  1. Try this link http://www.fiestamericana.com/portal/FAG_index.jsp Click on "Los Cabos" Carretera Transpeninsular, Km. 10.3 Col. Cabo del Sol Los Cabos, B.C.S, 23410 TEL.: +52 (624) 145 62 00 FAX: +52 (624) 145 62 01 It says the toll free number from the US is: 1-800-FIESTA-1 hope this helps! I'm waiting to get a direct contact from my friend for you too...
  2. ok, i heard back from the friend. she did not use the spa at fiesta americana but her niece & sister in law got massages and LOVED it! she may have the sales contact at home. are you still looking for contact info?
  3. I like #1, it looks realistic!! What kind of flowers are you using for your bouquet? Maybe you could try to match...
  4. Tammy - I was originally thinking of this location for a wedding based on a friend's recommendation. She had her wedding there and my sister went and said it is SO beautiful!! I would think you could email the hotel directly for spa quotes? I will ask my sister's friend if she used the spa - I'll let ya know...
  5. Melissa - I am SO excited for you!! Enjoy the pampering and ENJOY Mexico!!! Can't wait to hear all about it. WE will all be thinking about you!

  7. I think it's a REALLY cute idea!! In fact, I might steal it...
  8. I certainly hope not since I'm doing the same thing!! I don't think it should be a problem.

If I had a smaller wedding, I would suggest the bigger size (5-6") since they are measured from the tip of one leg across to another and aren't as big as they sound. It will work fine for me since we have to lay all 100 out on a table and I need the space. But I think the 5-6" might look better if someone wants bigger.

Thanks Janet! I agree - I need to work on the tie. Wrapped just once should look much better!
  11. Thanks Juan for not committing to too many weddings right around me & Tammy! Tammy would not be happy if there was another wedding right before hers... Quick question - we found Keith's suit this weekend and we are deciding between a solid color or striped for his tie -- the solid is a bright blue and the girl in the store suggested the stripe (blue & cream) so that it doesn't stand out as much as the bright blue and so I can be the focus! ha ha!! But which tie do you think is better for pictures? (striped or solid, or does it matter)?? Gracias!
  12. Here is the first attempt at my starfish placecards. I don't know if I'll stick with only red or only turquiose or a mix. I haven't figured out the best way to tie yet, but here's a quick look at them: Also, here are the 'curled hearts' I mentioned in another post. I got these from Martha Stewart. You write the name of each person on the heart (before you curl it) and place it in their glass at the table. We are doing a mix of bright colors and will have these for our rehearsal dinner (mexican theme). We have 100+ guests so I think it will look bright and festive for our place cards for RD (& cheap and easy too!).
  13. My friends used that book and loved it. I need to go buy it - thanks for the reminder!!! We are going to an engagement encounter weekend this coming weekend at his mom's church. We initially signed up to please his mom but I'm really glad we are doing it and have heard great things about it. As others said, I think getting the hard questions / difficult topics out in the open is always good! I'll let you know how it goes.

Hopefully we are the only two that week...
  15. Great pictures Juan!!! I'm so excited you will be our photographer! I love seeing your new pictures! We can't wait!
  16. Those are my colors too!!! Thanks Melissa - such great ideas!!!!
  17. I was really happy we did a site visit!!! Both of our parents were not crazy about a wedding in Mexico and so we took TONS of pictures when we were down there. It was great to do the food tasting and meet the coordinator and other vendors too. We are having a big wedding though (~100 people) so I think it was really necessary for us. We got 3 nights free at the hotel and just coordinated it around a vacation (new years). I highly recommend it, but if you can't make it happen, I wouldn't worry about it b/c you can get all the info you need from this site and over email with your vendors and coordinator.

  19. Sarah - I love them!!! Your ring is beautiful! I love the flat shape of your FI too - that's what we want but in white gold for him. I dragged my FI out yesterday (we were both not feeling too great from St Patricks) and we drove an hour to this ring place where my friend got her bands. I was stupid and should have called ahead, but it turned out they are closed on Sundays!! Aaah. Now I have to put it off another week and make him go shopping next weekend.
  20. Ann - I posted a link to some cheap flip flops I bought at www.aldoshoes.com on your other post with ann taylor loft sandals. Check out Aldo - I like their shoes a lot.
  21. here's another idea from Aldo: They have some cute ones -- www.aldoshoes.com
  22. Ann - I just bought these: ALDO shoes - ALDO women's footwear for all occasions: dress sandals, casual sandals and city sandals. I wanted ALL white (i didn't want dark soles showing under the dress) and I wanted some shine and a little bit of a lift since I got my dress hemmed with shoes on (i wish I had done it barefoot). They are comfy and only $20!!!
  23. thanks - great site!! I need to get some gold shoes for the BMs.
  24. Congrats Tasha!!! SOO excited for you!!! Enjoy every minute!!
