website links and all the info all over again. It saved us on postage and such...

    okay I had to go to KIIS FM's site but I heard the whole thing and what a rip off of an old song and a totally fake voice, its like Paris' song, you can tell its so done over by the studios. And what was the purpose of him rapping...now these two are on my annoying people in hollywood list.

    I harassed people, I made a list of people who had not said anything (including my parents, MOH and the best man), who needed to respond. Most were on FI's side, and told them if they didn't let us know by XXX day then there would not be food for them, or a place to sit at the reception. I wound up only have about 5 people who never responded at all, but it was a lot of work on my part.
