Ann - you are the best! thanks!! this is one of my next projects.

I finally got around to buying white bags from Michaels and I'm going to try to make the luminarias with our template on the clear labels. I'll post a pic when I'm finished. Questions: 1) Do you put a design on each side of the bag, or just one side? 2) What size candle do you use? I want to have the luminarias around the reception area at Cascade (dreams) and I wonder if votive candles might burn out too quick... Let me know what candles anyone else has used and if I should get them down in Cabo or bring down. Also, can you just put the candle in the bag and not need a glass container around it? thanks girls!!

We are planning to use the Dreams speaker system for our rehearsal dinner (in Portofino). We want a microphone and Mariana quoted me $145 as well for the system so we will probably have an Ipod as well for background music. She said a lot of people use it and it works well so I think you'll be ok...

the spa prices have gone up for 2007. i have been in contact with someone from their spa. i'll get her to email me a current price list and i'll post it.

hi glenda! here are my answers: 1) we are bringing in an outside cake (got it thru jennifer hatton cakes in cabo - delicious!). she charges for the cake but dreams is not charging us. we got dreams to reduce the price of our reception dinner by $2 since we are eliminating the dessert course and bringing in our own. 2) i got my room block thru tammy host. she can help you with this question - depends on how many rooms you get and the going rate. 3) we are doing OOT bags but withOUT water. there is bottled water in the room and also you can get it from any bar / restaurant around the premises. 4) i think maye did quote me for an aisle runner, i will look up the price for you. we are having our ceremony on the sand with rose petals as our runner. hope this helps!!!

I think yoga is great for toning your arms (and everything else!)

We aren't hiring a videographer b/c we don't have the budget for it. But a lot of girls definitely recommend it! We'll probably get someone to use a camcorder for the ceremony, then we have Juan to take a ton of pictures of everything else!

christine - did you find yours? let me know when / where you get them. I'm still looking for some.

My FI bought his groomsmen brown flip flops (rainbow brand, lasts forever) that they will wear for our wedding (& they will wear back at home). I think he is also buying them the white shirt that we are having them wear (short sleeved banana republic or quicksilver silver edition) - we still have to find it and see how expensive it is! He is actually more on top of this than I am - I still have to decide on my bridesmaid gifts. Any fabulous ideas?

Save the link onto your desktop or somewhere. Then open up Word, click Open and browse to the file name. Then click on 'Open & Repair' (drop-down under Open). I just did this and got it to open ok.

I'm having my ceremony at 5pm. Our photographer suggested that we leave ourselves at least an hour or hour and a half of pictures in the sunlight afterwards (i have a huge family and lots of pics to take). Plus we want to get our party started earlier since we have to end at 11pm.... We are doing: 5-5:30pm Ceremony 5:30-6:30pm Cocktail hr ~6:30-11pm Reception

I'm using DJ Ricardo too for $215 an hour. I met him during my site visit and really liked him!! I got his info from Rebecca - she loved him!

christine - that is so funny! i was just going to post asking you to tell me how the rosie bands look but that i was going to try to find tiaras since my flower girls have dresses that look like princesses and i think they would LOVE tiaras! please tell me if you find where to get more kid ones!! i'll look too. there is actually a store near my house that might carry them, i'll let you know what i find.

I thought about the same idea - getting some for the bridesmaids! It would be really cute!! I ended up just ordering the one blue starfish for me (& others to share...) Just so you know, it's $15 just for shipping!! But so cute! I'm happy to pass mine on. thanks again for the great idea!

We are having our reception at Cascade Terrace at Dreams. We will have 80-100 people. I have been thinking about the set up and wondering about hanging lanterns and tiki torches. Mariana said she could hang lanterns at each edge (thru the palm trees). I can't decide if I'll do this or not. Has anyone else hung lanterns at Cascade? For those that had their receptions there, did you have enough light? How many tiki torches did you use? And did you also have luminaries? Also, did most of you have your reception on the lower area or upper? If lower, did you leave some of the lounge chairs out on the upper area?

Thanks for the template!! Dreams in Cabo charges if you ask them to deliver the bags to the room, so I am just leaving them at the front desk and asking them to give to everyone when they check in - I think it will be a nice touch for each to get a bag as they check in. If I'm not there before people, I'll hand deliver them.
