  4. have you been to cinque terra? (5 vilages). i went there while in college & i think we took the train in from genoa or rome. it is an amazing place - it consists of 5 villages built into the cliffs right along the sea. you can hike between them and stay in different locations, or wine taste and go into the next village for lunch. it is SO beautiful! do a google search to find out more. We loved it!!

You looked gorgeous and very happy. The more pics I am seeing, it really makes me happy I chose Dreams over Riu. thanks!! we used Cascada Terrace. on my site visit, i really liked Oceana, but with a group our size (~100 ppl), they recommended Cascada. We had 9 tables set up with the dance floor in the middle. It worked really well!! I made the luminarias myself. There is a thread on here about them - I printed my logo on clear sticker paper (from Staples), then cut out the logos and stuck them on the bags. I got the bags from Michaels. They turned out really cute and it was cheaper to make myself with the logo, then to buy plain ones from Mariana or Maye. I'm excited you are getting married at Dreams - you will LOVE it!
  6. Kash - I LOVE LOVE LOVE your dress!!! It is so worth it! Your FI is going to fall in love all over again! You look amazing! Imagine how the professional photos are going to look! I'm so happy for you!
  7. We did the Irish blessing, but modified a little. My step sister read it at the end of the ceremony and she started crying which made all of the rest of us cry. It was really nice. We also did Corinthians and another wedding prayer. let me know if you want to see any of them.
  8. Sarah - I missed all of your pictures somehow! You look amazing!! Your flowers are absolutely gorgeous and I love your decor! Congratulations!!!

Everyone has asked us to plan our one year anniversary at Dreams and invite them all back for another party! We are thinking about it!!! I'm having a little bit of wedding blues because I can't believe it is over. It was honestly the best week of our lives! We are back until the 15th, then we go on a honeymoon - can't wait! 15. Hi Girls, We leave tomorrow for our wedding!!!!! I am so incredibly excited! We'll be there 5 days before our wedding (sunday june 3) and I can't wait to sit in the sun (finally relaxing) with some margaritas having fun with my friends and family at Dreams Los Cabos. We spent the entire weekend working on last minute details and I still have to pack so I can't read the 1200 unread posts I have! I just want to THANK all of you on this forum for all of the advice and support and ideas you have given me for my wedding. I honestly could not have planned my wedding so thoroughly & so easily without all of you. Thank you all very much! ALL of my vendors I received through forum recommendations and I got tons of other great ideas for DIY, decorations, ceremony & reception details, OOT bags, form letters, programs, monograms, etc... THANK YOU SO MUCH! Enjoy your week and I'll post my full report once we return on June 5th! (we are honeymooning at the end of the month) Tammy - I really hope we can meet up in Cabo! xo - Jen

I found some info from some knotties and will try soaking in alcohol or a bleach/fabric softener mix and then drying in the sun. They've been in the garage and outside for a few weeks with only a slight change. Not very appetizing to have a "sea" smell next to your plate. Angela - that is SO funny! mine STINK too! (really bad) I bought the white ones. I have kept them wrapped up in the box so I can transport them easily. I'm worried about the smell once I open up the box when I'm down there. Maybe I can leave them out on my balcony & I'll have to try the soaking method too...

You guys can sit inside and kiss or just sit in inside and look lovingly at each other. *sigh* Can you guys tell I feel romantic? That's a very cute idea Glenda!! I just read this out loud to my FI and he laughed... I like it though! I did order more from Maye so now I have one sparkler per guest - much better!! thanks girls!

I haven't decided yet if I'll go or just stay back at Dreams...
  21. I'm using JT Watersports for a snorkel trip. If you book online with Paypal, you can get it for $35.10 (10% discount). I have spoken to the manager and he is really nice and so helpful!!! I'll post my review once I'm back from my wedding (get back June 5)...so far, I recommend them just from how helpful & thorough they have been!

We did cute little flower pots filled w/ sand...almost like an ashtray I guess. Anyway, it was a safe place for people to get rid of their sparklers and not risk any stray embers or sparks getting on things. Your reception site may already have this taken care of. But I just thought of it. Rachelle - thanks so much for all of the info & advice! I'll ask about the sparklers ash trays / flower pots - great idea!
  23. congrats & welcome!!! you will find great information & resources on this site! enjoy your planning and ask us any questions! i'm getting married at Dreams in 10 days - aaah!!!
  24. I finally got some golf quotes from the concierge at Dreams. Attached are the prices. I have decided not to organize a golf event and instead I just sent out the golf price list to my guests & those interested can organize it on their own. I am doing a snorkel trip through JT Watersports. They have been really easy to work with & very helpful!
