  1. Ann, do you know where you are going for your honeymoon yet? We are only going about an hour away from Puerto Vallarta to a place called verana. ts just simple bungalows in the jungle, i cant wait. V E R A N A
  2. such an elegant wedding, you look goregous. I LOVe your hair as well, I have been looking for a picture of a style just like that. I am totally stealing it : )
  3. I blocked rooms at the Westin in Pv and they didnt require any money or any obligation at all. They are holding ten rooms for me until a month before my wedding.
  4. I just printed it out and framed it. It will be on a table off to the side of the ceremony along with a framed pic of my dad and I and a little candle. Then is the program, at the bottom, I wrote, the candle on the table is in loving memory of the bride's father, Robert J. Mastrosimone. Thanks so much for the idea!! Oh, another thing I thought about doing is, having something typed up and framed that says, in lieu of favors, the bride and groom will donate to The Lymphomia Society (my dad died of lymphomia) Its a nice simple way to honor him but I decided not to do it cause I already have favors.
  5. We are staying at a really small Bed and Breakfast and so far from what I have heard, Puerto Vallarta doesnt have any limos available at all but I find that hard to believe so I figured I'd ask you guys : ) Maybe I'll hire a donkey to give us a ride.
  6. has anyone come across any limo or exotic car companies in the area? I'd love to get a ride back to our wedding night hotel in something other than a dirty cab.
  7. Hola, as promised here is the itinerary.......
  8. I can't even get my fiance to go buy himself a suit for the wedding and yours is building a website?!?! you sure have him trained. : ) I meant to tell you, Nicole finally wrote back yesterday and all is good. I was jsut getting nervous but she just seemed really busy. I just did a rough draft of the itinerary, I'll post it so you can see. Also, when you get your invitations printed, you will probably want to have the Maritime Terminal as the address of where the boat will be departing from. Here is a good map that shows exactly where it is. map.doc map.doc
  9. I know, I can't even imagine my babies going to a kennel, they are jsut not those type of dogs, they are used to sleeping in the bed right in between us and being tucked in. WAY too spoiled for a kennel. I am interviewing a few pet sitting people but so far they have been freaks and smell like cats. : )
  10. I think I have everything under control so far. Today is the due date for the rsvp so I can work on the seating chart etc once I am sure who is going. I have to finish the favors (they are cds I am making). My finance has yet to find a tan linen suit!!! This may seen like a weird question but besides working out, are you guys doing any weird beauty rituals in preperation for the big day? I think I need to start doing weekly masks and stuff like that. Bleach my teeth, etc. Any tips?
  11. WOW, this is harder than I thought!! I chose all the ceremony, dinner, dances music but the dance music is so hard. I don't know any new songs or who sings them. Does anyone have a list of current popular songs that arent too cheesy?
  12. since a shuttle was 12 bucks per person, instead I am putting a little envelope of pesos in each welcome basket. It will be about 10 american dollars. And I will have a picture of a cab on the envelope and it will say something like, here are a few pesos for cab fare, good night : ) Do you guys think that is tacky or totally unneccessary? Its sooo much cheaper than a shuttle because a cab ride would be 10 bucks TOPS for like 4 people instead of 12 bucks for each person
  13. That poem is really beautiful. My dad passed away too and I have been thinking of ways to honor him without bringing everyone down. You could have a table off to the side of the ceremony with a frame picture of your dad and then another frame next to it with that poem. You can also keep one chair empty and put a single rose on it.
  14. ohhh, the spanish phrases, is such a great idea. I was unable to open it thought, i dont have enough points yet. i'm just a newbie
  15. Hi Ann, I just remembered that you may want to see my wedding website since it explains the day and travel tips etc. It may help you when/if you are creating your own. The address is Marisa & Eric's Wedding Website - WedQuarters It was really fun to make!! : )
  16. I Havent booked hair and makeup or the photographer. I wasnt imressed with any of the photographers she offered but I really didnt research other options, have you found any others that are willing to go to las caletas?
  17. Here are a few documents that may help you: And here is what Nicole said about the photographers, along with links: So, I have a few websites for the photographers. We use Roberto Aceves more so than anyone else in town because he is reliable and very good at what he does. Also, there are a few other photographers that we use at times. Franco Gonzales and Carlos Mehlnik - I have included all of their links below. If you do not like Robertos work or you find someone else more interesting, let me know. There are only a few great photographers in town, and these 3 guys offer the packages that we have on the website. In addition, I have included a couple of other ladies at the bottom who are free-lancers and you would need to set up fees and schedules with them on your own. Take a look at it all and let me know what you think. As for hair, well, I have two websites that I can show you. We work with two salons in Vallarta who are willing to go out to Caletas to do their work. Both sites are below. I have also attached the Hair Packages document to this email. The services that they offer in Caletas is specific and you would be able to choose the way you want everything to lookonce they are out there. Sitio suspendido Franco Gonzalez, Photographer in Puerto Vallarta | Weddings and Events Photography Puerto Vallarta Mexico Carlos Melnik, Fotografo en Puerto Vallarta / Fotografia para Bodas y Eventos en Puerto Vallarta /Photographer in Puerto Vallarta / Weddings and Events Photography Puerto Vallarta Mexico Fotografos de Bodas en Puerto vallarta Others . . . 18. ok, i'm new to this whole forum thing, I'll just respond to you here instead of the other one. LOVE LOVE LOVE that DRESS!!! This is my dress: Amazon.com: Ivory Halter Evening Gowns from Dina Bar-el: Apparel The butterfly release is like 7 bucks a person I think. There are two sizes, small white butterflies or the big orange ones. The small white ones may be about 6 dollars each. I can show you the photographers you can choose from, the hair salons and some other stuff, I'll post in a few minutes. So glad I can talk to someone who is in the same boat!!!
  19. Good Morning! My wedding is January 27, 2007. I am having the Deluxe wedding and I think about 50 guests will be attending. I think the intimate wedding is for 25 people or under and the main difference is that your guests would eat dinner down on the beach instead of up on the patio area. How many people are you having?
  20. Ann, thanks for letting me know aobut this forum, its great. I will post some pictures Nicole has sent me as well. Nice detective work on tracking people down for more information, i tried to do that with no success. I am getting nervous, I havent heard from Nicole in a couple of weeks and i am waiting to hear back from her on a million things. My wedding is in less than 2 months and lots of things are still up in the air but I'm sure everything will workout. Did you decide on a dress yet? I am pretty short so I am wearing wedge heels for the ceremony since the isle is on a jut sort of runner. Just wanted to let you know so you can keep that in mind when you get your dress. Did Nicole tell you about the butterfly release available? Live butterflies released by each guest instead of throwing rice or something. So beautiful. I need sleep, feel free to ask me more questions, hopefully I can answer them and I will probably make more sense when I am not so exhausted. goodnight.
  21. Hi everyone, I am a las caletas Bride, the wedding will be January 2007, I am so excited but getting nervous!!
